It was busy and we didn't have reservation (they didn't accept bookings at the time for some reason), as a result we were sat the window which had a view of a lorry, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce (where I went for Chinese school) and the stage door to the Prince Edward. Not a great view for my friend who was visiting London though it then prompted me to tell her stories of my experiences in the area as a kid so it wasn't so bad. It was pretty noisy and the atmosphere a bit chaotic through out our meal, to be honest they could have turned the music down a little. I got the lamb kari with a normal dosa which was delicious. My friend ordered a chill cheese dosa and aubergine kari. The dosa was way too spicy for her... and the waitress was kind enough to give use another plain dosa free of charge so she could enjoy the meal when they checked in on us mid meal. I think the price for the food is reasonable for Soho. Honestly I am not sure get the Michelin rating as enjoyable as the meal was it wasn't anything to go out of the way to get... especially when there is a lot of good place to eat in the area.

The newly refurbished decor of Khan's is very understated, but don't let that fool you. The food is very good. Onion bhaji starter was crisp on the outside but a little stodgy on the inside, however the Dhahi Puri were excellent and a point of difference to many Indian restaurants. Our main course dishes were very good. Paneer tikka massalla, dum aloo Karahi gosht, pilau rice and nan were very good and better than the average Indian restaurant. The lamb curry - Karahi gosht was one of the best lamb dishes I've had in a long time!

One our favourite and classic informal Indian restaurants in London. We came as close as we could before the enforced closure. The guy on the door said there was powerful optimism that a proposal to recreate the business, its styles and flavours could be relocated and to keep an eye out. A month on and we’ve heard nothing specific yet.

We have now been to Amjadia twice and it hasn’t been busy either time but we can’t imagine why not. Ideally placed, great service and lovely food. Could recommend more. Love Indian food, just off Oxford St, visited Selfridges, this is the place for you.

A big shout out to the Ceo of Golden Shalimar alongside his staff who catered for us last night after we've been to the Derby County game. The service/food was absolutely outstanding 👏 & were even provided with complimentary drinks. The restaurant is definitely a 5* rating for a unique fine dining experience by far!! Thanks once again J

Roti canai, one of my all time favourite dishes, so stopping at this restaurant was a must. I don't usually order mutton roti canai but I decided to give it a go. I wish I'd gone with the chicken or even daal. Dont get me wrong, the dish was perfectly fine, but I feel that the curry sauce by itself or with chicken is better suited for this dish. Ayam goreng, was piping hot, but a bit dry, so I dipped it into the roti canai curry sauce and immediately it elevated it. No meal is complete without the teh tarik, and this, albeit a tad sweet was so comforting and yum.

Was a little perplexed to find the Couthouse Hotel afternoon tea was set in an indian restaurant. Staff were very Indian (you’re 5 minutes early sir) but did a sterling job. Champagne on arrival, tiered platter of finger sandwiches, scone cream jam, assorted desserts followed by tea/coffee. Pro’s - it was a good experience and we wanted to have a good time. Con’s - bread was poor quality (cheap), felt a little rushed, ambience was noisy but appreciate that was just the other patrons on the day.

This was my worst experience ever. The customer service is horrible with racism attitude today. The two racist guy was horrible toward me. I told them that I am working in NHS and entitled to discount. , The red TShirt guy says we need to see card, when I told them I didn’t bring with me . He said I wanna see the ID picture. Once I received pics from home the other guy said I need to see physical picture. Why they give me so much hustle with no reason. Like how many people miss use blue card and NHS ID card for just Nando’s . I was with my children but the way they see me and talking with each other I feel like they giving me money and pay our food. Worst experience ….. why these racist people put on to public resturant. …

It had been a long time since I had enjoyed a Balti after many great experiences in Birmingham. After last night delivery, I had to check whether my memory wasn't failing me. Sorry but what makes the base of the real McCoy is Onions, just like bread for a sandwich. The £13.95 dish I ordered was anything but a Balti.

The food was very unhygenic that we realised and suffered 45 mins after eating with bad stomach and diarrhea and cramps. All of us from old age to 2 year old child who ate their food got ill. We ordered veg and non veg thali, wrap and chicken biryani, the food tasted okay but was terrible or dirty which we did not know. After we left the place we faced the consequences especially when we have to travel so far in london. We saw it had good rating so we chose this as we were nearby tower of london and now I will never recommend this place to anyone ever. Worst dirty food.
