The best restaurants serving Indian food in Kingston upon Thames London

This was a lovely restaurant we found on the Internet that was close by to where we were staying at Chessington. We went on Banquet Night. This was a very reasonable price with popadoms, a starter each, a main, side and rice or naan each. The food was lovely and the service and attention we received was great. There was a lovely touch with dry ice on the table as we were waiting. If I lived near here I’d come back again.

We used to use this restaurant quite frequently. It then changed hands and the new place was a disaster. New Raj came back and the food was very good but now seems to be shut again! (17/04/2019) I do hope that it is only shut for refurb!

Visited this evening for dinner with old friends. The food was phenomenal. Maybe the best curry, the staff were patient, attentive and offered recommendations. The manager Vinnie was welcoming and friendly. Thank you for the great evening! Will be returning!

Quite simply the very best Indian meal I have ever eaten

First visited this restaurant in February 2025 and was impressed by the delicious, well presented dishes made with fresh ingredients well balanced spices. Since then a big fan of the dosa company. Recommended to my colleagues bought them with me too they loved the food . The staff provided exceptional service, specially Shiva, sai and jessy . Overall sai give very professional service being attentive, friendly and accommodating . The dosa was to die for and filter coffee was 😋😋. Overall highly recommended to everyone who is looking for an authentic South Indian food in SW London. Will always visit whenever around Surbiton or Tolworth. Thank you

Lovely Indian food, everyone really loved the curry they chose we had Rohan Josh with lamb, chicken tikka and chicken korma. Garlic Naan and onion bajis were fantastic! Highly recommend, best Indian around New Malden. Mango lassi also delicious!

He left my food in the wrong building ! So I never received it

Unfortunately, Sarada is permanently closed. After many years with a chequered history, it is no longer. Be interesting to see what goes in there instead. Now frequenting Agra.

Ordered delivery for first time - think I am a Indian connoisseur (😂😂😂) ie have experience of high end Indian (eg Delhi , Mayfair and Dubai) This was a fabulous lunch - a delivery !!! All 10/10 tikka/dhaba etc - truly spectacular - now need to go there as if it’s this good with a 2km delivery journey then how good would the tikka be straight to the table Burst the bubble a little - poppadom basket not my style To the owners : great job, will be there on site soon !!

Was later than original stated, but on time once adjusted

The food came in 26 minutes from order to arriving. Worryingly fast considering the restaurant is more than 10 minutes from my home. We have dined in a couple of years ago but the the cold food we've received tonight is an ocean apart. The daal had a weird taste which we didn't eat, was incredibly salty and my partner Pakistani origin and myself as a chef did not recognise the taste and it tastes nothing likes a daal makhani should (cold) the butter chicken was also tepid and was microwaved because the chicken was chewy overcooked and the sauce was room temp. The samosa chatt was not fresh it came mushy and sloppy. The pain puri came without any chutney or yoghurt and a very small pot of aloo. Very very disappointed considering the price this was supposed to be a treat not a microwave meal that a restaurant can't heat up fully. This has gone from a restaurant I would recommend to a place I will never eat in again. I never leave bad reviews but spending nearly £50 to have a microwaved terrible meal has made me angry.

I completely love this place so much. Prithi down the road is far inferior. Their curries are watery, flavourless, and their naan was soggy like moss near a lake. Agra uses delicious spices and aromas, which is nice and makes me happy like Christmas or buying discounted mayonnaise. The waiters' petite frames allow rapid nimble maneuvers, ensuring all tables are aptly catered for and orders are delivered promptly. The naga chill is hot and balanced and the rice yummy and scrumptious... always on point. The decor is quite breathtaking in some respects, with proper authentic curry house designs inside and out. Prices are highly competitive, so all in all, this place is hard to beat. If you live nearby, it's close to you which makes it easy to get to which is nice, like back scratches and waterproof plasters. 11/10 love it lots and lots ❤️

I had a delivery , the prawn dish had one and a half king prawns and a load of onions and there was not much meat in the chicken dish either. Bajis were nice, as were the poppadoms, the Nan I ordered didn't arrive Very overpriced, will not order again !

booked a table weeks ago, they called me to ask if I wanted to bring forward, I said no as its planned event, so they said see you in 2 weeks.... didn't bother to tell me it was closing! luckilly another restaurant could take the booking .
