Hi, We received a very poor service. We had to leave straightaway. We were a group of 9 people and we ordered quite a lot of food. When we asked for Tap Water, the person serving reacted saying ‘I’m not here to sell you tap water’ in a very rude manner and eventually refused and started arguing with us even though there was no reason to argue as we just asked for water which we expect to get in every restaurant. We had to walk out as we did not feel safe in that sort of an environment even though we had already placed the order.

I went to monsoon resturant last week, and I will not be returning ever again. Personally, this place shouldn't be serving food. We ordered the tandoori lamp chops, and it was very tough, couldn't even cut through it and was extremely chewy. It was so chewy we had to spit it out. The mains came and the butter chicken looked like vomit and tasted disgusting. The chicken tika masala was very sweet and the curry was very grainy. The lamb bhuna was very oily and bland. The best part of the meal was the tap water. When I tried to speak to the manager, he was very defensive and was making excuses for the poor food. He agreed his colleague made a mistake with the food they brought to us but didn't want to make any changes to the bill. Wasn't a good experience and as I said before, I will not be returning again.

Food quality was extremely poor, curries not blended enough and an unnecessary amount of sugar in the curries also. Garlic naan was nice and thick and the only saving grace

Been a while since I last went to Monsoon but I was very impressed with the food and the service was a little slow but nevertheless welcoming and professional. Definitely recommended

Food is good and service as well, just when we visited on Tuesday night, the restaurant was very busy. We arrived as party of 8. By luck table freed just before we got in, so after a few min of wait we were seated.

Used to order from monsoon, they was not that bad, however, ordered last night as nothing else was open, hoping it would be okay, the meat tasted absolutely disgusting, the sauce was bland, not one single taste sensation in there, just like water, chicken was the same, no taste whatsoever, extremely disappointed for the price paid, have made a promise to myself that no matter how bad things get I won't be ordering from monsoon again!

First time trying Indian food, since most places are with bad hygiene ratings. But this place looks amazing, and clean, food that good that I’m eating from them 4 days in a row definitely recommends giving it a go.

Great food, good service, nice atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful, nothing too much trouble. We have visited Monsoon several times now. Would definitely recommend

Placed delivery order at 6 50 told a hour ok fine. Hour and half later called back got told order on way. Again ok fine called back again 2 hours later to be told they havnt even got my order🙄been using this place for years. To say dissatisfied dosnt come close. Got offered free naan and bajiis like really. ???? Will not be going back to them in a hurry totally disappointed ☹️

Terrible people! Ordered with them for some time and they don’t deliver my order within 2 hours. I ask for a discount and they refused and became very nasty! Never booking with them again, which is a shame because usually very good

Used to provide Rice with Dhansak. Don't any more yet charge the same, food also doesn't taste as good as before so won't be returning

This place is a hidden gem. Not far from Hainault station near the end of parade of shops it could be easily missed. The menu has such a great selection of dishes but no matter what you choose the food is always absolutely beautiful. The staff are always extremely polite and friendly and the service is second to none. My wife and I brought my parents there last night and they enjoyed it so much I had a call this morning from them to thank us for such a great experience. We will soon be moving from the local area but we will definitely be making trips back just to visit Monsoon.

Really nice food and service. I have ordered takeaway from here many times and during 'dine out to help out' we ate here twice. The restaurant isn't that big and one word of warning to anyone wanting to go who has a baby..take your pushchair with you! The one thing that let this restaurant down was that they only have one highchair..I think it would be beneficial to them to invest in at least one more. The first evening we ate there someone else was using the highchair so I had to eat with my baby on my lap..such a shame because the food was amazing but I struggled to enjoy it that day. Second time we went the highchair was available so the meal went more smoothly. Definitely try the restaurant as they make delicious fresh food. The onion bhajis were so soft and tasty!!

Not a good place for tasty Indian food. I was expecting after reading the reviews but highly disappointed. The Tandoori dishes was only hot 🔥 but not spicy and tasty. I don't recommend, if you want to taste a good Indian food.

Tonight was the first time we had a takeaway from Monsoon and we weren’t disappointed. The food was excellent and really delicious. Helpful and polite service and great advice on dishes. The food was hot and well transported and we thoroughly enjoyed every dish. We highly recommend Monsoon and will be making this our new favourite takeaway. Thank you very much - it was a tasty and we look forward to the next time we order 👍

Lovely food, waiters are pleasant. However, the decor and layout needs adjusting and the dining area was chilled, could do with a little heating in the colder months.

Half the food was cold and I’m sure the chicken had been on a diet. Very disappointed overall, will not be getting any food from there again. Will be using Sharon at Barkingside in the future, the food is always good there.

It was Monday and we arrived not long after 18:30hrs so it was not packed. In fact, we were the only two customers there and this was still the case when we left after 20:00hrs My knife was dirty before I started, as was one of the serving dishes. The heating was poor, leaving my girlfriend shivering as it was below freezing outside. The waiter was pacing up and down sporadically for the entire duration of our stay and, whilst he wasn't pacing, he appeared to be earwigging our conversation, which was off-putting, to say the least. After all this, you would at least expect the food to be of a reasonable standard but you would be disappointed. I had two side dishes, aloo gobi and brinjal bhajee, both of which were bland and spice free. My girlfriend liked her Chicken Korma, which she said was also spice free (but that's the way she likes it), the tandoori roti wasn't up to much but the pilau rice was ok. If the place has any redeeming features, it was a reasonable price and the gent's toilet was clean apart from the stale urine in the toilet bowl. Not recommended.

The place is very nice with a good ambiental music. The service and food was great. Jay was absolutly fabulose and very polite. Will be back again for sure.

Popped in after work tonight. Lovely meal as usual. A great customer service. Always made to feel very welcome.

Looks like it is the only Indian restaurant in the area and almost fully booked. We were fortunate to get the last two seats. Food was average. Service was good.

This place was great long time ago when customer service was priority. Now it's just typical Indian food place, and some waiters do not even speak English. Used to be a great 5* star place... Whatever happened to it?

Not sure what to say really, disappointed doesn't really cover the poor experience this evening. Waited over an hour for our starters, then had to wait again for the main course. No apologies or explanation. When asking to speak to the manager the attitude of the waiter was appalling. The manager failed to show his face. Big fail this evening will definitely NOT be returning

Have been using this curry house since 1989.flock wallpaper to present.have just returned from an evening of ten people. Sat down at 6.30 pm had to summon staff to get a drink, service very very slow ,food small portions not very filling.asked for bill nearly had to pay for what used to be a complementery drink. Left at 9.30 to long waiting between courses staff not attentive enough got charged for poppadoms and dips free in other restaurants will not set foot in here again a shame as food is nice.

Always outstanding service and food. All waiters are professional and very friendly. Food is delicious and reasonably priced, only indian restaurant we would eat at now, definetely a cut above the rest :-)

"One of the best” 23 Apr 2012 I have eaten here a few times and would return, the waiters will go through the menu with you specially Alam who can explain all the meals and what's in them, food is exultant and well presented. Not your usual curry house ,more authentic of what they really eat.
