Servicio horrible y comida por debajo de la media. Estuve allí en 1995 - 6 - 7 regularmente cuando tenían un menú de pre teatro. La comida era excelente, al igual que el servicio. Las visitas recientes nos decepcionan por completo. Camareros muy tristes y gruñones y la comida está mucho peor. The restaurant advertise for a pre theatre menu outside. When you seat there they don t offer you the set menu and when you ask for it they become unhelpful, grumpy and unpleasant showing you that you are not welcome as you chose the set menu. They serve the all menu at once including starter main and dessert. I had a lentils soup which was in fact a soup diluted in too much water, then chicken rice and vegetables that were cold. I told them about it and the Manager was very rude with me and told me that if i was not happy i could leave. He then went to reheat the main course and brought it back cold once again. My neighbours had ordered a la carte and also complained about the food being cold. The food is also tasteless, the portions are small and disappointing. I will not go back there and I would recommend an excellent Northern Indian cuisine restaurant called Royals, recommended by The Curry Club and The Sunday Times, just around the corner 100 yards away from Bhatti in Endell Street. They also offer a set menu and are very welcoming and friendly.

Not a bad Indian meal but not amazing, average at best. Closing up the restaurant whilst we still ate and we felt rushed to leave. Food average and staff quite rude.

Al ver un restaurante indio, llegamos a cenar temprano. . . Poppadam para ir con jugo de naranja fresco para mi hijo y para mí y un martini seco para mi esposo. . . Le siguieron Chicken Tikka como entrante y Pilao Rice, Dal Makhani, Chana Masala y Lamb Balti como platos principales. . . El sabor era tan regular. . . pero las raciones eran muy muy pequeñas. . .El servicio fue bueno error no tan bueno. . .

Really enjoyed our meal there and were floored at how the lesser know. ingredients were turned into amazing dish! Definitely give it a shot as they had amazing tasting food.

Came with 3 teenagers grand children. asked for water from the water . The reply of no alcoholic beverage or soft drink was a bit hard to listen to . He simply laughed at us .Then when ordered food we were asked if we would like the “ big shrimp “ we said yes .To the table the dishes arrived with the smallest shrimps I’ve seen on a plate . The dishes were tiny and far from the taste of India which we love .Service was poor especially as the check arrived . I was asked repeatedly if to add the tip . The answer “ No “ made us unwelcome with every gesture till we stepped out the door.Wasted a dinner out with grandkids!!

Went with a group of friends- Service was excellent and so was the food. The table was almost like being a private dining room. Really delightful and although I have been a couple of times before never reviewed it. I suggest you eat there as it is a really excellent dining experience. I shall return and am sure I will not be dissapointed.

Traditional Indian food and service at it's very best. Herbs and spices used as they should be, quality of meats superb. Service friendly and efficient. Extensive menu at very good value prices. Definitely well worth a visit.

Bland food. The tandoori fish was a tasteless, boney waste of time. Service was unfriendly. Don’t bother; it’s rubbish & expensive.

Helt ok mat men ikke noe ekstraordinært. Mye sukker i maten, særlig i mango lassien. Servicen er også ok, men litt anmasende. Det finnes mer interessante steder å spise i området.

Will make this short & not so sweet. Had an average curry with rice and nan bread. Upon asking for the bill, the waiter said quite loudly "no service charge is included". Bill was £44, we gave them £50. So we waited & waited, eventually had to ask for our change.

I came with friends I don't speak English with, so they flat out assumed we were tourists and attempted every single trick in the book to make extra cash on us. They lectured us when we had the bottled water swapped for tap water because they were pissed we were not dumb enough to open the bottles. Then, it wasn't bad enough they charged for papadums, turns out they charged extra for chutney on top of that - chutney which by the way was the worst I've ever tasted. When we ordered our mains, the waiter basically tried to order for us. He attempted to rearrange our sides, trying to pass it as a suggestion when he was just pushing the priciest arrangement down our throats. We knew exactly what we wanted, and had to repeat our order about three times before he took it in. The food was decent but saltier and greasier than what one usually finds in this price range. When the bill came and we complained about the chutney, the waiter shot back that he legally didn't have to disclose that the chutney cost extra. They weren't even trying to hide the fact that they were trying to screw us over.

I could never call that East Indian food. I’m not sure what award they won but definitely not one in curry. Maybe the cook confused the salt with the sugar? The server was trying hard to sell more of their crappy food. The sauces were gross, the green chutney was a liquid I haven’t recognize by taste,I’m not sure what it was but it was disgusting. Poor judgment on my part to try that place, of course that won’t happen again.

Had a meal at this place and although the food was ok the service was not! Moreover, I wasn't expecting a £10 service charge. Maybe this was because I used the tastecard, who knows!!! Sneaky of it was

Food was good, tasty and full of flavour although the curries had a little too much liquid. The service however was mediocre at best, staff were not overly friendly and whilst they were attentive there was little engagement with customers.

On word - AVOID! There are 100's of Indian Restaurants in London who deserve patronage more than Bhatti.

We were a group let down by another restaurant. I very short order they produced a set menu with plenty of variety and everyting I tasted was excellent. they catered for any special needs (e.g. vegetarian) and looked after us very well.

Have found this restaurant fairly variable each time I have visited but certainly not quite as negative as other tripadvisors. This time was certainly one of the better visits.

Called in for a meal with my 12 year old grandson. I was impressed that the waiter took time to talk directly to him, and not through me, and they didn't worry when he knocked his coke over! And the food? Highly recommended!

The food wasn't bad but the service was awful. The waiters were not friendly and acted as though they were doing us a favor. It felt as though we were an imposition. What's most appealing (and amazing) is that the reviews here consistently talk about the poor service, but clearly the restaurant owners don't care. Don't rush to go here.

Visited here on a number of occasions with friends who seem to like it but I can't honestly recommend it.

Was looking for an eaterie in the Drury Lane area while sussing out some of the theatres/shows in the area. Most of the restaurants were extremely busy but Bhatti was almost empty - not usually a good sign, but we thought we'd give it a try. A good choice. The service was swift, there was a wide and varied menu, the meal was delicious, and the portions enormous. Would have given it 4/5 stars but for the rather drab decor and lack of atmosphere; and what seems a common theme with other reviews - a surly (albeit prompt) waiter.

Primero cenamos en este restaurante el sábado 21 - 07 - 2018. Ambos nos lo pasamos de maravilla, la comida y el servicio eran excelentes, no pude encontrar ningún defecto. Nuestra segunda visita que teníamos muchas ganas era el domingo 09 a 12-208. Pedimos exactamente la misma comida según la primera visita. ¿No tiene sentido que el restaurante haya cambiado de manos / Personal de cocina / Administración? . Es difícil para mí decirlo, pero por favor vaya a otro lugar donde deshacerse de su dinero duramente ganado.

Probé este indio anoche porque es local para mí y desearía no haberme molestado. El vindaloo de pollo tenía 10 años y contenía 4 trozos pequeños de pollo (ni siquiera 1 pechuga). La salsa era aceite puro, suave y nada picante. Demasiado caro y sin sabor. Es una pena, ya que está en una ubicación tan buena con no hay muchos restaurantes indios alrededor, por lo que tiene el potencial de ser bueno. Confía en mí y aventúrate más lejos por la buena comida india.

Had a great pre-theatre meal. The service was very prompt and the staff were very friendly. I had the chicken biryani and it was extremely tasty.

Food awful. Tandoori chicken consisted of two of the scraggiest chicken pieces I’ve ever seen with very little meat. On asking for sauce I was informed by the waiter (who was off the day they taught customer service) that tandoori chicken doesn’t come with sauce. Sorry, but after eating a hundred all over the country this is the first time I’ve heard this.

We needed somewhere to eat and warm up after a day at Twickenham. We found it at Bhatti. Great service and spicy curry rejuvenated us before heading for a few drinks in the West End. I will go back.

Had a lovely meal here after seeing an early show. Service and food were very good. Reasonably prices considering it’s in central London. Will definitely return here to eat.

Fairly standard Indian menu but we were generally happy with the food.

Not the most exciting menu I have seen but it serves the standard dishes well cooked & well presented.The service is quick considering its location, so if you want a good indian at a fair price when out on the town it fits the bill.Just a point to note , the restaurant is virtualy opposite The Grand Lodge of England, home of uk Masonry & if a large meeting is in place with over a1000 people in attendance & lots looking for somewhere to eat afterwards it can get busy, best to prebook.Watch out for men in dark suits & carrying briefcases.

I don't like writing negative reviews because I am usually quite happy and very easy-going, but here we go.

Bhatti advertises itself as award winning and highly recommended in The Egon Ronay Guide. We had the 3 course lunch special for £10.95. The Lentil soup and vegetable Samosa were very nice and tasty. The main course choices were limited to chicken, lamb and vegetable at different spice levels. We had the Ronan Josh chicken and lamb and got a complimentary vegetable curry. Plentiful and tasty but not gourmet Indian cuisine from a spice perspective. A mouth cooling vanilla ice cream for desert.

Not sure why all the bad/mediocre reviews. We had 3-course pre-theatre menu and was both tasty and a great deal. This meal was far better than the Indian food we ate at a Brick Lane restaurant. Service was very attentive (they even charged our phones). Onion bhaji (which you can't find in USA) was excellent. Both main dishes were very good and we eat Indian food on a regular basis. Meal included vanilla ice cream. Great place for pre-theatre meal!

Stopped off for a bit of dinner. Excellent service and super food - particularly the garlic chicken which is first class. If you happen to be in Covent Garden area this is well worth a visit.

Bhatti Indian Restaurant has been the real curry house they are made up of an elite team waiting to serve you with respect and quality. The other reviews are unfair and they do not know the impact it is doing to the livelihoods of the workers.

Prices seem high but as this is London they are really just average, which describes the whole experience. Food is average, service average and ambience average. If you are in the area then why not? But don't expect too much.

La gente que ha clasificado el curry aquí claramente no son regulares son amantes de la salsa de curry y probado como una gloopy mezcla de paquetes, el cordero sabía que si hubiese sido reconstituida y no mucho tampoco, el paratha estaba bien hecha por fuera y cruda por dentro prácticamente, el arroz estaba bien. El personal parecía que me hubiera gustado que no eran realmente muy contentos de poder servirte aparte de un hombre que llegó más tarde y fue muy agradable, pero por desgracia no recuerdo su nombre. También bastante caro incluso para Londres hay establecimientos de mejor relación calidad-precio cerca. Pasamos por este lugar varias veces hasta las 10 pm y nunca había más de 3 o 4 mesas ocupadas y este era viernes por la noche, habla por sí mismo.

Fuimos los primeros en! No significa que no era popular? Así que queríamos un indio y así entramos en. Nos pusieron en la ventana - buena elección dada nuestra preocupación, y antes de que la gente de largo y estaban reuniéndose el restaurante estaba lleno. En cuanto a la comida, era delicioso. Mi Gambas Bhuna era muy buena y el pollo pasanda de mi esposa fue despedazado con gran placer.

OMG. That was the worst "Indian " food I've ever tasted anywhere. It all went straight in the bin. Seriously, avoid this place at all costs. See my previous reviews for a good Indian restaurant in the area.

Bhatti restaurant has good location near Covent Garden, Holborn and Soho, Most of the theatres are also nearby. We saw it while roaming around Covent Garden and decided to have some thing light to eat, The waiter suggested Aku Chaat, Samosa, and Chicken Pakora with coffee. A good choice. We liked the preparation. Will come again for a nice dinner.

Went here with a friend for a quick bite. We didn't want much so we sat down and ordered 2 beers. We only wanted starters because we weren't very hungry and just wanted something small to line our stomachs before going out. The waiter had to "check with the manager" to see if that was ok. I could understand if the restaurant was full but there were plenty of empty tables, they clearly just want your money. Service was off after that and I felt really awkward. Even though we ordered 4 starters between 2 we were stil made to feel weird and the waiter said we were "expected to order a main course" which we did not. The chicken was so overcooked it was almost impossible to eat. I ended up eating the side salad that came with the starters rather than the meat. A good restaurant would have accomodated us no matter now little or much we wanted to order and done it with a smile. Would not go again.

Me and my partner stumbled across this restaurant while looking for somewhere to eat before the theatre. I'm so glad we found this! It's maybe not the most fancy place I've ever been but the food was delicious. The chicken balti was very nice as was the chicken jalfrezi. Staff were friendly. Would I eat here again? Yeah I probably would.

While the food was nice, the service & friendliness of the staff left much to be desired. It certainly wasn't worth the 12.5% service charge they slapped on the bill. When I queried this, the waiter rudely snapped 'Do you want to pay it or not?' We chose not. At this point, the customer seated next to us decided to chip in her 2 pennies' worth, while the waiter retorted that the 12.5% charge was only for tastecard customers. Why offer a 50% discount on food to then create a service charge? We weren't the only ones who were unhappy: another couple left without paying due to slow pre-theatre service.Awfully rude waiting staff & ignorant, nosy customers. I will certainly not be returning.

Unpretententious. We had king prawn rogan gosh [not on menu but done for us] and lamb dansak, both very enjoyable The dansak was the best I've tasted for some years.

We asked for various curry's, all they did was put red chill powder in all the curry's. Warning do not go here, not nice.. You have been warned

I had a great curry here with friends. The food was tasty. The service was good especially as we were quite a large group. Convenient location close to Covent Garden. Notes from a wheelchair:Ramped access (great to see when too many businesses along this street have steps). No disabled toilet though. Ample room inside to get between tables.

Located very close to the New London Theatre, it is convenient for a pre-show meal. However, whilst service is geared up to ensure you meet your timings, it is not really "service with a smile". Sadly, you feel that you are an inconvenience to the establishment.Food was not bad. We were seated right next to the door, which wasn't the best location. Price ok for what you get.Wouldn't really go again, but there are so many other eateries in the area that you are spoiled for choice.

Visited for dinner. The food was excellent if expensive. The Nan is small. Order two. The boiled rice at £3.95 is a rip off. Chicken Jalfrezi was great, as was the Chicken Rogan Josh. The Kingfisher Beer was cold. The staff were pleasant. Would I go back to eat again? Probably.

We went as group of 15 and guy force us to take set menu meal as he pretended that our booking was for set meal. Although, 90% of restaurant was empty. Also, for my veggie friends he served fish cake. Food I would say average considering the price they are charging. Attitude of staff was very bad. I would avoid to go again.

An expensive restaurant comparing to the food quality and quantity with average service. They are in a prime location so visitors from India normally go their, but come out with a so-so feeling.

As curry lovers we tried out this restaurant, as it also subscribes to Tastecard.My food was average, but my colleague was not at all impressed by her vegetarian selections, commentating that they were tasteless.If we had had to pay the full price instead of the 50% off from Tastecard, the criticism would be harsher.
