A really good take away, we couldn't fault it, food so tasty, onion bhaji best we have had, served with salad and yogurt dressing. Curries large portions, with lots of meat. Ordered an hour before we wanted to collect and it was ready when we called at the restaurant. Staff very friendly. Cash only, no cards taken. Highly recommend

Chose this Indian restaurant over others as it opened at 4 pm which allowed us to have a quick meal before catching train home. Some unusual items on the menu. We were very pleased with our meal and the friendly and attentive service. Nice relaxed atmosphere. Looking forward to a return visit.

Well, after 64 years on this planet, I may have found the best Indian meal - Shahi Tukra at The Monsoon, Low Fell. We've eaten at this cosy restaurant lots of times, and I've never had a bad one. But this has set a very high standard for every meal to come. Delicious chicken breast in a lovely sauce including Spanish Onions which just gave it a hint of sweetness among the delightful (medium hot) sauce. Highly recommended 5* in my books

The Tandoori shop is a small counter at which you order food to take away; there’s no seating except a bench on which to wait for your order. You do wait (e.g., 20 minutes), which is fine because the food is made when you order. For a small takeaway place, the menu is huge: every assortment of Indian fare you could want—plus pizza. You can pick the proteins sauce, type of rice. The food is good and a good value (even if there’s more sauce than protein)—especially the naan.

Really disappointed with our takeaway for my son's birthday. A curry now isn't cheap so it was a treat night for us, however the balti which I always have was watery and tasteless. I've never had a curry lacking taste before and my son and I are both a little unwell following our treat night...

Unfortunately this is not a proper Indian restaurant anymore but a cafe that sells Indian food, the takeaway food was really great and the service was good but if you're looking for a sit in meal then it's disappointing.
