The Famous Curry Bazaar in Tower Hamlets

Based on the reviews here I had high hopes for the quality and taste of the food. However, it was very average and I really wouldn't bother again. On the plus side, the restaurant was one of the few on Brick Lane that didn't have someone outside hassling you to come inside. However, when the meal was over, the waiter was quite pushy in wanting us to leave a review of the restaurant, and promised us each a free drink if we did so.

Very overcooked and dry tandoori chicken. At the end of the meal they really pressured you to fill out a survey. Very pushy and rude.

I decided to try delivery from here, and it was a smooth experience and The delivery was on time. The Tawa Lamb was a standout—spicy and packed with flavour, and the Mango Chicken was a nice contrast, sweet yet still flavourful. The rice was fluffy, and the naan was fresh. The price felt reasonable given the quality and portion size. Will definitely be ordering again!

Decided to give this place a try for collection, and I was really pleased. The food was ready on time, and the staff were super helpful. The Lamb Jeera was a great dish, with tender lamb and a nice mix of spices. The Tawa Chicken was full of flavour, with a nice bit of heat. A lovely takeaway experience overall.

This restaurant advertises as dog friendly and is not. Contacted them re booking and they say they are dog friendly but some diners don’t like it and won’t pay if a dog in the restaurant so won’t take our booking !

Went there for dinner and ordered the lamb curry with lemon rice. The rice was amazing. The curry tasted ok but not spectacular, plus the portion was definitely on the smaller side if you are from the state (especially for the price they charged). Service was quite meh.

Mabz a liverpool fan is the best host ever. Great indian at 1am. Recommend for great meal deal on a Saturday night!

The whole team were very hospitable, friendly and approachable. Food was great and they gave us a free shot and chocolates to take home. A lovely late night place to unwind x

This was a very pleasant dinner. The food was flavorful. The chicken masala and the butter chicken was more on the sweeter side for me, but that's just my preference. The prices are very affordable.

Saturday lunch 1pm. My son and I were the only ones there for almost 45 minutes. Sylhet chicken was tough, pilaw rice just OK. Popadoms were good , pickles loaded with artificial colour and were too sweet . Garlic nans were great! Sag aloo was missing some spice as was the bindi bhaji. Overall this time very disappointing despite that I had my best Indian meal there in November 2018 .

Mabz created a fun environment, and helped me pick the most delicious lamb dish. This is the spot if you want delicious food, and good vibes.

First and foremost Mabz provided a service which was above reproach. The food was prepared with 5 star quality. The flavors, texture and presentation hit all the tastebuds in all the right places. I honestly might be pregnant. If you’re considering a bite anywhere else in town, I recommend you cancel that idea and get yourself right over. You’re welcome in advance. I’m absolutely serious.

An impressive display or culinary expertise. The service was exceptional as was the rest of the staff. the food was delightfully LIT. Gentlemen and Scholars have filled my stomach with wondefully delightful yumminess. BYOB, yumster, heck yes, big ups to the mandem.

Pretty good though honestly the food didn't have as much flavour as other places along brick lane. I asked for the bill 3 times and they kept not bringing it to me and then forced me to make this review before giving me the bill so I can pay and leave which does really put a bit of a sour taste in my mouth to be honest .

Average food and inattentive service. Waited for an hour for our food to arrive despite there only being 1 other couple in the restaurant. The food when it did come out was average at best. The meat was all very tough.

The food was very disappointing and overpriced : dry and tasteless king prawns with rice : £ 22,90. According to the waiter, are dry prawns normal when you order “king prawns in a light blend of yoghurt sauce, grilled in the tandoori.” The toilets were extremely dirty. Never again. “The best curry on Brick Lane”—what a joke.

An experience! Was asked to come in and lured in with a good price, and they delivered. Rolled out of there, full of food and fab service from Mabz.

There was a lot that went wrong here. In short: We got lured in with free beer, got told later it is on the condition everyone orders a main course. Beer was way overpriced. Service was terrible, waiters very pushy. Toilets very dirty. Long story: There was someone waiting in front of the restaurant, who started a conversation with us, promising free beer inside the restaurant. As we already ate before, we thought we could go in for a small snack. After entering, we were guided to a table and the beer was brought to the table almost immediately. We could here it was canned beer they put in our glasses. After discussing the menu and almost all of us ordering at least an appetizer, we had to wait quite a long time for the food to be prepared. At any given time there were three to four waiters just standing around (We were the only four people in the entire restaurant). Those waiters were very pushy, always picking up the almost empty glasses or plates, wanting us to order more, but we kept refusing. After all, the service was not very good, one of them even touched our food with bare hands, and we paid roughly 68 pounds for 1 main course, 1 appetizer and 4 beers. The food was okay, but not at all worth the high prices. And 6.90 for a canned beer 0,4l is just unacceptable. A quick journey to the toilets in the basement was also not very pleasant, they were very dirty, and didn’t look well taken care of. They just lie to lure you into their restaurant.
