The best restaurants serving Indian food in London

I’ve ordered from the Frying Pan three times. The first time I had one of the best Chicken Dhansaks I’ve ever had, and the second time it was also very good. This time it was a tomatoey mess, with few lentils and even less coriander. It’s clear this place can deliver very good food, but tonight was extremely disappointing- perhaps a different chef? What kind of Dhansak tastes mostly of tomatoes?!

Having placed our order, which was a struggle as the guy didn't appear to know his own menu, we were told that the order would take an hour and a half. As such I asked to cancel the order and have my money returned. As a result I was promised delivery with 60 to 70 minutes with the consequence that if it did not arrive in that time, we would be reimbursed our money. We agreed to continue although I emphasized that this was not about the money but about a family celebration of my eldest sons exam results. 70 minutes later I received a phone call to be told that "we have done it" and that the driver would be with us in five minutes. After fifteen minutes of waiting and no driver arriving I phoned again to be told that they would phone him to try and track him down. Bizarre given that I live so close to this place. After one hour and three quarters the driver finally appeared stating that he had left the shop just five minutes previously, so everything I'd been told was a pre-empted lie. I asked for the reimbursement and was now told that the guy didn't have the authority to do that but I could have 20% off my next order. I was also told that whatever else, I was about to eat some delicious food. Turns out that was just another of their lies. Rubbish service No qualms about lying to their customer Really mediocre, underwhelming food. Avoid this place.

This shop is now under new management! The food quality and standards is top. Highly recommend the Peri Peri Family Grill Platter.

they are never open any more but say they are. phone no answer, just eat cancels orders... have they closed down? (tried to order multiple times over the past month, have been a loyal customer for 3 years, I really loved their food!)

The meal was ordered then after a 60 minute wait was told that there was bad traffic (5 miles?) 30 minutes later still bad traffic 30 minutes later was told he's almost there but is lost (sat nav not working?) rang for the 4th time to be told he's almost there? I asked for the meal to be cancelled and that a refund be processed, I was met with totally belligerent attitude. A really bad experience still waiting for confirmation that the order has been cancelled Overall a really bad experience with yet again the customer coming of worst

One of the best Tandoori chicken you can find in the whole of London, mark my words. This place is so much underrated. Loved the food here though the ambiance can be more better. Good staff!

Been using this take away for 38 years when the old fella was running it. It has deteriorated now. I was told the delivery would be 50 minutes to an hour. I phoned after an hour and was told it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. The order was half cold and the chicken portion on one of the dishes was small. Shame, because the food is actually very nice but it isn't worth the bother any more. Plenty more Indian take always in the area. You need to step up your service or you'll lose more customers.

We love this place. The chaat is awesome, samosa chaat is our favourite. The dosas are great too! It’s our regular!

Always enjoy the food from here! We think it’s the best about!

i chose them over deliveroo .. one of the worst chicken biryani ever.. the chicken wings were salty and burnt.. chicken 65 was soo oily .. a big NO.. total waste of money and unhealthy

La ubicación era pintoresca, cuenca de Limehouse que refleja el horizonte de Docklands en el crepúsculo. La comida era exquisita y las porciones muy generosas. Ojos más grandes que nuestros estómagos, no pudimos terminar nuestra comida y terminamos llevándonos la mayor parte. No es sorprendente para un sábado por la noche, el restaurante se puso muy ocupado poco después de que llegamos. El camarero que nos atendió fue agradable y paciente, ya que éramos un grupo familiar con niños pequeños. He dado 4 estrellas porque había un retraso entre cursos, donde varias otras partes estaban para mi molestia siendo servidos antes que nosotros. Nuestro camarero se disculpó y aconsejó que había una mezcla entre dos mesas, pero la comida se serviría en unos minutos (por desgracia, fue más largo que eso). Además, el restaurante extrañamente no proporciona toallas calientes ni toallitas de limón (la primera vez para un restaurante indio). Otro camarero estaba muy blasé cuando pregunté, dejándome sin diversión. El proyecto de ley era razonable y hay un cargo por servicio obligatorio.

Lunch out with the parents being fathers day. Saw many friends as well. Also for birthday lunch and meet friends 4 a few coffee

Our first visit. Food was delicious, plentiful, hot and great price. Staff were helpful and friendly will definitely visit again.
