Dilshad Tandoori Indian Takeaway in Northumberland

When you order they tell you one hour 90 minutes goes by then you call to see where food is always say they are running late will be about 15minutes another half hour goes by and still not arrived just wished they would not lie about it this is caused by greed taking on too many orders and can not fulfill them never again

Not impressed, the food all tasted the same - bland, no spices we had starters Bhuna prawn on puree, the sauce was exactly the same through to the mains - Lamb Bhuna - bland and boring sauce. King Prawn biriyani sauce the same again totally bland. I was really excited to try this takeaway following reading some fantastic reviews. A supermarket indian meal has more flavour than the meals we had.

We love the food from Dilshad! However last time they had missed off one of our starters and this time the naan as have had before was abysmal. Indescribably dry, tasteless and dare I say had been re- heated. Come on, yous can do so much better but if you fail to do so you will lose custom.

Once again a truly superb mouth watering take away sheek kebab starter melt in your mouth with unique flavours lamb Pathia still dancing on my tongue with subtle but punchy flavours with perfect onion pilau with Bombay potato side poppadoms and pickle tray, was going to post a photograph but I ate it the temptation was too much, this place beats any restaurants hands down believe me eating curry for 50+ years Lands end to Jon ov groats put this on your bucket list 😋

This place has been recommended to me by more than 1 person and now I’ve tried it I can see why, great food, good portions, friendly staff, thank you, as Arnie would say ‘I’ll be back’ 😀

We only found this place 18 months ago and wish we had found it earlier. Now almost 50 visits later there has not been one occasion where we have had any faults or been disappointed with the delivery etc. The best Indian takeaway in Northumberland by a long way. Keep up the good work!!

Mint food and prices are affordable. Was here on a business trip and was exactly what I needed. Keep it up guys many more visits to come 🤩🤩🫡

The service was very good and efficient. Did take some time as it was busy but it was definitely worth the wait as the food was very good. Would definitely recommend to people visiting the area.

Ordered a speciality curry from the menu Food was an hour late then they sent a phall instead of my mild curry Inedible as it was so hot ! rang them and they promised the original order in 20 minutes 40 minutes later the curry arrived …. Just the curry on its own Had to reheat the original rice , not ideal Nit even a free popadom to say sorry ! Won’t be ordering again or recommending to other s

I ordered a few meals, the Bombay potatoes or Bombay aloo was absolutely horrid. The potatoes weren’t cooked at all. The rest was nice but I’ll never go back there again.

Whilst I appreciate that it’s busy, I don’t expect the menu to change to suit their busy period purely because it’s busy and not because they’ve ran out of ingredients. Food is mediocre at best. Also, our orders are regularly wrong.

We love the food but too often are kept standing waiting to order while telephone orders take priority. My money is as good as theirs, I guess they think if I’m there I’ll wait whereas telephone customers might not. Also not happy that they were taking orders tonight but couldn’t even access their food storage so had no idea when orders would be ready. Asked did I want to go home and come back!

Just found this takeaway recently, but I will not be going anywhere else!!!! The food is delicious, prices are very reasonable, the service is absolutely second to none, I couldn’t fault anything about this place!!!! Top marks every time!!!! I would recommend to anyone and everyone!!!

Had delivered tonight chicken biryani which comes with a vegetable curry. First meal I've tried. Delivered on time, presentation excellent. But sorry to say that the Indian spices were not in the dish. 😟I love Indian food, because of the wonderful flavours. No taste at all in the curry. An insult to Indian cooking. Get your spices correct and the food would be good.

Wow . Heard about this on social media so decided to try it. Cannot fault a single thing. Everything was spot on. Easy to order on line. Delivery guy on time and really friendly. Food was outstanding. Very reasonably priced Cant wait to try again

Had a takeaway meal delivered from Dilshad last night. The meal was of great quality and very reasonably priced. The delivery charge was low too. On the whole a fantastic meal at a great price. We will definately use this takeaway again..👍

The best Indian food which I have ever had, chicken balti and tikka rice along with the garlic nan was full of flavour and the service from the staff was amazing.

Chicken tikka jalfrezi was just awesome, out of this world. JUST BRILLIANT. Can’t fault a single thing with the food or the staff. Would recommend highly to anyone.

On holiday in area ordered takeaway, Set meal, Huge quantities, very tasty food and very cheap, delivered early and piping hot!

Let’s just say, the food is fantastic, never disappoints, tastes so fresh, and full of flavour, so why not 5 out of 5, firstly the website is poor, despite having an account, you have to input you address and card details each time, no PayPal or ApplePay, ok some people don’t like their card details kept, but an option would be good, but most disappointing is a 2 hour delivery time, in 2020 with so many competitors, waiting 2 hours is just not acceptable, does the food make up for the wait? I’m not sure.

Just had yet another meal from the dilshad & can honestly say never had a bad one yet, i will never go anywhere else, thankyou once again keep up the good work

Always Superb. This take away just keeps on getting better and better. Good prices, good delivery and great food. I’ve yet to find anywhere that’s as good locally than this.

By far the best Indian takeaway i have ever had! Its my local and we go very regular. The staff there are very friendly and welcoming. Menu is large and accommodating. Anyone after an Indian's wont be disappointed if they come here!

We heard about this place a few weeks ago so thought we would give it a try. Food is fabulous (chicken chatt is unreal) and is literally half the price of the Indian takeaway we normally use. 100% recommend this place.

We are so lucky to have the Dilshad team on our doorstep. Just tried the nehari dish and wow, their food gets better and better. Always top quality meat and veg. And what a friendly bunch. Keep up the good work!

I have been to Dilshad many times for a indian takeaway and I have never been disappointed they offer delivery which is a Godsend especially when you have young kids, the food portions are very generous, very tasty and I highly recommend going here!!

Usually order to pick up from here and tha usually good how ever a ordered a eastern tandoori kebab ova the fone n they take my Order then send a small kebab starter no nan bread nowt n say they don’t do them kebabs no more so why is it on tha menu n why take me Order over the fone absolute joke and when am tryin to explain they won’t listen won’t be coming back!!

This local takeaway never disappoints. Great value for money and food is always hot and never too late when delivered. Chicken Madras is the best around, not watery and spicy. Starters are good sized and the chicken tikka starter is enough as a main meal.

Lovely food and plenty of choice. Even kids choice of food, which isn’t common for Indian takeaway. Def recommend!!!

Mmmm, ordered 2 main chicken tikkas, [plus extras], when opened found that each carton had more onions in than chicken!!! didn't order onions!! by the time these were removed, what we had was 2 chicken tikka starters!!! tasty, but not what I ordered..Poor delivery guy also had problems with address, do they not use sat nav? so was less than warm on arrival!!!

We love this Indians it’s lovely and food is always spot on for the amount you pay you get loads we can’t complain!!

Dilshad Tandoori is a very reasonable meal, it's chicken Dansank was full of taste with a nice kick with the spices, would highly recommend.

El personal es muy amable en un moderno establecimiento de estilo moderno para llevar. Realmente sabrosa auténtica exactamente cómo lo pides. Gran variedad de menú y buena "especiales" ofrece en diferentes ocasiones durante la semana. Hindú para llevar es uno de nuestros placeres culpables y nunca he sido decepcionado. El único inconveniente es. . Dar mucho tiempo (agregar 10 minutos a su tiempo), pero al menos significa que la comida es siempre fresca y caliente cuando llegue.

Nos gusta nuestra comida india. Hemos probado muchos llevar. Este tiene que ser uno de los mejores. La comida increíble. Fresca, sabrosa, abundante. Muy sabrosa. Así que nos pareció que tenía que tocar ellos y decir lo mucho que habíamos disfrutado. Sin duda pedir toda nuestra comida india de aquí a partir de ahora. Fantástico. Gracias. One of the best take aways I've ever had and fortunately for me it's just across the road! Lol. The lamb korma is beautiful and the prices are more than reasonable!

Me and her indoors had a takeaway from here on 11/03/17 which was the Tiffin mixed (thali style)which was plentiful and reasonably priced at £12.50 we changed the plain pilau to keema pilau 50p to change the meal it's self was very good and filling the problem was the onion bhajis we purchased separate from the main meal well man they were awful over cooked dry and if the were dropped on a tiled floor they would have cracked them as they were that hard I would have rated this takeaway better if the Bhajis had been better Think the cook should take more care

He usado este indios durante muchos años, la comida es siempre caliente, gustos fresco y siempre está lleno de sabor. Nunca he tenido una mala experiencia y no ir a ningún otro sitio, el personal es muy acogedor si buscas un lugar agradable para conseguir un uso para llevar este personalmente recomiendo

He tenido las comidas de este lugar desde 2011 y cuando me fue presentada por primera vez que yo era escéptico en lo que me dijeron que, como con la mayoría de los lugares cuando son términos exagerados en cierta medida.

We occasionally get a meal from here on a Sunday evening, starter - main - rice - nann and a side all for £10.50 can't be bad.

I've used dilshad for years and it is the nicest Indian takeaway by far! Never had a poor meal yet. Happy nights is my favourite night of the week, would definitely recommend!

Love the Dilshad, great food, great offers, friendly service, have had 3 home deliveries from here now and cant wait til we order again :)
