Dishoom Canary Wharf in Tower Hamlets

Service was really good. Staff were super friendly, very attentive and everything came a lot faster than expected. Food was actually really nice as well. Prices were not unreasonable. There's a decent selection of dishes, with vegetarian dishes too. Cocktails were amazing. Some really refreshing flavours, all with an Asian twist. I only had vitgin cocktails but still, highly recommended. Restaurant had a vibrant atmosphere and the decor was nice. Good for a large group or a more intimate date. Now parking in Canary wharf is terrible! But there are car parks no too far. Not cheap, but unless you're getting an Uber or taking the tube, what choice do you have.

Very nice Indian. Tender meat, lovely rich sauce, cooked well and served quickly When the bill arrived, we had a QR code so each person in our party could see what they ordered and pay accordingly. Neat. Would definitely visit again

Food was full of flavour and very tasty. lamb samosas were not the best to be honest but everything else was 10/10 we had Chicken ruby and chicken biryani with naan bread and cucumber yogurt (that was really good) We have enjoyed our visit, the lady who was serving us she explained the whole menu to us which was really nice as that was our first visit at Dishoom

It used to be nice. But somehow the curry here becomes just like tomato soup. Doesn’t matter which curry you go for and it all tastes like supermarket tomato soup.

The food is simply one of the best I have tasted and that is no exaggeration. lovely sized portions, so much variety. wasn't too spicy either. I can't say enough for the food service and location. The atmosphere was buzzing. The one this that I would suggest is at the end of the service when getting the bill is some hot towels with an infusion of lemon, that would really be the icing to an exemplary service and dining experience. Fantastic place to eat, with an inspired food and drinks menu

1st time I've visited this restaurant. I must say I was very impressed. Food was very good. I had the mutton with steamed basmati rice,plain nan bread. All very tasty and potions are generous, which is good. The staff were friendly. This could be just my perception but.. The one criticism I will add, they seem to move you on fairly quickly. Not sure how long the table time was for because I never asked. But there was a feeling of being slightly rushed. That was a minor issue but I have to be truthful in my review.

Excellent and quality food. We fully enjoyed our dinner experience. If you like pickles, definitely ask for the pickled carrots as they don’t charge anything extra for it. Overall everything was great.

The food here is good as with all Dishooms. The only thing letting the Canary Wharf site down is the service whichbis not up to the standards of the other London locations. Service is slow (one of my dishes came out when the rest of our party had finished eating all of their dishes), dishes go the wrong tables and communication between staff is poor. Good food though portions are getting smaller!

Flavourful dishes and friendly staff

Always love a visit to Dishoom. This however was my first ever breakfast in one. Very chilled and relaxed atmosphere, with a large selection of food choices, and unhurried service. Although my chocolate chai latte appeared in a smallish glass, I was informed later by our waitress that I could have unlimited refills. My only slight criticism was that although the food was sufficiently spicy in taste, it was only served luke-warm - however I would love to return and try something else from the menu.

Firstly, would like to say a huge thank you to Nafissa for the wonderful, helpful and smiley service! Absolutely LOVE Dishoom Canary Wharf, it's the second time I've been here. Have to say the Breakfast is wonderful. Kejriwal and big bombay is a must try! Will definitely be coming back!

I'm not a Dishoom fan, as I find them to be overhyped and overpriced for what they offer. But as it's where a lot of Londoners go to find Indian food, it is often the go-to-place for visitors to London. I recently returned to the Canary Wharf branch to have breakfast with a visiting friend. We had the Wrestler's Naan (which was super unwieldy and hard to eat), the Chole Puri Halwa (chole were over-spiced and therefore overwhelming, the puri was not exactly what a breakfast puri is supposed to be like, but the halwa was nice), Side Beans (over-spiced too). I had Masala Chai (and was genuinely impressed that it was bottomless and kept filled by the staff) and Breakfast Assam Tea. Our waiter Ishu was excellent, so big points for that. But I'm still not convinced by the flavours and food offered by this restaurant.

We passed by Dishoom Canary Wharf last Saturday and decided to have a quick lunch there because my 2 years old little one was very hungry. Members of staff were very friendly and food was very delicious. My little one enjoyed the chicken and crackers very much. We loved the chicken ruby and Canary Wharf special we ordered too.

Went for my other half’s birthday, and just want to say that the staff were absolutely outstanding. Service was top notch 10/10 and made her feel very special on her day. I went to Dishoom with my friend and went over to the bar where this chap called Mayank served me. At first I didn’t know what to order so I asked for his recommendation and he told me the most popular one at the moment is the whiskey sour, which wasn’t too strong but not too soft either. Overall amazing experience and 10/10 would recommend.👍

I was a regular at Dishoom Canary Wharf but observed that the staff wasn’t happy to host me since I asked not to add honey on my granola bowl or simply “please make my coffee extra hot”. Still, I continued visiting the place as it’s near my apartment but saw that their dislike over my ‘fuss’ escalated to the point where they added salt in my yoghurt bowl. That, I considered was the final nail in coffin for average, high priced food with noisy ruckus and hype around this place. I find all cafes cater to vegan food so if a person doesn’t want honey due to prediabetes is that a fuss or something to humiliate them on? Just becoz being prediabetic isn’t chic…or asking for a hot coffee as blasphemy….

Decided to go here on a whim as we were local. Staff were super friendly. Service was very good. The only thing that let it down, Was the food. Super average! Had a chicken ruby and a biryani dish. Only thing we enjoyed were the sodas.

From the moment we arrived, the service was outstanding. Greg, our server, went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. As I was fasting, he made sure our food was ordered and served on time for breaking my fast, and the food itself was hot and delicious. I was also incredibly grateful that a space was kindly facilitated for me to pray — a thoughtful gesture that made the experience even more special. The ambience was wonderful, and the care and attention we received made the evening memorable. Huge thanks to Greg and the entire team at Canary Wharf for providing such a warm and seamless experience.

This restaurant which is not Muslim Owned promotes, celebrates and makes a big fuss over Ramadan, Iftar & Eid for their Muslim customers every year. Putting together a special menu. Continuous social media posts for 5/6 weeks. This weekend it’s Vaisakhi which Sikhs celebrate worldwide. Dishoom has thousands of Sikh customers in their restaurants nationwide. They have not put up one post to make us feel like we are part of their family. Not one special menu created for us Sikhs just like Muslims are inundated with Dishoom Halal love! Even on Diwali and Holi they make little fuss as to them we are minority religions. Sikhs & Hindus should not support an Indian owned restaurant that only caters for Muslims with a strict Halal Menu that only celebrates Eid! This will be highlighted all over social media to make people realise you do not treat every religion the same!

As vegetarians, we were a bit unsure about what to order, but she confidently recommended the jackfruit biryani—and it turned out to be absolutely delicious! The place is lively and it mostly full so you might have to wait for 10-15 mins in the queue but it was totally worth it

I went to Dishoom Canary Wharf with a friend prior to going to the Abba Arena. What a great experience from the meet and greet people at the front to the very knowledgeable and friendly waiting staff. Nothing was too much trouble and their knowledge+ guidance through the menu helped make the experience wonderful. I had the mutton pepper style dish and it was so soft and the sauce was flavourful and spicy but not too much that you can't taste the food. The rice was so fluffy and light. My friend and me both agreed that you can have a few courses with a few drinks and feel bloated. Not at Dishoom! Loved the experience and will definitely be going back when I'm in Canary Wharf. I have heard the breakfast is worth trying.

Great staff , great food , super service !!! I like the fact that everybody dressed how they want so they can express themselves. I had an incredible dining experience at Dishoom with my friend, thanks to our amazing waitress, Nafissa! From the moment we were seated until we left, she made us feel so welcome and well taken care of. She helped us choose our dishes, and every recommendation was spot on. The food at Dishoom was absolutely delicious! We ordered the chicken tikka and fish curry with greens on the side—everything was perfectly balanced, flavorful, and not too heavy. My friend also ordered a chai, and to our delight, Nafissa kindly brought a second one on the house! If you’re ever in Canary Wharf and looking for a fantastic place to eat, I highly recommend Dishoom. Great food, wonderful service, and an unforgettable experience!

I have always enjoyed Dishoom’s hospitality across London, but my recent visit to the Canary Wharf branch was disappointing due to the behavior of one front desk staff member (the lady with the mic on the right side). While the rest of the team was polite, professional, and apologetic, this particular woman was shockingly rude and aggressive. I was fasting and simply wanted to ask for water to break my fast. However, before I could even speak, she assumed I was asking to be seated(despite my already waiting 40 minutes, which I fully understood as restaurant policy). Instead of listening or assisting me, she repeatedly cut me off, dismissively telling me I had to wait for my table, even though I wasn’t even asking about that. Her condescending attitude and refusal to acknowledge my request made the situation unnecessarily frustrating. When I asked her to (listen to me)!, she went as far as calling me RUDE, all because I was simply trying to ask ( where I could get a glass of tap water)!!! The other front desk lady next to her, was kind and professional, and assisted me immediately. This was an incredibly upsetting and disappointing experience, especially during Ramadan, in a restaurant that prides itself on warmth and inclusivity. No guest should ever be treated this way. I sincerely hope Dishoom takes this feedback seriously and ensures all front desk staff uphold the same high standards of respect and professionalism

The atmosphere and the ambiance are smacking with the touch of Indian culture, but we went there for the food hearing many excellent stories from our friends but it was not to that mark as the flavour was not that great and could be very good, i do understand it is customised to the pallet of the local people but still they could have gone a step ahead to make the food more flavourful Chicken berry biryani was mediocre Lamb chops were great Amritsari fish was best Murgh malai was a good combination for the rumali roti And the mango lassi was the best in all the things we ordered Chili chicken was no flavour

We had an amazing experience at Dishoom Canary Wharf. We were served by the amazing Ollie. He was absolutely the sweetest and kindest soul and such great energy and good vibes! The Akuri was Beyond amazing and would def come back for that over and over and the bun maska was just such a delight with the delicious chai! We would def. Be coming back and having more delicious breakfast and dinners here and we would def. Like to see Ollie again!!!
