Absolutely waste of money do not recommend at all used to be one of the best curry houses around now gone totally downhill

Had dinner there, excellent food and excellent service, the restaurant is takeout and delivery but they allowed us to dine in , friendly service

Disgusting prices for poor food used to be a great curry takeaway obviously been taken over and oily food shame its gone down hill will never use them again.

My favourite Indian takeaway have let me down. My last order I paid £3.50 for a bottle of coke with my order which I never received. I tried numerous times calling the restaurant but no one answers and used their own website’s ‘contact us’ option 3 times but no response via email or phone. Robbed of £3.50 and not impressed. I won’t be using again.

To be fair, the food was decent and that's the only thing that's earning it 2 stars. The service was atrocious. The food was 1.5 hours late, and because they provide their own delivery, Deliveroo couldn't help. And when we tried to call them, they kept saying 5 minutes 5 minutes 5 minutes. This was when it was 45 mins late. And after the 2nd call, they just stopped picking up and even Deliveroo couldn't get a hold of them. Won't be ordering from them again, atrocious service.

This place is terrible. They lied about when my order will be delivered for over an hour. Finally when I got my food, I wish I hadn't... It was awful!

This place USED to be 1 of the best curry houses around the area, NOW its gone completely down hill. Long delivery times, cold food, chewy meat, VERY oily sauces and THE RICE WAS HARD. If a curry house cant even make rice then its game over. Such a shame, wont be ordering again.

The worst indian food i ever had in my entire life, we ended up throwing almost everything, and despite that, still felt like trash from the small amounts we had. If you feel that life is too long and want to shorten it, no other food will make your arteries clog as easily. The main base of the dishes is oil, the names are just decorations of what your oil soup tastes like. In addition with that, the dishes were clearly sweetened- leaving you with clogged arteries and obesity by the end of your meal, possibly rhyming with a heart attack depending on your health. This food is a bad weapon. Seriously though, please learn how to cook.

Risky! Ordered a takeaway, 4 hours later I had a case of food poisoning. The food was not fresh, and most of it was thrown away. Dreadful don’t let these guys mess with your health.

Ruined my mother's, mother's day meal by sending wrong order, then offered a lame apology stating it was the drivers fault, even though my order and name was stapled onto the bag with the incorrect items. Not the drivers fault. Clearly a problem with the packer. Never ordering again, stay away.

Amazing food, order here all the time have never been dissatisfied! Yummy! Price can be a bit steep but ordering off just eat there is usually a deal available. I’ve had things forgotten before but they always come back straight away with the item and are very fast too and usually just a naan! Edit: has gone down hill a bit recently, but this could have been one bad experience

I ordered through Just Eat as they are only 10 minutes from me. My food was 45 minutes late and had been with the driver over an hour. After calling the restaurant twice to be told it was 5 minutes away. I recieved an awful meal. Food was stone cold. The chicken in the madras was tough like shoe leather and the naan bread was so burnt it was inedible. I certainly won't be going back there again. Save your money or order elsewhere. Service was a disgrace and the staff don't care.

TRES HORAS.Nadie está levantando sus teléfonos tampoco.Puedo apreciar si algo salió mal, pero tres horas sin contacto del restaurante es espantoso.

Ordered a butter chicken but was given a korma? what? and my delivery came half an hour later than expected. Portions were quite small, luckily we got a deliveroo discount but I dont think its worth it even at that price.... bit disappointed unfortunately seeing as there were so many good reviews.

Delicious food and friendly service. My son and I especially enjoy the lamb dansak. A shame about taking the coconut rice off the menu as we really like that dish, another down side to Thames Tandoori is it is on the expensive side but well worth the service altogether

When your tandoori arrives for home delivery raw and gives you food poisoning and the restaurant doesn't care. Do not use this place as i have been very ill and am now on medication

We have only had deliveries from here but every time it is fantastic. They will listen to every single request you make and is one of the only places we’ve found that does egg naan. Their service is great, very polite and accommodating. Menu is very vast and has a lot of options (though not as much as they used to do) but as mentioned, they will modify any dish if you want it spicier/less oily etc. You can order direct from them and sometimes they give you a little discount this way.

During a holiday visit to London, we craved Indian food. But which of the numerous delivery/takeaway places to choose? Based on reviews, we called Thames Tandoori. What a good decision! We ordered assorted chicken, potato, and prawn dishes, plus rice and cheese naan. All were delicious and flavorful. The cheese naan had little cheese, but other than that, everything was better than expected. Delivery was within the time frame given, from their place in Battersea to ours in South Kensington. When the food arrived, the delivery person said, "Thank you very much for ordering from our restaurant." Wow! How often do you as a customer feel appreciated, anywhere? Three magnets were in the delivery bag. We left one at the holiday flat for other hungry visitors, and returned home with the other two. Trouble is, we're in California, and looking at the refrigerator magnet makes us eager to return to London. Sigh...if only this place were closer. See you next time, Thames Tandoori!

Food was amazing as usual and I have been eating here since I was a little boy! They did however forget my two diet cokes and it was during the heat wave so It ruined my experience this the around. They don't usually make big mistakes but I'm sure they will give more drinks next time, free of charge.

Just visited with a Dutch friend to eat inside, we were welcomed by very friendly staff and the food was amazing! Best Jalfrezi I have ever had and the chicken wings with homemade sauces were fantastic too. Will definitely come back again.

Regular Coke rather than Diet Delivered. No rice and no bread. No Napkin , no cutlery.

Honestly one the best Indian food places is south west London. I have been ordering food from them for the past 10 year I just orders chicken jalfrezi and chicken tick masala amazing and so delicious. Also I really like the new look and decoration, keep up the good work and great customer service.

The food was bland, the chilli paneer was basically onions and chilli with a little bit of sauce. The paneer was also very hard and chewy. The wrong naan bread was delivered

Hi. We are from Malaysia and just happened to find a great place for Indian cuisine while visiting Battersea . Great hospitality from the staff there and even gave us some great tips on things to do in London. The burger and briyani were marvelous and would definitely eat there again if there were any chance. The only Curry house I order from, lived in battersea all of my 49 years, never had a bad meal from these guys. Keep up the excellent work guys x.

Lovely food. Had the Chicken and the Lamb Kormas, really tasty. Peshawari Narn was great, could really taste the coconut and the order turned up ahead of scheduled time. Didn't eat in the restaurant, so dont know why you have to give a rating on here.

almost 45 mins late, incorrect order, we physically touched the food and then driver knocked again and asked for it back! actual order stone cold had to be microvwaved. when we chased for the food restaurant very rude to us on phone

Lamb madras not enough sauce, chewy over cooked lamb. sauce and meat ratio wrong. Such a shame because the favours were wonderful.

Unfortunately not great for us on delivery. Lamb madras and rice pilau were good, but mixed tandoori grill was tough and bland, and the butter chicken lacked nuance and was heavy on the coconut milk. We also ordered a garlic naan, but not sure if the garlic was too subtle or we were given a normal naan because we didn’t taste it at all. Service was excellent though, with the delivery happening even slightly ahead of the scheduled time.

The best Indian I have had in London. Lam was a tad chewy but delicious masala and korma. I would say it's a little on the greasier side but that's what a takeaway is for! Delivery driver was very friendly also.

The chicken was so over cooked, not even edible

i got wrong order and lamb bhuna was not cooked properly ,pilau rice was old and taste was discasting and i order lamb tikka but they got me lamb tikka bhuna in total im not happy and i will not order from this thames tandoori

the chef has changed and you can feel it. the aubergines were undercooked, the chicken curry was too liquid.

Perfect! The coconut chutney with the poppadoms is by far the most delicious thing ever, yum. Butter chicken, pilau rice and peshwari naan are all some of the best I’ve had. Thanks.

The best Indian restaurant ever

delivery was 25 mins early, which I didn’t mind as I was quite hungry. I ordered the set meal for one, tandoori chicken was ok, the chicken Bhuna was quite poor and bland, wasn’t really a bhuna tbh, Bombay aloo was ok but they all lacked salt.

Ordered for 8.30 arrived at 8.10

Lamb dish was ok, chicken tikka masala was quite sweet, lamb samosa was nice.

When we first ordered from Thames Tandoori the Rogan Josh was magnificent. Now it is a dish of tomato with the odd small piece of meat. We will not be ordering from them again. My account details are correct. the delivery slip had an incorrect phone number and incomplete address - no wonder he was late finding us.

I had dinner here with a large group of people. The food was pretty good but nothing to rave about. It was reasonably priced too. Everyone seemed happy with what they got. I had a chicken tikka biryani which was fine. The service managed very well to deal with a large group at a busy time.

I am very sad to be giving Thames tandoori my first poor review as this is a restaurant that I have constantly given five star reviews to. My family have used this restaurant time and time again because of the great quality of the curries. However,, the service leaves a lot to be desired. Today our food arrived very late and very cold.. not acceptable.

Very dissatisfied with my last 2 orders from here we sent a question to the board then called the restaurant to complain we was offered another load of food or a note on the system (which we won't be ever ordering again) the manager see the question then took all the offers of replacement food back because we sent a message to the committee board on there website????? Which as paying customers we are ALLOWED to do. Our food was late. Luke warm not a lot of taste to it for the 2nd time we ordered from them. The bhaji was so overcooked they was inedible. The mint sauce was not minty and spicy? The way he dealt with us for putting a question up was terrible customer service £31.70 down the drain and a raised voice from the manager with no conclusion to our complaint. I will post this on mine and my partners Facebook too as I think paying customers shouldn't be treated or spoke to in that manner over bad food from a restaurant.

Food contained so many nuts as I am allergic to nuts my partner could see and noticed them in the food. There seemed to be no warning of nuts being put in the chicken biriyani either. I had a very close escape.

Normally this is a great place, just tonight the food was pretty much cold when it arrived and didn't have much flavour compared to normal, I hope they haven't changed their chef! :( I will try again of course and then I will know for sure.

not only was the food amazing and the best Indian I have had in London! but the delivery guy was amazing. kind, smiley and helpful. he had forgotten my drink with my order, and I was just going to let it go. but 10 mins late he came back to drop it off without me even mentioning it to the restaurant. honestly, give them a chance, you won’t be disappointed

Have been looking for good take away Indian restaurant for ages and now we have found it! The food from Thames Tandoori was SUPERB. It arrived early and the driver was very polite. All food items were tasty and delicious and just what we ordered. Lots of meat in the meat dishes and generous portions. Honestly, I was overwhelmed by how good it was. Will definitely be ordering again as they are my new fave Indian take away!
