Service for delivery is really bad. I ordered at 18:00 (opening time) for it not to arrive and asked to wait another hour !! Not the service you would expect from a delivery service at the moment

I had a takeaway from Aleezas last night as they have a promotion on a Thursday and a Sunday. I had Onion Bhajis, mixed salad, Sri Lankan chicken curry, egg pilau poppadoms and naan, all for 12.95! I collected the order which was ready on time, and was served by a well mannered young man. It was cash only, so no card which is a Food was nice and the curry was very spicy. The bhajis were not the best I have had but were perfectly edible. Could have been less grease on and more strongly spiced. All in all, great value for money and served 2 people well. I think it is just a takeaway now as the restaurant bit didn’t look as it if was set up.

Food for main course was tasty but part of order was wrong. Restaurant were notified and offered to sort it out but we would have to go back and pick it up. No offer was made to deliver it to us (considering it was not our fault) so we had to accept that and go without the correct item. Many other places we have bought from have done everything to correct their mistake. So, unfortunately, based on this experience, will not buy from here again.

Really disappointed, have had a few take aways from here and they have been great. Changed from a Thursday to a Friday and it went to hell. Ordered same thing, lamb chops were fatty and dry. Dopiaza was tasteless but main issue was keema rice, it tasted of coconut! My husband is allergic to coconut. When I rang to point out I was told the rice had not been anywhere near coconut. I was offered a replacement but that is not the issue, I even offered to take it back so they could taste it but they didn't want that, if my husband had eaten it then he could have ended up in ER, the person I spoke to did not even comment on that. We will not return. A bit of advice, if anyone ordering food has an allergy you need to specify it no matter how ridiculous it may be in relation to what you have ordered. You would never expect coconut to be in keema rice!

This is the third time we have ordered from here. Food is restaurant quality but bigger portions. Delivery has either been quicker or on time. Ordered tonight, Friday and quality was amazing even more impressive considering the number of orders they will have taken. Our go to takeaway.

First order in approx 5 year after a friend recommended, checked the menus we had posted stated 10% online discount which or normal take away via Blue Light Card……put the Ores through no discount called and was informed. no we stopped that. Carrier on with purchase and collected once home we both commented on the lack of taste and standard of the chicken. Very dry contacted them shop who read the message but didn’t reply over 14 hours no reply. This was the reason we stopped using this shop after changing hands from The Royal Balti years ago. After paying nearly £17 for a meal.

Had several takeaways from here now, always tasty, hot and delivered on time. Food is reliable and ordering online is easy.

I was so looking forward to the reopening, as a regular customer. And unfortunately I was left disappointed. I heard about the change in chef, and the food is not up to previous standard. Food was very dry, not much sauce and couldn't taste any spices. Unfortunately, this has put me off ordering again.

Food is always piping hot and delicious, staff friendly and polite. Chicken naga is particularly good, very spicy.

From what I gather, this is new management or new chef... And if its either they are doing a cracking job!

First time here, thought we’d try this place since our previous takeaway went downhill and hygiene rating was a disgrace. Order chicken tikka masala, korma, pilau rice bahjis, peshwari naan and chapati. When we got it home it smelt fab but once we started eating it nothing had any taste, tasted like thick water in a bowl. Korma was strangest colour I’ve ever seen. The free chips had more taste than anything. Worst £27 spent and won’t be going back. Oh and naan had raw edges 😕

We ordered our first delivery from here and it was fantastic! It arrived faster then we expected for a Saturday night, was really hot (temperature wise), and the flavours were wonderful. I ordered a vegetable Dansak and my partner ordered a prawn dish, both were amazing. We were both very happy and will definitely be ordering from here again.

Just had a really tasty meal from Aleezas and we were so glad we ordered. I had a Prawn Kabuli and my girlfriend had Vegetable Dansak, we also had Aloo Gobi, Garlic Naan, Mushroom Pilau and chips. I have to say that after being in Lockdown all this time and not having a takeaway for weeks, I am so glad that we chose to order from here. The food was outstanding and would highly recommend anyone to try their food.

Had a number of takeaaway deliveries recently which have all been good until tonight. Poppadoms not delivered, rest of meal cold. Will never use them again.

We have visited Aleezas many times & had several take aways & the food is always very good. I love the onion bhagis, the meat is good quality & well cooked. The service is excellent, the staff look after you but never rush you. The don't have an alcohol licence but you can bring your own & if it needs to go in the fridge the staff will take care of it. The food & service is consistently good & Aleezas has become our regular Indian restaurant to go to & take away

Ordered a takeaway meal online service saturday evening meal arrived when said it would enjoyed both our meals piping hot and good value with 10 per cent discount great Indian food well worth visiting and highly recommended M

Fantastic Indian food whether you are sitting in or having a takeaway. By bar the best Indian in the area.

Tasty food, good value, chips used to be better but now use frozen. I always use these now as appose to bay leaves Ferryhill. Had very little to complain about in last 10 orders or so. Only real down side are the waiting times.

Arrived on Saturday evening with 2 friends I had been aware there was no alcohol license but not worried as I’m a driver and I only drink water. My friends had come prepared with their alcohol! Anyway a warm welcome awaited us and we noted the restaurant to be clean and tidy. We were given time to peruse the menu and even got some helpful tips from the waiter when we asked there was so much choice! We all had starters and mains with 2 rice and one naan between us and there was more than enough. The meal was hot, freshly cooked and you can taste all the different flavours within the dishes and they were not swimming in oil or ghee they were just absolutely delicious and I would not hesitate in returning we all tried each other’s dishes and honestly each one was tasty and different and well worth a visit

Have visited a couple of times now and each time the food and service has been spot on. The food is always tasty and really good portions. We’ve not yet been disappointed, definitely the best Indian restaurant/takeaway we’ve visited in a long time.

This was our second visit in 4 weeks.The restaurant does not serve alcohol but you can take your own.On our first visit service was slow but the last visit was perfect.We were a group of 4 and had the special 3 course £9.99.Excellent value and all our food was tasty and hot.We will be back

Have visited a couple of times this year and despite other negative reviews, we have enjoyed it each time. Varied menu with some dishes we haven't seen on other menus. Service very good and food really tasty. It's bring your own alcohol too 😊

It's been years since I've been here as it was never very good. But got a very pleasant surprise, food was really tasty, all three of us throughly enjoyed our starter's and mains, will definitely be back, can't fault it. Thanks for a great night.

We were staying locally and as per usual checked on TripAdvisor for recommendations locally.

My wife and I asked for a table for two and were seated oppisite a large table of approximately 10 - 12 people. This was at 6pm. As soon as we sat down people were Effing & Blinding at the top of their voices and using other vulgar language. There was a small child at their table but they weren't bothered. We asked to be moved to the back of the restaurant as all the tables were empty there. I was told they were all booked for later on in the evening so we were told to stay where we were. The swearing and abusive language continued and all of the staff just ignored it. We had no choice but to leave. I must stress I am not a snob or prudish but there is a time and a place for behaviour like this and it's NOT while trying to have a nice meal in a restaurant ! The staff knew what was going on but never asked them to refrain from swearing or to 'tone it down' a little bit.

Honestly one of the best Indians I've had! Unbelievably creamy and the taste of it all is just the perfect blend!

I have had a couple of takeaways from Aleeza's which have been fair to good, I have not had a bad one over a 2 year period.

Another visit as been a while and once again great meal and enjoyable and even though we seemed to wait before ordering and getting meal was well worth it food piping hot and v tasty would recommend a visit if u in area 😊M

Ordered a takeaway delivery from here last night sure I got the wrong curry cause it didn't taste like a bhuna like I normally get, definitely won't be ordering here again when no condsinderation or refund!

We used to use this place often but some years ago (5-6 ish) standards changed and the food became virtually inedible and swimming in oil. Obviously we have avoided the place ever since and used restaurants further afield. After reading recent reviews on here we agreed to try this restaurant once again and so pleased we did. The food was superb from taste to presentation. The restaurant had been refurbished and looked great. It doesn't serve alcohol but there is a supermarket 50 yards away where you can buy wine etc. and have it with your meal. We will now visit again regularly based on our recent experience. I would have given 5 stars but the only slight negative was the waiter. He took the orders etc. and was very efficient but he never once smiled or made any conversation whatsoever . I would highly recommend !!

Haven't been here for three years since we had a couple of bad nights when the restaurant was in it's previous life.

Restaurant was comfortable and clean. Service was very good and prompt and staff were friendly and polite. Good menu with plenty of choice and food was excellent quality. The restaurant does not have a licquor licence but this is not a problem . They welcome you bringing your own drinks, and there is a nearby shop to purchase drinks as appropriate Excellent valur for money.Toilets and cloakroom were clean and accessible.

We got a take away from Aleeza's and again not disappointed. The food is always excellent. For me it is the best in the area for taste and quality. Very good value for money.

Called in on Tuesday evening. Dining area wasn't busy. Very clean and smart with tasteful decor. Extremely friendly and polite staff without being overbearing. All 3 courses ordered came within good time, were just right temperature and cooked to perfection. Very good quality food. My friend says the takeaway food is equally as good. Take your own alcohol though as they don't have a licence to serve alcohol (yet).

We have now visited Aleeza’s 5-6 times for sit in meals and we have never been disappointed. The food has always been excellent, service very good and you can take your alcohol which makes it a cheap night out especially if you go on special night as only £9.95. We have also been on a Saturday night and the meal was not overpriced. The restaurant is very clean and I would definitely recommend it. I can not understand why more people are not going! I

Visited here with a friend for a catch up and some good food after being recommended by another friend.

Excellent food and clean and tidy service was brilliant would have given it a 5 star rating accept that the waiter bought us the bill over before we even asked for it then hovered around us untill we paid then keeped wonder aound us. Like he was wanting us to leave.

Visited when it first reopened and experienced a few teething problems.

My husband and I booked a table for Friday night, first time eating here since been taken over.

The 1st time trying and I have no complaints at all! The food was fresh, service quick and above all tasty!

To begin this was a little confusing as we were looking for Royal Balti. The number and address were we found out were the same and on booking we were not told any different.

Went for evening meal tonight v pleasant staff attentive and nicely decorated after slight revamp of last owners both had nice curry dishes and enjoyed you can have option of taking your own alcohol but do provide soft drinks and non alcoholic drink on premises good menu varied choice and would go back and reccomend this gem of a place in Spennymoor to call in M

Previous Experiences from the old Royal Balti were disappointing and we would not order from there, so we tried the renamed Aleeza, the food arrived early, everything including the naan was piping hot, excellent Vindaloo and Massalla, really pleased , it is the Best Indian takeaway we have had in the Spennymoor area, regardless of the owners New or Old, keep it up! Big improvement from The Royal Balti, we will be ordering again 5 Star

Got a takeaway delivered this evening, plain chicken curry and cauliflower bhaji- was absolutely delicious!! Not bad delivery time, courteous delivery man, will definitely be ordering again soon!!

night out with my wife. We ordered the king prawn biryani , fish curry and fried rice. It was very good and we enjoyed it. The staff were pleasant. the biryani comes with an omelette and vegetable curry.

Have eaten in here 4 or 5 times since it re-opened in it's new incarnation as Aleeza's, after 2 faltering Ryal Balti efforts. On each occasion the food has been very good as has the service, it's a vast improvement on what went before and there are some menu items you won't find in most Indian restaurants, such as mussels, crab and liver. They don't have an alcohol licence but are happy to let you bring your own so it makes for a very reasonably priced meal. I've only marked down from excellent as the decor, while very fresh and clean, is a little stark and has been done to a price. I hope my fellow Spennyites support this venture as it deserves to succeed if the present standards are maintained. Very highly recommended and I'll certainly continue to visit on a regular basis.

Order chicken sag wala and chicken rogan. Both very bland with no real taste. Rice also had no flavour!

Food was amazing also the staff made us feel very welcoming recommend lamb naga something different for a small place can’t really complain nice price nice food

Ordered for delivery at 19:30, no show yet, called 19:45 and told out for delivery but no food still at 20:30........if you want fresh food suggest don’t order from here!!!!
