Food always excellent and the delivery drivers are pleasant and honest and speedy. Highly recommended.

Really thought food was poor. Will not go again. Poor quality meat and chef showed no finesse.

I have always found Spice Delight to be very good and for me haven't had any issues. However, be warned their currys are on the hot side which I prefer, so ask for it with less heat if you wish. 👍

I have usually given this place great reviews (on Just Eat etc, for it's take aways), despite the Madras being just a bit too hot. Hotter than most places make it. However the quality of the chicken went noticeably downhill, and I started getting Lamb, Beef or Tikka. Then I had an item missing, a nan bread (which was quickly delivered by the excellent driver), then I had 2x Poppadoms missing, for which I was refunded by Just Eat, then on New Years Eve, the Madras was the hottest curry I've ever had, way too hot, almost inedible. Then the most recent problem, another Nan missing. It took ages to be delivered, by which time I'd eaten my curry, as it wasn't very hot when it arrived. Also, I ordered it for 9:15, which was confirmed. Then I had a email saying it was due at 10:15. . then it was delivered at 9:15! So clearly the food can often be very nice, but mistakes are being made.

Everything was cold, the single prawn was practically still swimming, spicy chips were awful. It went straight in the bin, wouldn’t even give it to my dogs. I won’t be back.

Excellent meal however their curries are hotter than other takeaways I've been to, but still very good 👍

Delivered really late. Food was cold and dry. Worst food ever ordered from an Indians. Never order again. Spoke to person on the phone and made excuses but would not give me a discount/refund for bad service. Not happy

Never had a bad experience with this Indian take away. My favourite take away and has been for the past 3 years. Fast delivery service and at an affordable price.

Ordered from here a number of times, on this occassion i ordered for a 6pm pick up but had to change the time last minute to 6.30, not a problem and the meal, a starter and main with chapattis and poppadoms was ready for pick up, piping hot and great tasting. Still can't fault the quality of food and service atthis place. (not that I would want to!)

My favourite Indian Takeaway in Prudhoe! Very friendly staff and amazing food! They even have deals if you order online, which is mostly how we order.

Went here and ordered through the menu on the desk and was then told prices were all wrong. I pointed out that legally they must accept the price on offer. She said ok. Next a male came in from kitchen and asked for payment and when I asked for itemised bill he wanted paying for the high price. I pointed out that his female colleague had agreed a price from menu. He then removed all menus from desk and said the price had gone up! I disagreed and he then said he would I pay the lower price. He added that he couldny be bothered with me and asked for money again. I told him he was a rude man and I would report him but he replied he didnt care. What an attitude at a time when firms are supposed to be struggling. If you would like to take your meal away with a smile on your face then do not go here. What a fool.

Very friendly , polite and respectful staff work here. A family run affair I believe. I never have had any issues with the staff only good chat and happiness. The food is great. I know what they cook great as I have had so many meals from here......so I stick to what I know best. I have to say the portions are great, the vindaloo is the best in Prudhoe which is saying a lot from me. The prices are so reasonable also which is a boon nowadays. I can recommend here as i am sure if you try it you will like it.

After having ordered numerous items from the menu the order arrived and one of the items had leaked into the brown paper bag it was delivered in and the contents spilled all over the kitchen cupboards and floor. Having help from my dog to clean up the mess I phoned Spice Delight to tell them of the disaster that had happened and no fuss or questions they asked me how they could remedy the situation, a replacement meal was sent a.s.a.p. 1st class response and the food was excellent as well. We'll done.

Takeaway for 3 people. Eaten and thoroughly enjoyed. Recommend.

If you want brown curry powder soup with a few bit of meat floarting in it this place is NOT for you. It is an example of excellent Bangladeshi ex-pat food. The dishes are packed with beautifully cooked meat and vegetables and interesting spice mixes, and any other local suppliers seem a little bland in comparison. The sundries always appear freshly prepared and appetising. Portion sizes are generous and the ingredients seem fresh and good quality. I have been using this place since the West Wylam Tadoori closed and have never regretted the move. Staff are friendly and professional. Also a reasonable price for the quality / quantity.

I have used Spice Delight for years but recently they took my order for delivery to Ovingham. I got a call an hour later to say they could not bring it as the bridge was closed and ask me to make my way to the prudhoe side of the bridge. I was not happy but agreed to do this. As I approached the bridge they rang me back to say they had not set of yet and they would ring me again. I was angry at this as they took a delivery order and could have reached Ovingham via Wylam then wasted my time sending me out to collect. I told them to forget it and give me my money back as I had ordered via the new app. They hung up. Once back home I got a third call to say they were waiting for me at the bridge. As you can imagine at this point I was disbelief at how bad this service was so told them again to cancel and give me my money back. I then rang the shop who were dismissive and said it was not there fault the bridge was closed. So they took the order and my money and wasted my time. Over a week later they have not given my money back and I will never use them ever again. Avoid poor service and no refund if you use the app.

Arrived quickly and was warm enough but oh my god so bland! First time I've had to add seasoning to a takeaway. Mushroom pilau was okay

Staff very polite. Shop was clean. We ordered lots of food and everyone enjoyed it. Only complaint was the spicy chips. To hot to eat. Price was very reasonable. Well worth a visit.

I ordered a lamb curry, chips and nan bread and when i came to put it on the plate i thought i had been given the wrong order as it looked nothing like i normally get from other Indian takeaways. The chips were the worst ive ever had, they didnt seem freshly cooked, as if they had been warmed in a microwave, I cant begin to explain how bad the curry was, everything went in the bin...It was maybe a year ago i tried this place and it was shocking but never thought it would still be as bad... Save your money and avoid.

I’ve been eating takeaways for decades, and I can say this is the worst, yes definitely the worst food I’ve ever had from a takeaway. Ironic name as there was absolutely definitely no spice at all in their food. The lamb tikka starter was so difficult to eat I gave it to my dog, guess what she didn’t eat it. Prawn puri, no flavour at all in the prawns and the puri was stale and impossible to eat. Tikka masala was just red sugar sauce, no flavour whatsoever apart from sugar in the bright red sauce. Pasanda was the same a sweet no spice sauce. Awful awful awful. The nan was stale, I’ve never ever had a stale nan ever. To sum up, even if your starving do not use this takeaway, it is without a doubt the worst I have ever had. You’ve been warned.

This is the worst indian food I’ve ever had most of it went in the bin. All the order was cold when it arrived but it did arrive on time?! So we had to reheat it all then when we started to eat it the popadoms were soggy the curry’s were tasteless and chips awful. When my partner called up to complain we were told next time we order we would be looked after “ No Thanks”

I got the 7 course vegetable Thali which is £9.95. Couldn’t believe how much food you got for that price and it was so very tasty. Delivered promptly and with a smile. I will definitely be ordering again.

Curries tasteless, chicken pakoras had no taste whatsoever, chicken kebab swimming in grease, 3 of us ill the next day. Avoid at all costs the food from this place is disgusting.

best value for money, piping hot, lovely food, on time (friday evening) .Tried most indian takeaways and i'm staying with spice delight, enjoyed their food every time and have done for years. vgood hygiene rating i noticed aswel.

food is always good but order it about 90 mins before you actually want to eat as delivery takes forever and they always add extra time on to it

decided to order a delivery as couldn’t collect , the service and taste is usually fantastic but the driver was nearly 30 mins late after the delivery time had already been extended by 25 minutes , when my food arrived the contents stunk of cigarette smoke and were luke warm , tasted ok but not ideal eating something when it’s nearly cold for food safety

bit disappointed. ordered tandoori mixed grill was tasteless. really lacked flavour . and I've had many from takeaways. can't knock portion size though . 6 out of 10 . so! so!

Fantastic food, only issue was I'd asked for someone to ring me when outside rather than ring the bell or knock as I didn't want to wake the baby. However the driver rang the bell twice, woke the baby and there was a delay in eating the food. Lovely meal when I eventually got it though!

DO NOT ORDER FROM SPICE DELIGHT when ordering i clicked collection 20 mins later i get a knock at the door from a very rude delivery man demanding his money, in which i had to pay a £2.50 delivery fee which i did not request. after opening my food i ordered a donna kebab with salad and garlic mayo, the salad was a few strands of limp lettuce with a drizzle of plain mayo im not impressed

Kebab left a lot to be desired was more like a fajita too many peppers and onions, not to our liking at all, the chicken was bland too wasn't seasoned and just tasted like the onions and peppers,not a great combination if I'm honest

Food was meant to come at 6.15 didn't come till 6.45 had no phone call to say they would be late, the food was stone cold and had leaked all over the bag which has stained my kitchen bench.. I won't be ordering from you's again!

Ordered a 12 inch bolognese. Ended up getting some some of weird pink keema stuff. The other pizza we ordered have very little flavour.

Only had 6 tandoori king prawns in a main meal that's 2 starter meal portion for more money also veg curry for biryani very water over cooked n salty very disappointed tonight doubtful if we'd go back which is sad as never had any problems before always been good on previous meals
