This was the first time i ordered from Holy Cow. The food was delicious, the spices in each of the dishes was different, however there was not enough sauce in both dishes. we ordered a paratha to mop up the Sause but alas there was none..

Ordered the takeaway vegan tikka masala and there was hardly any curry or sauce was mostly rice, feel like I didn't get my moneys worth. The little curry that was there also tasted a bit bland, maybe more sauce could have helped.

Third time we ordered - never disappoints! Will definitely keep coming back to this. The food arrived piping hot, and all dishes were well prepared.

Ordered take-away from Putney branch. We chased after one hour. Food arrived after one and a quarter hours. STONE COLD.

After 5 years of custom, and my son being diagnosed with Coeliacs disease we trusted Holy Cow to understand the question, "is this gluten free?" the staff reassured us that the chicken curry was gluten free, unfortunately not and my son was very poorly for two days. I wrote to the restaurant twice and eventually they responded by dismissing the complaint saying that their menu it clearly labelled. It is not. Getting this right isn't hard and a food business should not be so lazy and incompetent.

Having been loyal customer for over a decade, it has been incredibly sad to see this restaurant repeatedly failing in its customer service. It has become unreliable and rude. Our last four orders were all wrong with food missing or wrong order given. They are hardly ever answer the phone and when they do and you raise a concern they hand up on you. The manager on will refuse to help. Our last order was completely wrong, when we tried to get our order, they said they were too busy. The next day they refused a refund or to get the right food out. Disappointed and sad to see this once great place become just another example of taking its customers for granted.

Upon perusing the menu, my initial response was one of letdown, but I couldn't have been more mistaken. Every dish we selected was truly outstanding, as was the quality of service. The atmosphere was delightful, allowing for comfortable conversation.

Loved my meal, i had paneer cheese main, naan, aloo farsi and lamb samosas. Really tasty, recommended!

Used Uber Eats offer and got c.60% discount. Delivered within 40 mins from ordering! I ordered chicken biryani and parbat lamb. Food was awesome, piping hot, cooked to perfection with fantastic flavours. Very generous meat content was a welcome bonus as were the 2 free poppadoms. Equally the best Indian meal I've ever had, eat-in or takeaway.

We visited as a party of 5 and shared 5 starters and then each had our own main. The 5 starters were all very nice and we were excited about the food to come. The mains on the other hand were not as big of a hit. My dish which had no spice stars was far spicier than my brothers which had 2 stars for spice. His dish was a creamy prawn dish and was nearer to a carbonara than it was a curry. The service was also really poor. A couple of times we’d gone to order some drinks and the waiter was gone before we could even finish. No one asked if our food was ok. A couple of times we felt the waiter blunt. Overall we were hoping to find this a slightly “fancier” Indian but overall didn’t quite hit the mark.

I was a little concerned having read several poor reviews but I needn't have worried. We were given a friendly welcome, excellent service and very good food. We'll definitely be back.

I ordered online last night, but the order never arrived. I called, apparently it was my fault (!!). The delivery person couldn’t find my address, but I’ve ordered from here pretty regularly and with no issue - on those occasions it’s been very. I understand issues sometimes arise, but the customer service in dealing with it was particularly difficult. They offered to re-deliver the same meal, but as it has been our for delivery and then returned to them for at least 20 mins I wasn’t tempted by a cold meal being delivered nearly an hour after it was due. It also wasn’t clear to me how they’d find me this time if it was problematic earlier in the evening. I guess it was a new delivery person. Someone said they’d call back at 10.30pm to discuss a resolution as I understood you were busy with orders. No one called me back as advised so I called you sometime after this. I was hung up on after a short initial conversation, not sure how or why. I called back. We still weren’t able to resolve. Bit of a fiasco. I think we agreed you could keep the money for the order that never made it to me and I’d use somewhere else in the future. Not ideal. Shame as nice place and I deliberately order directly to avoid Deliveroo charges to you. I don’t think I felt like a valued customer at any point during the evening, pre or post issue and certainly not now. I guess it’s Deliveroo from now on from a different restaurant, which isn’t ideal as my preference is to use and support local businesses. It’s a shame where doing so means you pay for but don’t get any food

I have considered leaving this review for some time as I am very torn. You see I really like the food and the fish curries would be a 5. However the service is awful and drags the score right down. The deliveries are always late - not a few minutes but 30 mins plus. If you can ever get the staff on the phone they can at best be described as dismissive but bordering on rude. Always same story - food on its way. Some times that means 10 mins until delivery Sometimes its another 30. Delivery people also rude.They aren't a cheap restaurant so you can't even say get what you pay for because customers pay for service too. I'm afraid that as my food is already 35 mins late I will be looking at supporting alternatives in future.

We enjoyed a very satisfying meal this Saturday evening delivered to us by HOLY COW in Putney. It was brought by a cheerful Mr Gandhi. Food arrived within an hour, not an hour and 15 minutes. Our meals were delivered in a tidy cardboard box. Poppadoms were in one piece! Food perfectly heated and perfectly spiced - very authentic experience... generous portions which made up for the slightly higher price. Order directly on their website. Other food delivery options I almost booked through were significantly more expensive for the same dishes! No spillage! We will certainly repeat the experience. Thank you!

The most horrible experience, my New Year’s Eve was completely ruined ( I am also pregnant ) my boyfriend left to go to work at 8 pm I ordered £70 of food from Deliveroo for this restaurant Holy Cow, it was meant to be a surprise for my boyfriend ( New Year’s Eve dinner before he left for work ) I ordered the food at 5.30 pm expecting it to arrive before 7 pm the time kept changing when the food was arriving , it said 7.15 then 7.30 then 7.45 and so on until 10.45 pm I tried to call the restaurant for 4 hours and they had no phone lines working ( they decided to take the phone of the hook ) so obviously at 10.30 I was literally fuming, so I had to get out of my pijamas and take a walk down to holy cow ( 20 minutes walk away from my house) when I arrived there was 3 customers all complaining about the same as me. The lady who was on the desk was so rude she put her hand up to my face and said “not our problem contact Deliveroo because we decided not to take any Deliveroo ordered tonight ) there was also 5/6 Deliveroo drivers inside waiting for there orders , but apparently they was told to leave as there is no DELIVEROO tonight. ( would have been if someone had called me up to tell me the order would not arrive ) I spent 2 hours on hold to Deliveroo and they told me to wait the food is coming and on its way. Totally disappointed and unacceptable behavior, the worse thing is I could not even order anything else as it was now 11.15 pm and everything had closed, so not only did my boyfriend go to work without eating I also could not get anything. The people in Holy Cow were so rude to me I will never be going back to there restaurant. Iv emailed and asked the boss to call me but obviously he won’t.

We had a takeaway for two. Seriously good. We just had the one main course but supplemented it with some veggie sides. These were particularly impressive with the vegetables cooked just right and every dish having its own distinctive flavour - gobi sabji was my favourite with lots of fresh ginger. The order arrived within ten minutes of the requested time and was piping hot. Really enjoyable. We'll be back.

So frustrated as we ordered a curry for delivery tonight and it was due at 8.45pm. We could see it was a busy night as we placed the order at 7.30pm but figured we could wait - it was a treat for our children! By 9.15pm there was still no sign so we called the restaurant - no answer so we left a message. By 9.30pm, still no answer nor call back so I left another message. We decided to wait until 9.45pm but I started to cook some pasta as my girls were starving! We then also found another phone number and email address so tried both of those - remarkebly, still no reply. We fed the children and made ourselves some dinner assuming something g had really gone wrong. At 10.05pm the bell went with the delivery driver and our curry. By this point we had all eaten or started to eat so we had to ask the driver to take it back for a refund. I understand them being busy but you cannot take an order for a delivery at 8.45pm and send it over 1 hr 15 mins late without a phone call to see if they can wait.

We have been ordering Holy Cow for years, through their home delivery service, when I heard that Holy Cow opened its first fine dining restaurant, it is without question that I wanted to try the amazing heavenly delights served by their executive chef. You are greeted with a warm greeting and asked for your coats, you have the option to have a cocktail at the bar or to be seated at your table. The waiting staff are very kind and you just know that the Holy Cow culture is instilled in everything they do. The menu boasts an extensive list across all their dishes, with something for everyone. This is without question the best Indian restaurant in London, interesting enough the tantalizing taste of fresh ingredients and great combination of food will have you mesmerized. The wine list is not plentiful but certainly a good selection with the food and menu. Finally, once you are ready to leave you will hear namaste, these amazing people have created a fantastic restaurant that is worthy against all its competitors. Great food, great service and a great experience. Without question we will return!

We ate in the Holy Cow Fine Dining restaurant, neighbouring the takeaway. Fairly unassuming from the street, but once inside really attractive, modern restaurant and trendy bar. Food high quality and service flawless, plus reasonably priced. Will definitely return and highly recommend.

I ordered some dish and received it at home without rice. I never had to order rice separately when ordering Indian food. And it's not really specified. So after paying 15 pounds for my food I should reorder and pay over 8 pounds to receive the second part of my dish... A bit dry.I will not order again there.The portion is very small as well for the price.

Ordered a takeaway curry on NYE and even though I've had a Holy Cow curry a few years ago (and it was delicious), I wasn't expecting much considering it's NYE! Well, it was absolutely amazing - my partner said it was the best curry he'd ever had!

This was the most disgusting Indian takeaway I have had. Thankfully Deliveroo gave me a credit refund but I would rather have my actual money back. The curry tasted like a microwave meal. Everything was stone cold. The popadoms were stale. Ridiculously expensive as a take away and wasn’t even worth a fraction of the price. Very disappointed and will be spreading the word so more people do not get ripped off. If I could rate worse than 1 star I would!

I've been ordering from this restaurant for the past few years because the food is superb. My housemates love getting food from there too. Amit is a great delivery driver and always brings my food on time with a smile. The Paneer Nawabi dish is brilliant! Highly recommended.

I usually don’t write reviews but this was so bad we don’t want anyone else to go through the same pain. Our food was hours late, we called 3 times to chase it up and were told each time it was on its way (it wasn’t), items were missed. It was cold & we had to re- heat it in the microwave.

I saw the reviews and wanted to try it.I went there before, so I brought my father and we ate it... DELICIOUS! We ordered too much food but we loved it and the taste was very impressive. The garlic naan was lovely and I think every one should try!

Cannot rate Holy Cow Putney more highly. Food quality is consistently fantastic. Prices are reasonable. Delivery is always trouble-free and their drivers polite (Amit: thank you for your excellent service last night). Definitely should be your go-to Indian in SW London for home deliveries.

The food is good but there are a few factors that deter. Ordered from Deliveroo - great service food delivered in 30 mins. Decided to order from the website as it is q a bit cheaper and told delivery would be up to 90 mins! 1 hour and 45 mins later..... food arrived, cold and having had to call them twice. Disappointing, I thought they would have prioritised there own direct customers.

Worse Indian i've ever had. Seriously avoid this place. Had a curry that didn't taste of anything with overcooked chicken. No taste at all. Could only eat half of it. Still hungry.

Have ordered delivery a few times and generally a bit slow but good food. Recently ordered and the waiting time they give is ‘ASAP under 90 mins’ (!) but figuring as we live close it should get here well under the 90mins mark. So 10mins past the 90 mins mark we were pretty annoyed our food hadn’t arrived. Phoned them, didn’t pick up for 5 times. When they did pick up I felt very much like the blame was trying to be placed on me, even though I had the order and order number in front of me: “are you sure you ordered from Hammersmith?” “Are you sure you ordered delivery” “well, all the online orders go direct to the kitchen and your order is not here”. Eventually it turned out the delivery driver was to blame “yeah, she’s new, you’re not the first one to complain today” (oh good!!). She was delivering to somewhere else before us (seriously? 90mins in?) and was 5 mins away. 10mins later and still no food rang back just as she was arriving, nearly 2 hours after I’d ordered, won’t the food be cold after all this I asked (it was, stone cold), “oh just ring us back and we’ll send out a fresh order”. Complained this wasn’t reasonable considering we had already waited 2 hours and had other plans and was told well that was my choice. Terrible customer service. No refund offered. What annoys me the most is that we figure it’s better for them (and us-ha!) if we go direct and not via a middle man (Deliveroo) yet I think they must prioritise Deliveroo as you are given a definite timeline and tracking so at least you know what is happening. And Deliveroo are brilliant in offering refunds etc as soon as there’s a problem. Well never again! Shame as the food is great (when it’s not stone cold).

One of the best places to get Indian food. They make special requests and always deliver delicious, extra spicy meals. Niranjan is always kind and welcoming, recommending the best dishes of the day. Try it yourself :)

We order frequently from Holy Cow (maybe a 1-2 of times a month) and we frequently try different dishes but have some real favourites: seti salmon, murg korma, and Bhindi Bhaji to name a few.

Ordered a meal for two. Arrived 25 minutes late. Stone cold. Phoned, told a tale of woe about driver availability, offered 25% refund, then 40% refund. Was asked for my card details over the phone despite having entered them into the system (securely) when ordering. Game over guys, never using you again.

Amit was amazing! He waited outside the gate for 25 minutes, just worried about our food jetting cold. He didn’t leave just kept ringing the broken gate buzzer and eventually got us on the phone which was not in the room we were partying in. Was boys movie night and we were all staving! This is one West London's better takeaway curry houses in the eyes of many West Londoner's but it's not a patch on anything in Whitechapel. It's also grossly overpriced. £1.75 for a tiny pot of chopped cucumber and onion! Why? The curry dishes are pleasant enough but again grossly overpriced wit a very lazy £11.25 price tag against every dish. All in all though, none of the dishes have great depth or really come together. Average at best but for the price, disappointing.

Never had a bad one. Always great quality. Yes, you have to wait up to an hour but the estimate is always bang on and delivery drivers area great, Amit was very pleasant.
