Bindaas the Indian Kitchen in Kingston upon Thames

The food is very good. Really tasty & freshly cooked. The garlic chilli paneer & naan are exceptional. What's needed is a bit of finesse - the piped soft rock music is awful, the decor needs a rethink & a mint / chocolate at the end is an easy touch.

Amazing food and excellent service. Affordable pricing and highly recommend. Definitely will be back. I definitely recommend the curry dishes.

We’ve lived nearby for a few years, but this was our first time visiting. To my surprise, the food was amazing! The perfect level of spiciness combined with an incredible blend of flavors made every bite delightful. The dishes were not only delicious but also beautifully presented. The staff was friendly and attentive, enhancing our overall experience. This restaurant has quickly become a new favorite, and we’ll definitely be returning soon. If you’re looking for a place with outstanding food and a welcoming atmosphere, this is it! Highly recommended.

We celebrated our son’s 12th birthday at Bindaas Kingston last night. We chose this place because we have been here a couple of times and love the quality and taste of food served. The proportions are really good. A special shout out to the owner/chef Mr. Vinod who went out of the way to accommodate our special request to customise certain items which were out of their set menu. The staff who served us were also friendly and the hospitality was great. It was truly a special evening for my son. Thank you Bindaas 🙏🏻

Kind and very attentive staff. It was our first time in this nice restaurant and we had a lovely experience. Food was delicious, flavours were well balanced and not too overpowering served with nice presentation . Chef came to ask us if we were enjoying the food and it was very kind from him. Definitely we will be back .

We contacted Bindaas because we heard that they may allow small/medium sized dogs, and to our gratitude they were perfectly ok with us bringing our cockapoo. Our dog is very well behaved. Enough of that though, we were happily surprised that the food was outstanding. My wife's parents are from the Punjab so we can be a bit fussier than some when it comes to authenticity I suppose. We both had starters of fish goujons and classic Chilli paneer; both very well prepared and very tasty ... although watch out, when it says its chilli it is chilli, there is no catering there for more sensitive palettes with the hot stuff. However, flavours have been infused in every dish, mild or hot, you can tell great care has been taken throughout the meal. The paneer tasted home made according to my wife too. So we both had Lamb dishes, and with Pilau rice (cumin infused) and tandori roti with salad. Everything had loads of fragrance and depth of flavour. We finished with an almond cake in Kheer foam (a delicious end to the meal). The only down side which is not in their control (silly council putting in unused cycle lanes), and as a hint, for those worried about parking, we parked at the near by Norton station where RingGo can be used. Service was a bit green behind the ears, otherwise I would stretch to a full house. We will definitely go again, and the fact they accept well behaved dogs, is great.

Bindass never fails to impress us with the flavours, service and its management. It’s our local Indian place to go and enjoy the best authentic Indian based on our several experiences locally and world wide. Being a Middle Eastern origin we have tasted so many different Indian restaurants worldwide and Bindass stands out as one of the top ones we regularly visit … the different chicken curries, the Dal Makhani and the other dishes all scores high always. Vinod the owner is always welcoming and always makes the extra effort to look after us. Bindaas The Indian Kitchen is a hidden gem, clearly well known and loved by locals and regulars but worth a visit if you love Indian food. The flavours were rich yet fresh and delicious; a real feast. The staff were friendly and attentive too.

We came here for my 40th birthday last April and have been back repeatedly. The food is second to none. A real treat. I’d recommend Bindaas highly - the pani puri were a delight and every main we have had has been so flavourful. The hospitality is fantastic, the chef is so incredibly proud (as he should be) and really passion about what the team are creating. We have booked again for tonight and I’m already excited for the lamb cutlets - divine. We love the Indian next door also, but the menu hasn’t really changed so much in the 15 years we have lived in Kingston so Bindaas offers a refreshing change! Enjoy yourselves, it’s a delight! My only reluctance is putting this review online is our ability to get a reservation 😃

I had an absolutely delicious meal last weekend at Bindaas . The staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and helpful. They gave excellent advice on good vegetarian choices. They were very attentive to my dietary needs and were also very conscientious about checking the level of spice required in the meal. The meal itself was incredible, an explosion of delicate and spicy flavours, presented beautifully. For starters I had a Delhi Samosa Chaat which included Chickpea samosa, yogurt, chilli tamarind and mint chutney,it was the best samosa combination I have ever had ! I also tried the Chilli paneer and then had the Worli Baignan, an aubergine curry for mains, accompanied by garlic naan, which were equally delicious and flavoursome. It is the best indian food I have ever eaten! The menu has great vegetarian options in addition to their wider menu . Needless to say I was absolutely full after all of this, but next time I will be back to try some of the desserts! This restaurant is a fabulous gem of high quality Indian food tucked away from the main high street of Kingston. The chef owners made a point to chat to all their customers about their meals. They revealed they had recently opened this restaurant following years of working in high quality restaurants across London . It is completely worth the visit to check out their high quality dishes made with great care and attention to detail. If you would like a very high quality contemporary Indian meal at very reasonable prices, this restaurant is a fantastic find.

I've been to many, many Indian restaurants in my life, mainly in the U.K., but also in India, and this ranks with the best of them. I've never had a variety of poppadoms as we got here and with 2 of the 3 dips not being the usual ones. The lamb biryani was excellent, as was my son's chicken one and my wife raved about her tandoori lamb chops. The side dishes were great and the tandoori salmon for my 20 month old grandson was gobbled up the next day with relish. In fact we all were so taken with this restaurant that we are going back again tonight. This looks set to be my son's favourite.

Food was delicious. Meat was very tender and the take on some of the food was different to the average Indian restaurant. Service and ambiance in the restaurant was excellent. The restaurant is not that big but not over crowded and you can see the kitchen from it. Well worth a visit Only negatives were price of drinks, £8.25 for a bottle of Cobra (when you add on the tip) and the toilets, although clean could do with a refresh, e.g duct tap stuck around the mirror etc.

Tried take-away and were impressed so treated ourselves to dinner. Impressed by a nice range of vegetarian choices along with the meaty options on the menu. Standout dish was the lamb starter with Hyderabadi spices - total knockout: melt-in-the-mouth, spicy, smoky and aromatic. Every dish had a great complexity of spices and incredible depth of flavour. The truck driver's chicken was an intense chickeny experience, rather than the chicken just being a base to take up flavours. Vegetarian dishes were thoughtful and delicious and not just tacked on vegetable versions of meat dishes. There are some nice regional surprises on the menu, and everything we ate had its own distinctive personality. The cocktails are inventive and tasty too, and the staff warm and obliging. I really liked the idea of a seasonal menu as well. Will be back!

Grateful to my colleague for suggesting Bindaas. It’s very challenging to find authentic Indian flavours/ food especially when we go further away from London. And Bindaas offered what I was looking for- true, authentic Indian flavours, not inspired by! Every single dish starting with the Dahi Puri, Bombay Chilli Chicken, Paneer Kadhafi, and then Dhabha Murg, Chicken Boryani, all were full of flavour, perfectly balanced with heat and species and weren’t heavy on stomach. They do offer to adjust the spice level if you like. And the dessert - carrot cake with kulfi was amazing too! Not too sweet , warm cake with frozen kulfi- very flavourful! My wife and I shared our wonderful experience with the head Chef, Vinod who also happens to be the owner of the restaurant. The staff too was very friendly and served with a smile. Orders didn’t take long to come out of the kitchen. The restaurant is just 6 months old but they seem to have made a good clientele already and giving a good competition to a well established Indian restaurant next door. Living upto the name Bindaas which means carefree and daring! ;) I would highly recommend Bindaas to anyone who is looking to experience authentic and flavourful Indian food!

Simply wow. Totally different to any other Indian restaurant we've been to. The chef was so knowledgeable and helpful. Menu very carefully selected, nicely presented and tasted amazing. Will be back.

The food was so delicious and perfect match with the ingredients. I am basically vegetarian and the dal was so tasty never experienced in other restaurants. My friends are non-veg guys they took lamb cury and they all enjoyed. I would recommend everyone to enjoy the food here. I made my timetable to visit this restaurent on by weekly basis to enjoy food.

The food was excellent. Wonderful flavours and some very interesting combinations. We loved the Truckers curry and fish Tikka. The black dal was perfect along with great rice and beautiful Nan and Roti breads. It was our first visit and although not a dressy place, the staff were great and everything was clean. Great cocktails, especially the Bindaas Special!!

We went for dinner, the service began badly with very disengaged/uninterested server. The food in general was good but really not worth the high prices. The waiter/waitress served our mains, one dish she put on the table saying 'really not sure what this is!'!!! If you work in a high priced restaurant, surely you would find out about the food. The service created a very poor atmosphere, not friendly or welcoming and the two staff really didn't seem to want to be there. Overall we were very disappointed due to all the good reviews.

we had a takeaway from Bindaas yesterday, on the recommendation of a neighbour. We were completely blown away by the flavours of the food. Really really tasty and quite different from your 'normal' indian takeaway. we found it so full of flavour that we didn't even use chutneys as we normally do! delicious. We'll be back. PS the staff were really friendly land helpful, too.

So far I've only had deliveries, but I'm looking forward to going to the restaurant. Really fantastic punchy flavours & plenty of unusual choices for vegetarians & vegans.

Quaint place to hang out with friends. Great food and fantastic service. We were 10 of us and ordered quite a lot from the menu. The prices we reasonable and food delicious. The team running the show is new but very warm and welcoming. We were just looking to jung out with friends but this turned out to be a memorable experience. We shall return.
