Super kind staff and great food

I went into this over priced restaurant today. It was full of white people. We had to wait to be approached and called over a waiter to get a table. When we did the waiter said there were no tables for two people so we pointed to 2 empty tables but he said it was too cold to sit there but we told him it was okay but he insisted that we didn’t so we asked if there was any tables in the back which he replied so we asked are you sure and he said you can go look if you want which I found rude. So I decided to walk out mentioned that the way he was speaking to be was condescending and rude. we then walked back down 5 minutes later and saw that the two tables that were empty and he didn’t let us sit at had a table of white people on both. So yes if you want to go to the most over priced rude restaurant on brick lane that only let you eat here if your skin is white then this is the place for you.

Every dish extremely flavoursome, warm atmosphere and super service from Ace.

We had a delicious meal at Masala. Because not everyone eats meat, we looked to see if that was possible here and they had an extensive variety of vegetarian dishes. Upon arrival it was much larger than we thought, the restaurant runs very far back and there is a second floor. The staff were friendly and helpful. After we ordered, the food was served quickly. The restaurant is within walking distance of our hotel which was very easy. The restaurant is easy to book via TheFork and they accept Yums.

Ace is the life and party of this place. A true gem. Food amazing & great service. Big fan

Achari Ghost. Having gone to curry houses all my life, this dish with pickles (similar to lime pickle chutney) was a revelation. Utterly exceptional. Great keema naan. Go here!

Was browsing through the Indian restaurant section on Google and came across Masala in Brick Lane.. menu looked nice so I decided to go there for a meal. I ordered a chicken tikka jalfrezi with pilaf rice and a garlic naan bread. The order took 40 mins after ordering.. was just in time.. the food was so tasty I had to leave a review.. normally I don't bother with reviews but made an exception for Masala. Thank you guys will come again for sure. ❣️😊❣️

My friends and families favourite Indian on the lane. When I visited last week the staff made us feel welcome and looked after us throughout the evening. I would highly recommend this restaurant as a must visit to try the chicken jalfrazy. Come and try there food Thank you guys.

Restaurant accomodated last minute booking. Also they customized the food to high spicy level and they are quite honest. Abdul server was really great in handling the overall experience even though he was managing whole upper floor.

The food was fresh but not particularly tasty. The service was non-existent, and the staff were not very pleasant or welcoming.

Very noisy restaurant, you can't hear yourself at all and the staff prefers to serve groups rather than a table of two. Too bad because the food is pretty good.

We had the Calcutta Rezala and the Biryani Tikka, with naan and paratha. Everything was super delicious! The Rezala was the perfect amount of spicy. The hype guy outside promised us a free beer if we ate here, which he duly honoured!

I went to this Restaurant on a Tuesday night at 5:30 in the evening. I pre-booked and they were expecting us. We were seated down quite quickly and made to feel very welcome, nothing was too much trouble. We made our orders and the meals were provided relatively quickly. The food was great with generous portions and good flavour combinations. During the meal the restaurant filled up quickly and it was heaving by 6pm. Make sure book otherwise you may not get a space. We were not rushed and we shook hands with the staff upon departing, it all felt nice and traditional. I have been to Brick Lane before for meals out and I have always been disappointed with quality, prices and service. In my Opinion the Masala is the best for the curry, atmosphere and staff friendliness in Brick Lane and I will definitely go again. Well Done.

Very busy when I got there, which was a good sign! I got a lamb gohst, pilau rice and Bombay potatoes. All absolutely delicious! Barry was my waiter, very efficient and friendly. Will return when I’m back round these parts! 🙂

1st of all, when you are from different country why will you other country name as cousins, this restaurant is clearly not a Indian restaurant, it's bloody Bangladeshi restaurant, why Pakistan & Bangladesh uses India name I don't understand, keep your country name please, why confuse customers, anyway I also didn't like the food, it was pathetic

Very bad oily food try and go somewhere else for good Indian food. It would be better to try somewhere else. Chana masala was bland and paneer was rubbery. Maybe non veg options are good but a complete no for vegetarians

Overall an excellent experience and was very well looked after by Abdul. The food was pretty good and so was the service. Family-friendly place and a nice atmosphere. They even gave us a complimentary Bailey's after our dinner. We'll visit again.

Went there for a family party at lunch time, the food was amazing and the staff were very friendly. Service from all the staff was excellent and they were patient throughout the party and didn't rush us out even though they only had less time to clean up and prepare for another party in the evening. Attended today for a graduation party. We had a blast. The food was 10/10. Had a variety of options. Service was great aswell. They attended all our needs and we're very polite and attentive. All the staff were welcoming and helpful. The restaurant was clean and decor was nice. Toilets were clean too If you're looking to have a party, this place will not disappoint you. Gave us plenty of time to set up as well as pack everything away. Didn't rush us. The kids enjoyed the day and so did we. We had some tea towards the end before we left. Not our first visit. We've been to Masala a few times now. For meals as well as parties. Defo recommend this place for parties and meals. Honestly a star restaurant. We will be back 😁

I can cook this better at home. Mega small pieces of meat, boring in taste. Waiters argue like crazy. Can't understand the positive reviews.

My husband Kabir took me out to Masala for a romantic meal tonight. He's choice was fantastic as the food in Masala was excellent.. Murobbi gave us a complimentary round of mango lassi as it was our first time there they made us feel at home.. thank you Murobbi will see again very soon 😊❣️😊
