The best restaurants serving Indian food in North East

First time using this restaurant takeaway as we are totally spoilt for choice in Sunderland. I had a tikka chicken madras keema pillau and dal tarka. Have to say the food was excellent with quick delivery. Looking forward to taking my addict group to sit in to try the service.

Very enjoyable, this restaurant is consistently very good, every time we're in Durham we go to this restaurant, we have had several take away meals and also eaten in the restaurant and every time it has been fantastic, great menu, very tasty and well presented and very well priced, staff are attentive, and friendly, well done guys we will be back.

I ordered food at approx 1915. Add suggests up to 30 mins delivery time. It arrived at 2137, barely luke warm and I absolutely won't take a chamce on eating. £24 wasted.

Everything was Mangnifient, staff go way and above to make you all have a fantastic time when you are there, the atmosphere was amazing so chilled and the food, was out of this world.One of the best Indian restaurants my family and I have ever been to, we all had a fantastic night out. Nice indian restaurant on shields high street (ocean road) good food pretty standard but nice and the staff are friendly...nice and clean worth a visit!

By far the best chippy, food is always hot and fresh, staff are always talkative and friendly

Yeah same as the olden day there's been no change the food is nice but could do with some fresh dishes. Try doin some special dishes to see if they'd work on the menu

Ordered via uber eats. Simple order. Tandoori mixed grill. Keema naan tarka dahl . My gold standard is Fawdon tandoori ,tandoori came with 50% chips. Not expected. I ordered one keema naan. Both naans were cold. The tarka dadl was good flavour it was very thin Tandoori flavour was also poor. This is just my opinion when compare to Fawdon tandoori

The last time I was here it was the Royal and previously the Zolsa about 30 years ago We had a great meal I had King Prawn Vindaloo and Fish Barji to start. I couldn’t fault it.. 10/10

It went in the bin, rude staff and was happy to take a bad review, the food was tasteless, got to be the worst takeaway ever. Don't waste your money
