had a takeway on thursday night food was banging i recommend you guys try there chicken jalfrazi and also there tandoori lamb tikka was well cooked and the right spices 👍🏽

Ordered a chicken tikka bhuna and vegetable madras Collected I shop and they gave me a chicken madras Vegetable bhuna. Tried phoning multiple times and no answer used to be a great Indians But has fell off a cliff

I regularly get a takeaway from the NNB and it's always very good, the chicken achaar in particular is a lovely meal - many thanks 👍👍

We have been trying different venues for a couple of months but have returned to the New New Bengal. It is absolutely the best. Delicious food and generous servings. Will definitely be returning.

Foods always delicious, quick service. Maybe a bit too quick to tidy up when you're nearly finished. Feels a bit rushed

We went to the New New Bengal for my birthday lastnight. Been a little while since we have been but my god I didn't disappoint at all. The food was beautiful. The staff were fantastic same as always. At 1 point we even had the owner bring us some of our food. Honestly can't fault this place at all. Best curry in Newcastle and staff go above and beyond. Been here few times and as always superb and as always ordered way too much so had tasty lunch today.beautifully clean..staff lovely amazing food. Pickles. Pompadoms..3 starters..3 mains..a side...2 chips...rice and 2 naan. 1 large cobra and bottle of wine for less than £90 ...fab service. Can't recommend enough.thank you

Went for fathers day restaurant only had a few people so was quiet ,took a long time for food to come to table and wondered why ? Then seen lots and lots of takeaways getting collected seems they are so focused on takeaways that the service for the restaurant is let down ,food was lovely but waiting time was far to long

Terrible service for restaurant customers more attention was given to takeaway orders. Got charged for things we didn’t order so check your bill ,also they don’t itemise the drinks bill we were charged more then we ordered. Not good at communication there not good at speaking English staff not that happy with customers food wasn’t the best either. Waste of money !!!!

We came to New New Bengal at the start of 2023 as it looked like a nice independent business with good reviews. And we weren’t disappointed. All the staff were amazing and polite. The restaurant is clean and well decorated. But best of all the food. The poppadoms and dips were amazing. We each had a starter: samosas and chicken chaat which were both delicious. Then finally the main courses: we tried a couple of the curry’s, rice, naan and the lamb chops. All were sensational especially the lamb chops. My husband and i were warmly greeted on entering shown to our table ordered drinks and 10 mins later ordered food , friendly staff and excellent food good size portions would highly recommend to friends and family.

The food was not very good which is unusual but we won't be going back I presume that they have a different chef.

Went for a meal after the england match had not been here before. Restaurant was freezing and had to eat the meal with our coats on. Not a pleasent experience and a shame as the food was excellent.

Food not bad, had better. Ordered starters twice and there forgot them 35mins later we got them had to ask. Service not good, the only one who was polite was the young lad who served awere food. Will not be going back. Its all about the takeaway food.

This is the first time we have had a takeaway from here, I have only one word to say FABULUSSSS. My better half said it was the best curry she has ever had. We have had a lot from the Gosforth area, and this is the best well done 5stars.

Great food and service. The restaurant is gloomy and cavernous. Voices carry and it feels noisy. Will just do take-away in future as the food is fab.

Had a lovely mid week meal here with colleagues. Lamb handi with rice included was really full of flavour with a thick gravy. Really generous portions too everyone struggled to finish. Like the paintings in here and the deco. Recommend

Went with friends to the restaurant. We were warmly met, with our drinks order taken quickly. We ordered a mixture of vegetarian and meat dishes. The quality of the food was amazing. Service was great and attentive. Well worth a visit

The Curry was as delicious as ever but it’s a shame to be served plain boiled rice with some onion through it when you paid for onion pilau!

The staff were lovely and the restaurant is clean and modern. I ordered poppadoms and pickle tray, unfortunately they weren't fresh and were soggy and chewy. The mains were a saag dish and pathia. They had lots and lots of meat, great sized portions, they were a little bland for our tastes but would probably suit someone else

We had a meal here on a quiet evening. The food was excellent as was the waiter serving us. However the guy behind the bar who greeted as we walked in, and the lady who came to take our card payment, looked like they couldn’t have cared less whether we were there or not. It won’t stop me from trying them again, because the food was really good, however if the service is the same I won’t be returning

The curry and pilau rice was delicious. I was impressed and I do often eat curry at home. Nan was kind of what you'd expect from any takeaway. Lamb chops were okay too. I overlooked it because it still tasted okay and the price was fair. The service was very good. The chef listened to our requests. Overall a very good dining experience.

Food was ok service wasn’t great. Considering it boasts Indian food with attitude there wasn’t much ‘wow’ in the meals we ordered. The popodoms were stale and the starters were ok but the mains were quite disappointing. Service was odd and it felt like there was a real issue here at times unfriendly.

Went for a sit in meal here and loved it. The staff were very nice. The food was fantastic and We would definitely recommend and definitely return. The tables are a bit close to each other but it wouldn't stop us going back.

An excellent curry meal. The big win for me was the use of chopped chilli in the dishes. The lemon and chilli rice is an example of that. Fabulous meats in the dishes and lovely naan. A very very good curry!

Always a great service with great food

Food was delicious and staff were friendly. However, the table’s were far too close too each other and our table was not big enough for the amount of food ordered. Unfortunately, we weren’t able to move to a bigger table as these were kept for larger party numbers; which meant that our table was quite crowded. But overall, a good experience.

Lovely food and drinks when dining in and staff are friendly and polite too. Food is just as good when delivered too but this restaurant is always busy with diners and deliveries so may have to wait a while for your food delivery but worth the wait.

Worst veggie Bhuna curry we’ve ever had in our lives. It’s like the spices were totally left out, and awful mush of veggies and a weak, thin sauce. Couldn’t even finish it. I’m afraid we won’t be returning.

I was quite disappointed with the lack of communication between the floor staff and the kitchen staff. After a discussion with the waitress my wife ordered the chicken Kori NOT TIKKA chicken Kori however they brought TIKKA this was then changed for the correct order. I had ordered the chicken tikka Balti when this came it was a bit bland while eating I could see the water running out of it the head waiter changed this straight away. The second meal much tastier and of better consistency. If they could get things right first time it would be a better experience. the atmosphere downstairs is pleasant enough but upstairs is like a café due to the fact there's no soft furnishing for deadening the noise.

I have used this restaurant as a takeaway many times, the food has been varied from average to really good. However we had a meal delivered last night from the New New Bengal and the standard of the food was very disappointing. I do not usually leave a bad review however both mine and my husband's meal was completely tasteless and had this been served in a restaurant would have been sent back. Will not be using this restaurant again but will source another takeaway outlet.

Amazing service and delicious food which didn't disappoint. Had the Tikka masala and chicken korai, both very good. However I usually judge an indians on its sag/palak paneer and this was amazing. A very warm welcome, we were sat beside the door which was raining and cold but asked to be moved even though the place was full anyway got moved. We visited tonight, it was incredible! We called and booked an hour or so ahead, they were very accommodating. The food was amazing! Wonderful flavours and a great selection. Would happily visit again!

Delighted to find this wonderful local takeaway. The food is delicious and flavoursome. My kids are very happy with the chicken tikka mossala. We’ve tried bhuna, pathia and jal freizi (sp?) and like them extra spicy. What’s brilliant is that they don’t just whack a load of chillis in but you can actually taste all the other spices too. Amazing pickle tray for popadoms which are equally tasty for (a hungover) breakfast! Thanks too for our lovely Cobra gifts,very thoughtful. Highly recommend
