The best restaurants serving Indian food in Spitalfields and Banglatown Tower Hamlets London

Last time I can here I gave five stars, the restaurant must be one of the best in Brick Lane and even with so much competition of approx 23 other Indian restaurants in a small area, jaipul was packed out. The restaurant is clean and the food is great, but on this occasion I asked the waiter for no coriander on my food nor in my food, I knew he wrote my order on the note pad, but told him again “please no coriander” as he didn’t write it down! He nodded and was friendly but still he didn’t write it down! At that point I actually said can you please write that down, but he walked off, he was distracted by another party arriving and helped to clear a table so that they could be seated, so he didn’t go directly to the kitchen…. Guess what my food had coriander in it and on it. Easy to locate, great food, reasonable prices!

I can only give this a four star rating because it was so Rowdy and Rammed - but then again, what do you expect on a Friday night in Brick Lane!? Anyway the food was good and the ambience was at least friendly and the waiters did their best under the very overcrowded circumstances. My top tip would be to give it a go midweek!

Food was very expensive and was just pk tasting. It was our most expensive and least satisfying meal in our 1 week stay in London.

Regularmente ofrecen descuentos con la aplicación CityMunch, por lo que si está dispuesto a almorzar un poco más tarde de lo normal, puede obtener hasta un 40% de descuento, lo que lo hace extremadamente asequible. Visité este pop up restaurante indio en dos ocasiones; 8 y 15 de marzo. Ambas noches proporciona una excelente comida con un servicio excelente. Altamente recomendado.

8 nos presentamos y que fue muy bueno para nosotros. teníamos papadoms y entrantes y plato principal con arroz y pan nun boona. La carne era para morirse. La factura era de 225 libras. . Valió la pena, y definitivamente volveremos everymonth. ronnie fue un gran anfitrión y todo el resto del personal.

This was my first visit to Brick Lane and I was really looking forward to having a quality authentic curry ... I was severely disappointed with Standard Balti House... I went with my brother & his wife ..... The starter was ok, but the main Chicken Korma with Aloo Gobi was barely warm when it arrived ... Besides that the chicken in the Korma was not seasoned at all and it looked like chunks of chicken had been put into a Korma sauce ... Very little taste to the curry at all .. I had to ask for the waiter to take the dishes back to heat them up ....I would not recommend this restaurant ...

Overall an excellent experience and was very well looked after by Abdul. The food was pretty good and so was the service. Family-friendly place and a nice atmosphere. They even gave us a complimentary Bailey's after our dinner. We'll visit again.

The best curry I have ever had. Staff were amazing! Food was amazing! And owner was a world class host many could learn from. Such a great evening I wish never ended. Thank you so much. Will be back again next time im in London and would highly recommend just skipping the others...dont waste your time. Go here!?

There are 3 Gunpowder locations in London. I went to the one in Spitalfields. It’s a very small restaurant that serves delicious takes on Indian food. Everything is creative and mouthwatering. I had the absolutely delicious kale salad - the kale is crispy! And the leaf wrapped fish with a creamy mustard sauce - very moist and tasty. From my reservation, they knew my birthday was approaching so I also got a dessert with a birthday candle - very thoughtful! The waitpersons and staff were extremely friendly and helpful. London is known for good Indian food, Gunpowder really stands out as a great example.
