He tenido comida aquí en el pasado era muy impresionados, y una vez más fue recomendado por la gente como un buen lugar. Así que decidí probar una comida para llevar. El caballero en el teléfono era muy amable y servicial, la espera para la comida era mínimo y el servicio a nuestra llegada, era excepcional, con personal que por encima y más allá de nuestras expectativas. En mi regreso a casa la comida era fresco y caliente, y muy sabroso. Me impresionó mucho que tenía que escribir una crítica positiva (y sorprendió bastante otros habían dado los comentarios negativos)en general, un buen restaurante para comer tanto en y llevar.

Mirando a través de estos comentarios, parece que hay un montón de negativas. En mi opinión la comida es buena en samratt pero un poco cara para lo que es. Ya que es siempre estaba vacía cuando me pase, entiendo que debe querer para cubrir los costes.Buena comida, aunque, a india no es lo suficientemente moderno para siders Putney parece.

Pedimos a comer. Después de esperar una hora y media hora llamamos a cuánto tiempo iba a ser. Después de que nos dijeron que sería conmigo en breve tenía una llamada pidiendo lo que nuestra dirección y dirigir el orden se había recibido, a pesar de que el dinero fue tomada desde nuestra cuenta. Tuvimos que explicar qué habíamos pedido y terminó siendo entregadas a la gerente. explicó que habíamos estado esperando 2 horas y ahora moverse con hambre ... Su respuesta fue "no estoy seguro de que no perderás cualquier peso ... Siguiente teléfono de tiempo nosotros como a comer no funciona correctamente' ... Él entonces dijo: 'la próxima vez nos hace saber lo que ha ocurrido y se sienten en la próxima orden le dan bebidas gratis ... Debería estar con ustedes en 15 minutos ... que realmente no nos dio mucha confianza. Cuando por fin se llega la comida tenía la temperatura de la habitación y correosos, probablemente debido a la confusión. Por desgracia esto ya que me desanima de ordenar comida allí de nuevo.

Quality of the food was great. Menu broad enough to satisfy most requirements, service quick and no pressure to leave afterwards.

Having been very disappoointed with both the service (we were rushed and the staff were rude) and terrible food (washy curry sauces with a small amount of meat thrown in) I was told things had improved but sadly I don&#039;t think they have.<br />We booked a table and arrived to find an empty restaurant with the same two members of staff who were so rude in the past. Clearly they&#039;ve not acquired any new social or customer service skills and told us they were closing up early despite our booking being accepted.<br />The Samratt remains somewhere to avoid for sure. Don&#039;t ruin your evening (and probably your next morning too) - keep clear. Try one of the others in town. We ended up having a nice Tandori in Putney a short walk from the Samratt

Samratt is easily accessible so a good meeting place. The food is not exceptional but acceptable and typical of many Indian restaurants.

Visité aquí con mi novio y sobrina como pensé que tratan de salir por la noche. El restaurante estaba completamente vacío, así que ¿por qué deberíamos de adivinado ya que la comida era terrible. Pedimos un plato tandoori, que por el precio y de experiencia previa en otros restaurantes que normalmente te encuentras una selección de carne pero aquí se llena más de la placa con dos enorme seca cebolla bhajee, uno gambas y no estoy seguro de si el pollo estaba preparado. Para los principales que tuvimos y pollo Tikka Korma 7.50 de cordero, el cordero era demasiado duro para comer y tuve que ver por cada pieza de pollo en el Korma 7.50 porque yo tenía miedo mi sobrina sin enfermar. Finalmente pedimos postre que se servía en el recipiente de plástico que debe haber sido enviados desde el proveedor, no podían ni siquiera se molestó en presentarlo bien poniendo en un vaso o plato.

We had been to the tall ships fireworks and needed a late booking. This was the only place still open. Even though they took our booking we were clearly unwelcome. They hurried us along by taking plates that weren&#039;t finished with, pouring the wine into big glasses so they could take the bottle away, standing about looking irritated and turning the lights off. £64 for a 30 minute experience and the food and wine were pretty dismal. We should have gone straight home and had toast. We always wondered what it was like. Now we know.

We were there with the fifty percent off deal. The food is great, not too oily like other places, and it was excellent value!

Don't go there!!! The staff are rude and the food is luke warm. Mandator service charge is added to the bill. I now understand why the restaurant has always been empty when we have walked past!

Esta fue una experiencia gastronómica chocante. Seis de nosotros estábamos en Putney y me apetecía una comida india en la noche. Fue alrededor de las 9 pm los sábados por la noche y había muy pocas personas allí así que quizás que debería haber sido una señal de advertencia. De todos modos, pedí un bhaji de cebolla y me preguntó si podrían hacer un vindaloo vegetal como me gusta la comida caliente. Dijeron que sí, así que estaba contento de eso. El cebolla bhaji nunca llegamos por el motivo que sea, sin explicación, pero que la denominada 'vindaloo vegetal' era un cachondeo total. No había calefacción en absoluto. Fue muy suave. Cuando me indicó esta el camarero nos dijo que era lo mejor que hacían y esa ninguno del personal podrían tomar un curry tan picante como este. Me pareció raro al principio porque era tan ridículo, pero el camarero era realmente grosero y ni siquiera se ofreció a la dirección. Básicamente lo que no conseguir lo que pedí y él no era ni siquiera ir a pretende cuidado. Esto no fue el único problema con la comida. Mi amigo pedí un pollo al curry que sabía de cordero. Dijo que unas cuantas personas ha probado y todos lo mismo. Uno de mis amigos que trabaja en catering unas preguntas perfectamente razonables sobre cómo era cocinado y el camarero no me gustó ser cuestionados. El camarero sacudido la comida y dijo que era pollo, bajo petición entró en la cocina antes de traer un plato idéntica sabía que me dicen lo mismo. Uno de mis otros amigos comentó que la carne en su curry no era agradable. Sólo uno de seis de nosotros disfrutamos de la comida, pero obviamente la experiencia en general fue arruinado. Cuando le dije que no volveremos, el camarero, que presuntamente disfruta sólo tener un puñado de clientes dijeron que era bueno que no volver porque no nos bienvenida allí. Si estás buscando un restaurante indio/Pakistaní en Londres hay mucho para elegir y todas ellas están mejor que este tugurio. Recomiendo el Durbar en Bayswater y tayyabs, pero con seriedad incluso pude hacer un mejor curry de este lugar, y lo que es más, me gustaría realmente importa si te gustó o no. Evitar a toda costa

This place is terrible guys. Please avoid unless it's the only open place in all of south london. The staff aren't friendly and the food is terrible really. This is on a Saturday night by the way. Avoid

El este lugar Probamos como parecía bien desde el exterior y locales.Tras pedir unos entrantes y platos de pollo me hubiera aceptado la comida era mala y volver a casa nunca volver.Luego encontramos la/gerentes actitud del mesero una absoluta vergüenza sin razón aparente y que casi te hacen sentir mal por no pedir comida extra. Luego fue grosero a mi girlfiend sin razón y que no olvidaré la peor experiencia de restaurante que he tenido hasta la fecha.

We ate quite early with no reservation. The service was amazingly fast. The restaurant was clean and comfortable and the food very good. Will definitely return to the Samratt.

Samratt used to be my Indian local when I lived in Putney. We live in Wimbledon for many year now and still make the trek to Samratt for the constant great food and service

The food was great, the service friendly and attentive. <br /><br />It was a quiet Wednesday night, so there weren&#039;t many in the restaurant, but that was fine for a quick mid-week bite to eat, it meant we had the waiter&#039;s attention, and a quiet table!<br /><br />No complaints with 2x very full bellies for under £30!

i ordered one veg curry and a stuffed paratha which were very bad in taste , next time i took the risk to order it over the phone and the staff was really rude over the phone. so order on your risk !!

On a recent visit to Putney, we came across Samratt. From the street, it was very inviting and looked enormous. The decor is quite beautiful - big windows, lots of light, white table linen, nicely spaced tables. Once inside, the restaurant is smaller than it looks - there is a mirrored wall across the back - but still very spacious. A charming gentleman opened the door for us and welcomed us inside. We were soon settled with menus and drinks. The aloo chat and the samosas for starters were the best we have ever eaten. However, the yogurt dip (sweetened) was, as others have said, horrible. The other pickles and chutneys were fine. Three out of the four main courses were very tasty. Sadly, though, the food was barely lukewarm. The hot plates were hot, but they arrived long before the food, and the food, instead of being served in metal dishes, was on thick pottery plates. The biryani was accompanied by a delicious vegetable curry, but the biryani itself seemed to be just a normal portion of rice with a few shrimps thrown in. It was stone cold and had to be sent back for reheating. Disappointing. So, on the plus side, the decor, the welcome, the beer, some of the dishes. On the negative side, the service, though willing and polite, was not relaxed enough - there was a nervous air about the staff. The yogurt dip and raita were inedible, the biryani was cold and poor. The toilets were dreadful - chipped and broken tiles, basin, walls and floor looked dirty. With a little more TLC and attention to detail, this place could be very good.

Came to putney for a break and came across this Indian.the service was first class and the food was amazing.we were not rushed and enjoyed a relaxing meal.the prices were good and would come back here again.worth trying

Bit more upmarket than the normal post footie match curry house but fairly standard with average pricing and usual suspects in menu. Service was efficient and friendly. Overall nice Indian with good food and beer, but nothing exceptional or stand out.

With the deal this is a bargain, not sure I would be happy with full price though.

The manager/owner&#039;s manner and attitude was shocking. Reluctant to seat us, he took the order of popadums, drinks, starters and mains as though it pained him to do so, followed by a look of absolute distain and a snatching of the menus when we said no to naan breads!<br />The food: the starters forgettable; the lamb main was low quality meat, probably mutton; both &#039;lamb&#039; and chicken main lacking in quantity, quality and flavour.<br />When asked if all was ok by a waiter, he passed the issues to the manager who asked what the problem was. No apology, I didnt want to speak to him so ushered him away abruptly.<br />As hid in the kitchen, one waiter discreetly said he was leaving next week (tips not given to staff) and another tried high fiving me as I left!

Wonderful restaurant we did not know was there. Bright, modern and vibrant. A little diamond of a restaurant with great staff, really brought a bit of spice to a fantastic evening. Will be going back and highly recommend.

Samratt was excellent value with the TT deal. I had tandoori king prawns as a main, which at full price was £14.95. However the dish consisted of 2 prawns chopped into small pieces!! Very small &amp; not impressive. The rest of the meal &amp; chicken tandoori was good

I choose this restaurant for a group of 7 of us for a celebratory meal for hubby&#039;s bday. Service was good and food was really good. Without the TT deal of 50% off, it would have been too expensive - £10 for a starter for what it was, was too much but £5 was a good price.<br /><br />I would absolutely go here, when on a TT offer. However, the food is very good regardless of the price. Everyone was very full and that was a party of 2 women and 5 men. The men loved the large bottles of King Fisher beer.<br />Staff let me decorate the table with confetti and took care of the bday cake I brought in. Restaurant was busy on a Friday night. If you went here for a meal, you would not be disappointed and we will be going back.

Having booked via top table and promised 50% off of the mains and starters we werenot expecting great things. The popadoms were mediocre and mint sauce was rubbish but then the starters arrived and boy what a transformation the tikka was lovely and moist and flavoursome and the mains were stunning really tastey and then the beat moment which was the bill a two course meal with Cobras £34 ! I will be back if i ever visit Putney again

I'm very sad to say we had a terrible experience with this restaurant. We live locally and were thrilled to try a local indian restaurant just around the corner from us, but unfortunately we will not be back. I can't comment on the quality of the food, because we never had the chance to eat our meal. . . We have the tastecard, a London dinner club card that offers 50% or 2 for 1 specials at over 8,000 restaurants in London. We've used it frequently and have been very happy with our experiences so far. We recently noticed that Samratt had been added to the tastecard club, and so we decided to give it a try. Although the place is regularly empty during the week, they have a decent weekend crowd and decent TA reviews. When we walked in on a Thursday night, we were the only ones there, and were promptly seated. Within the first 5 minutes, we had three or four different servers taking drink orders, passing out menus, listing specials, etc. So far so good. I asked the second waiter what was included in the tastecard offer, and he explained that the entire menu (food only) was half off. Shortly thereafter, we had all decided on our starters and mains, and a third server came to take our order. I again stated that we had the tastecard, but this time got a very angry and rude response. He very sternly looked at us, said that the tastecard would not be accepted because we had not called ahead. Again, we looked around, and noticing that we were the only ones in the place, apologised but asked if he could make an exception as we did not realise that reservations were required. Additionally, I tried to explain that the previous server had already told us that the entire food menu was half off and did not mention that we could not use the card. At that point, this server interrupted me, took the menu out of our hands, said that we were very rude and that we could go somewhere else for dinner, but that next time we should call ahead, 'tastecard rules.' We very quickly got our bill, paid for our three beers, and mentioned that there would be no 'next time.' I cannot believe someone would treat customers this rudly, despite our mistake in not calling ahead. You would think, given their situation of almost always being empty, they would appreciate any and all business. I strongly recommend finding another place for Indian in Putney - there are plenty that serve excellent food with a smile :)

Modern, simple and stylish decor. Extensive menu with the usual favourites and some interesting specials. I had the lamb shank which was delicately spiced and beautifully tender. It was nice to fish dishes in the seafood section apart from prawns.

We've lived in the area for quite a while and have never come across this Restaurant.It's slightly off Putney High Street close to The Coat and Badge Pub (which we have frequented).We saw an offer via TopTable so decided to give it a go.We went on a Saturday night so it was quite busy but as it's quite a large Restaurant this was no problem.The meal we had was excellent (not huge portions which you sometimes get and can't eat) plus the wine - a Malbec - was surprisingly good quality.Often wine in Indian Restaurants tastes like rust remover.The best news was that it came (Inc gratuity)to £45 which for two people with a decent bottle of wine, inc starters and main course was fantastic value.We found the service good; attentive but not all over you like a cheap suit.We'd certainly go again as we couldn't fault the experience other than some tired and emotional customers who were a bit loud (but the Restaurant can't do much about this).It's quite close the loads of Buses, Putney Bridge Tube and SW Trains station (and Black Cabs of course).

We went to Samratt on a busy Saturday night in Putney. Given that all other restaurants were heaving we were a bit surprised to find this one almost empty- I suppose it is set off the main road a bit. Service was efficient but not particularly friendly; the food was &#039;takeaway&#039; quality but fine for the 50% off deal (and actually the naan breads were amazing really light and fluffy and tasty). No complaints for the price!

Discovered this restaurant thanks to a &quot;50% Off food bill&quot; offer. We were really impressed by the quality of food &amp; the original dishes on the menu. We went back following week to taste other specialties &amp; were very pleased again. Food is not oily like it can sometimes be. We loved the choice of fish and seafood. We&#039;ll definately keep the address &amp; return with friends!

My husband and I had a meal at Samratt on Sarurday evening. The food was delicious . I ordered salmon for a starter, but they didn&#039;t have it. I was recommended king prawn which was very nice. The main courses were very good and plentiful. Wine and beer list was resonable for a small restaurant. We had a very nice meal although could not finish most courses.

At samratt the food has always been excellent. The fact that the restaurant always looks empty shouldn&#039;t put anyone off. In fact I&#039;ve never understood why its not busier than it is? The 50% special offer is outstanding value.

The waiter customised dishes to accommodate an allergy and were attentive throughout the meal. We used the 50% off a la carte offer which made the food excellent value. The food was excellent and service acceptable, but disappointed that when we ordered they insisted that to get the Top Table offer of 50% off food, we MUST order two courses. There is no mention of this on the Top Table offer, nor on the confirmation sent by the restaurant. So I felt a bit cheated! Having said that food was excellent and I took away the two starters we didn&#039;t want to eat then.

We have ordered takeaway several times from this restaurant and have never been disappointed. Strangely despite the excellent food it often seems to be empty when you walk past it in the evenings. We decided instead of getting a takeaway to avail of a Top Table 50% off food offer to dine in mid-week. Despite being among a handful of diners in a sparse restaurant we weren&#039;t let down - the quality of the food was excellent and the service was exemplary. Ambiance was lacking but overall we were very happy to dine in here.

a bit disappointed but with the excellent 50% off food deal I really can&#039;t complain too much. Food fine though nothing spectacular - main disappointment was that despite the offer mentioned above, there was very little atmosphere - decor not particularly inspiring and the restaurant practically deserted at 7.30 on a Friday evening, when a different restaurant next door was absolutely packed. This might&#039;ve had something to do with the air-conditioning being ineffective or broken on a hot day. Still, cheap food with the deal.

The food at Samratt was fresh and lovely and decent portions, also the waiter was very polite and let us take our time choosing our meals. There were four of us, the mixed grill was nice lovely tender chicken, and my lamb dish was tastey, the jalrezi was hot but had a ncie taste to the sauce and the lamb korma wzs nice and mild for mild curry lovers. I will back soon..

At a loss as what to do on a Saturday evening, we had a quick scan on Top Table and Samratt came up on a 50% deal. It has a bright, modern interior and a wide ranging menu. The staff were attentive and friendly, and the food, which arrived quickly, was really delicious. The vegetable samosas in particular were some of the best I'd ever had. On the evening we went the restaurant was virtually empty which is such a shame. Unfortunately, though, tucked away on a residential street off Putney High Street you'd only visit if you already knew it was there or, as we did, you'd found it by a complete fluke.If you're in the area it's definitely worth a visit.

Had a good meal at the Samratt Indian in Putney. I&#039;ve been using this restaurant for 30 years. Service has always been good, and the food has varied from superb to ordinary, depending on the chef. At the moment it&#039;s near the top. Just one criticism, for an English palate the food could be hotter in temperature.

Glad I booked Potli in Hammersmith last night We arrived at 7 to a fairly clear restaurant, but quickly the place was full - v full! Since the refurb, the owners have squeezed in more tables - too many. The influx of people made things difficult for the staff and I can forgive them for getting the wine wrong, and for the starter/main course mode even after specifically being asked to bring all the food together - a) because the manager was on top form, and b) because the food was excellent.

It was very quiet and we were one of 3 tables, however the food was of an excellent standard! We all had delicious meals and will definitely go back
