Terrible. Really really bad. Avoid. When I complained about my meal they said who cares. Not good enough. I can’t eat what I bought. And they dont care. Tough on me! No customer service. Very bad. If you like good food avoid. I am not fussy normally. .

Unfortunately one of my worst experiences eating Indian food in London, I would not recommend ordering the Paneer Butter Masala as it has little to do with the actual dish.

Best takeaway curry had in 10 years - exceptional 👌👏👏👏

the palak paneer and the garlic chilli massala were incredible. the butter chicken was very sweet and coconut-y, like a korma, so not a huge fan. but I really liked the food!!

Absolutely gutted I only ordered from here the day before moving out of London. I had the lamb tikka masala and chicken pasanda (boring). I’ve tried countless curry houses from Tooting Broadway/Balham and this has been the best one - a good solid takeaway curry.

The fact is was absolutely gorgeous definitely will be ordering again

Really not good taste. We ordered chicken masala and there was absolutely no masala taste, very red artificial tomato sauce. Strange experience.

Driver called me aggressively at 9.07pm saying he could not find the flat and that it was ‘my fault i used the wrong post code.’ This is untrue as all my Just Eat orders use this post code with no prior issues. I sent him clear guidance to get to me, and called him for an update. He didn’t answer. I called the restaurant, who said he took it back to them and another driver would take it to me. Food came at 9.42 and was stone cold on arrival. Can this be refunded as we ordered as we had no oven so food couldn’t be reheated.

Traditional Indian cuisine, good but not exciting. I had the mixed grill (Decent) and the Persian curry which was too sweet to our taste.

Came with seven others and not one person could complain about anything. Portion sizes were good, whilst the pickle tray, naans and curries were all very tasty.

We order takeaway or delivery rather from here regularly, and it is always of a very high quality. To get the press price order direct from their website and very friendly guy will be along in about half an hour. Try most things at the moment enjoying green chicken masala, but normally go for patio. Anyway, great place give it a go

This is my regular Indian restaurant. Came here this evening with my 2 sons who also enjoyed the excellent service and food. Brilliant. Tony.

Have used this place a fair few times and to date it has been faultless. Whatever you order seems to be well cooked and well prepared. No film of oil on top of the food which is always a bonus. Normally order direct from their own website, as opposed to certain food delivery websites, as you get a more personal service, but more importantly, it’s cheaper!

5 x chefs and an electrician are out for an evening get together. The Indian Ocean Restaurant was the destination. Truly fantastic service, and absolutely gorgeous food , and wonderful service. The poppadoms were stale and inedible for second week in a row… such a shame . Otherwise 6 stars for food as rest delicious!

I have lived down the road from Indian Ocean for a while now and have been meaning to try it out, earlier this week somebody told me it was there go too Indian in London so after a stressful week me and boyfriend decided to go. WOW, we wish we hadn't waited so long to go, it was the best curry we've had in a long time. so authentic and just so tasty. I already want to go back! We were the only people in the restaurant but it was a wet Friday evening so they were preparing a lot of takeaways but that didn't mean we didn't get lovey service, the waiters were all really great and we loved the attention to detail, wet flannels, oranges and after eights before we left! We are already planning our next visit! :)

We were dining at this restaurant yesterday ( Indian ocean restaurant)(16/09/2022) around 8pm ,when we saw a delivery man coming in , and then all the waitress from this restaurant started to humiliate the driver , we were sitting on the entrance , and we saw what it was happening, all that the driver did was ask if he was on the right place and then all the staff started to yell at him and one of the staff a older man started to hit the driver on the helmet whit a pen ,my family and I felt so mad and sad at the same time. So we will never set a foot on this restaurant again and I wish whim ever is reading this should do the same , and I wish that the delivery man see this post , and if the delivery man want ,we will be very happy to be your witness against this unprofessional and this kind of behavior . Never ever coming back

This is my go to delivery restaurant. Not surprisingly being a restaurant the quality of food seems to be that bit higher than just from a takeaway. Not had a bad meal yet I’ve tried many things on the menu. Can’t fault will continue to use

We have been there for second time today and ordered once for delivery. Food is always amazing, adequate prices, friendly staff. When we ordered delivery, we felt like to have only vegetarian dishes, even we are not vegetarians, and it was nice of them and thoughtful to ask if we are indeed vegetarians because some non-meat dishes still contain some non-vegetarian products. Best peshwari naan ever!

Excellent local restaurant. I had the monkfish which was so fresh and delicious. The staff are really accommodating and friendly. My husband and I will definitely be back!

We went Mother’s Day which altho busy not exceptionally . We’ve been in a Saturday which was busier and got served ok. But this fat they had lots of takeaways prob more than usual. They seemed to be prioritising the takeaways. Making the customers or st least us wait longer than normal. We waited an hour for our mains after first having poppadoms. Then a wait till our starters then an hour for our mains. They tinned it by only taking order for next course after we finished the previous. So they spaced out our time in there. One hour however is too long. They knew they had kept us waiting abd did apologise. But then carried on with lots more takeaways. Won’t be returning. Shame as did like it there

The service was good but the chicken and lamb tikka dishes were too red in colour which suggested artificial colouring which did spoil the overall atmosphere.

My wife and I visited this restaurant for the first time.The staff were friendly and the service good. We enjoyed our starters but when it came to the lamb and chicken tikka masala,the taste was spoilt by the artificial red colouring of the food.

If you want to get totally ripped off please do order from them, specially on ubereats, they charge way more than their original prices. So I ordered "continental" fried chicken (that was supposed to come with peas, mushrooms, tomatoes, chips) they made it sound like something special, it cost me £14.50 on ubereats. Guess what I get when I receive the order; only soggy gross chips with 5 fried chicken strips. No vegetables nothing. This kind of meal normally costs £4-£5 in majority of fast food shops. Horrible experience, never ordering anything from them again.

We order from this place quite a bit, the Merchi Kahrai is really nice both the chicken and the lamb. Always arrives warm, good portion sizes.

Without doubt one of the best Indian takeaways I have had in London. Reasonably priced and delicious. Great for vegetarians and meat eaters alike! Couldn't recommend more.

Superb. Our regular delivery and it is always a treat. The veggie stuff is tip top and I love the chilli garlic lamb.

Everything was brilliant. Ordered Chicken dhansak and Chicken Tikka - both would highly recommend from here. The dhansak had the perfect amount of spice 👌🏻All food arrived piping hot. Quality was just as good at home, as sitting in a restaurant. Can’t wait to visit this place in person when lockdown eases.

We order a takeaway on the restaurant website at 19.45. We rang at 21.15 as our order confirmation said the food should be with us in under an hour and we were told that our order had been cancelled despite the money being taken out of our paypal account and having received an order confirmation. We had to ring them they made no effort to contact us. We were told on the phone that the reason for our order being cancelled was that the restaurant did not have enough delivery drivers working. We were then told that we had to pay again by card over the phone and we would receive our food in 20 minutes but we did not receive any food until 22.15. We were told the money for the 'cancelled' order would be back in our paypal account the next day but it still has not been refunded so we have been charged twice for takeaway food that took over 2.5 hours to arrive.

Delivery was super quick and the flavour was amazing, usually really difficult to find a decent Indian but this was my first and certainly not last! :)

Had a takeaway from here while staying with friends in London. Delivery very quick, food average but they overcharged us by 3.00. possibly a genuine mistake? My fault for not adding it up before I paid?

I went with my friends today and the food was terrible. It was all a toxic green or toxic red colour. This is not authentic Indian food and I’m Indian so I should know. The soft drinks don’t come from cans or bottles but from a tap. There was too much sugar in the food - even the naans?! How does that happen?! My friends and I ordered three different dishes but they all looked the same. Over priced. The waiter was friendly - the only positive.

Took the best part of two hours to deliver one main, one rice, and one bread to a property that’s a 7 min walk away. Restaurant made excuses about issues in the kitchen, driver made excuses about issues with their bikes. Unsurprisingly the food needed reheating.

LOVE this place. Rarely do I give 5 stars to anything but they absolutely deserve it. We had a feast for three and every dish was good, but the Gosht Kata Masala (lamb in a rich brown tomato sauce) was outstanding. The naan was perfect, the sides very good, rice plentiful.

The Chef’s food was one of the best. So authentic in taste and so much flavour. Absolutely loved the service and was a good end to the day

I visited this place last night with my family the service was nothing great. When the food came my son's chicken tikka masala was a vibrant red. My daughter in law had korma ans that was full of sugar. I had a biriani which was fine. My wife and son had chicken tikka the chicken was not fully cooked in places so was pushed aside. The surprise was that out of 5 of us 3 were up all night with upset stomachs. I will never go back again but will contact the local council.

Myself and my family booked a table for this evening and when we got there we were told there was no booking but they would fit us in (the place was literally empty) we sat down we ordered soft drinks they were flat but we let it go The food arrived and I couldn't believe how red everything was. We had to ask for the rest of the food that was missing. The chicken dishes were not fantastic (not the best quality). It is such a shame as we used to go there a lot. I know the government are saying eat out to help out to help businesses but they need to supply good service and good food after all we will be paying for it through tax payments. This fabulas little restaurant needs to get back to how it was.

Excellent chicken tikka main, delicate spicing and succulent- came with a very nice salad. We also had the vegetable biriani which was a very generous portion with a nice vegetable curry. Onion bhaji was lovely too. Still crispy after delivery. Very lovely delivery gentleman too.

This is the best curry is South West London, possibly the world. This is the third time I have ordered and every time it has been utterly delicious! The portions are as big as the flavours. I consider myself an aficionado of a ‘proper curry’ and this is! The shredded tandoori chicken dish is so good (36), the chicken tikka pathia is deliciously sweet and sour with proper pieces of chunky tikka, perfectly soft and salty saag aloo and sweet and creamy motor pannier. The nann and poppadom - all done to perfection, as has been the service. I am so happy to have found you! The lovely man on the phone said that Indian Ocean has been there for 29 years, It’s sooooo obvious why! All hail the king of curries! Long may you reign!

Pensé que en realidad iríamos al restaurante en la noche de Halloween en lugar de tener la comida para llevar habitual. El servicio era tan bueno como de costumbre y el entrante tandoori de pollo realmente bueno. Pero por lo demás, la comida era muy estándar, de color opaco, curry, excepto el pollo tikka masala, que era violentamente rojo y muy dulce. El plato vegetariano para compartir comprendía verduras cubiertas con migajas de pan hechas en exceso, no la masa ligera que esperábamos. Decepcionante.
