We love this place. The chaat is awesome, samosa chaat is our favourite. The dosas are great too! It’s our regular!

I had a wonderful experience at Diwana’s! The food was authentic, flavourful, and clearly made with care. The staff were friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere felt welcoming and relaxed. Starters are good , however nothing related with authentic bhel puri delicacy and test which is been famous in Mumbai/India. Farsaan was some what good again its very far from Indian authentic . Idely /dosa was good and felt like very fresh. Worst part was dinner Curry's and staff service . I won't recommend dinner on this place and not fine dinning. It may be good option to try starter but don't expect authentic Indian food.

Las placas aquí son únicas, son pequeñas bandejas de plata, ideales, ya que tienen un pequeño borde estriado, nada goteado de los lados. Aunque ninguno de los platos estaban etiquetados, el personal estaba más que encantado de decirle lo que era cada plato. No había límites en cuanto a cuántas veces podías subir y servirte la comida. Me pareció bueno tomar solo una pequeña cantidad en mi primera visita, luego cuando volví arriba, podía probar otra cosa o tener una mejor porción de lo que había disfrutado.

Had so much expectation on the bhel poori since it's advertised in the name. But very disappointing. I don't know which part eats bhel poori being so soggy. Definitely not the south india type.

We visited for dinner without reservation impromptu but we were seated immediately. We love vegetarian only places and pretty much everything we had was so flavourful and tasty. Service was prompt and quick. It can get quite noisy though.. We would love to revisit if in this area again!

Diwana is always brilliant. Great food and exceptional value. Staff are friendly and helpful. Never had any complaints in the 10+ times we’ve been here.

Haven't been there for several years but recently visited and found same good quality and friendly service that I had known before. Tables are still a bit cramped and basic but I suppose that's part of the charm!

Have been coming to this restaurant for over 30 years. They do the best Bhel Poori. We always choose a few of the starters first lunch as they are so good and don’t bother with the mains! Dosas look great though, so maybe next time…. Perfect lunch when in the area.

Underwhelming dining experience. On a Sunday evening, all of Drummond Street was desolate. We picked Diwali for its vegetarian menu which looked enticing. Salt lassi , good but pricy at £5 per glass. Aloo papri chat not much flavour. Very good sag Bhajee, passable tarka dal. Very mediocre mixed veg curry. nice parathas. Loud music, which the manager kindly turned down on request. No feedback on explaining to waiter as to why our plates were not locked clean. Avoid

Diwana is a legend. So many lives tied up in this place. The food is hit and miss: it was a miss when I last went, but has been excellent other times. The service is fine. The seats are cramped (we are all bigger than we are). But Drummond Street as a whole - and Diwana in particular - would be on my list of places for visitors to go for insights into some of what has made London as it is. And sometimes you get a great meal at a good price too!

Delicious south Indian food served with classic style - attentive but not intrusive service in a restaurant decor as timeless and sound as it must have looked over 50 years back when the restaurant first opened. Wide dining area with plenty of natural light but also cosy and bustling - a good vibe. Interesting food, well presented, BYOB welcomed, reasonable prices, a perfect place to meet up, long overdue, with a wonderful friend.

Our go-to place for lunch on Drummond Street. Lovely curries and dosas and chats.

I discovered this restaurant 40 years ago. The kitchen is still turning out delicious dishes. The flavours are so fresh and delightful that you might not register that most, if not all, dishes are vegetarian. I brought an American friend who can be a little traditional in his choice of food and he loved everything we ordered. This not your typical Indian restaurant, although a few more typical dishes have been added over the years. Be sure to try the things you don't normally see! For example try a chaat and a dosa dish for the original bel poori experience.

I’ve been coming here for years. The only real Bell Puri house in London nothing has changed in 30 years still saying quality. The HS2 project is meant that it’s quieter than it used to be highly recommended.

Got a variety of puri and really disappointed 😞 No freshness or taste just a jogurt sauce with some chick peas and crispy stuff. Threw is away.

This place is a secret gem. The prices are sensational for a completely authentic South Indian vegetarian menu. Tucked away in Drummond Street, near Euston station. A basic, no-fuss, service and atmosphere. Always satisfying and pleasant to visit.

One of the joys of going to Diwana, is that you’re never quite sure what kind of service you’re going to get. Will it be grumpy, offhand and patchy or will it be really good. Today was one of the lucky days for us and the service was really, really good. The food was excellent, as delicious as we’ve ever had there. It is of course excellent value for money and so, we’re quite happy to give Diwana a whole hearted recommendation. I’ve been going to Diwana since the 70s and I can’t remember the food tasting this delicious. Well worth a visit!

I came here because I've heard that it's run by an Indian family. I was very disappointed as they didn't care for me and my needs and were only interested in money. A better option is across the street, the Drummond Villa, where humans and their needs come first and commerce come in second place 🤗💖

The lunch buffet is AMAZING. The most authentic Indian food I’ve had outside of India. Great value and lots of flavour. The restaurant is warm and inviting. So happy I stopped in. They constantly keep refilling the buffet and it was a revolving door of people coming in. Thank you! I really enjoyed the mint tea, and the buffet was a great opportunity to try new foods.

I first ate here in about 1971, when the menu wasn't in English! We used to have competitions to see who could eat £5 worth of food. Mr Patel was so friendly. Sadly passed away. RIP Mr Patel. Many happy memories. The shrikhand was delicious.

I have been coming to Diwana for so many years as it is has consistently great food. Masala Dosa is probably my go to. The weekend buffet however is my all time favourite Diwana experience. I normally avoid restaurant buffets - this one is high quality. I come away feeling truly satisfied; just great food. I'm truly not vegetarian, nontheless this simple place is a gem that really hits the spot and is well worth a visit.

Excellent weekend buffet. £12.95 for adults, around £7 for kids. With a desert buffet & homemade sauces & pickles amongst the big spread of dishes. Definitely recommend!

Diwana is my favourite Indian restaurant. I’ve been coming here for almost forty years. The food is always good. The service is attentive, friendly but not intrusive. On my last visit I had a lovely evening meal here with my best friend.

Masala chai was more for whites not for Indians. Also, quality of food have gone down. Also, added 10% service charge.

Absolutely spot on food, delicious & authentic . Visited with my husband on 28th Dec & we enjoyed all the dishes. Would recommend everyone to enjoy the food . Great service as well .

Great place to grab a meal before catching the train at Euston. Really good value for money and nice friendly staff. Recommend the masala dosa and the tamarind juice. Have been 3 times and will be back again soon

A decent option if you're in the area, nice staff. Curries are made with frozen mixed veg rather than fresh, bit disappointing but guess they've had to cut costs. Don't bother with the masala chai, it doesn't have any flavour.
