Came here with my son for a lamb curry and 2 roti's, As we were consuming the food I noticed a large hair out of the lamb curry which was completely off putting and I made complaint to the staff member but was unable to assist me and demanded I payed for the one roti which has been consumed poor customer service and low mentality. No customer values which has surprised me and won’t be going back there again… I seriously believe the local authorities should re review the hygiene standards for this restaurant totally unacceptable as it will be on cctv.

Closest resturant to home cooked punjabi food. Harman & Anchal always greet you with a smile and make the most lovely parante. Highly recommend the Saag & Aloo Gobhi as well.

Today, my friend and I visited Kulcha Express because we genuinely enjoy their food. There’s no doubt that the food is delicious. After our meal, we ordered masala tea. However, we had to wait a long time, and when we asked a staff member about the delay, he responded, “It’s ready, sir.” This happened two or three times. Frustrated, we asked to cancel the tea if it wasn’t ready, but he refused to cancel the order. When we went to pay the bill, we noticed he had just entered our tea order into the system. When we questioned him about this, he started making excuses instead of addressing the issue. A staff member later came and she resolved the situation, apologizing on behalf of the boy . Unfortunately, the staff member we initially dealt with never apologized. I strongly suggest that the management at Kulcha Express provide proper training to this staff member on how to handle customers and resolve issues respectfully. Poor customer service like this can lead to dissatisfied customers, wasting their time and money, and ultimately harm the reputation of Kulcha Express. Thank you.

I can't speak to the quality of the food, but I had a disappointing experience with the staff. I was passing by and asked to use the restroom because I was in a hurry. They told me it's only available for customers. While I understand it's their policy, the way it was communicated felt unkind and unaccommodating. I expected a bit more compassion in a situation like that.

Delicious Indian food full of flavour, service was a bit mediocre, the same song always played in succession. They had just opened and had to wait a while for food, but this was neatly reported to the waiter. Everything else was fine.

Worst service you could expect,gone downhill,staff arguing with customers. Never again. .

The food was very tasty with a nice desi flavor, and we really enjoyed it. It was so delicious! But the service was a little slow. If the service gets faster, the experience would be even better.

This place has ok food but the some staff members are horrible. One of the staff members came to take our order and we ordered different kulcha plates and parathas. One of my friends requested to replace bundi raita with just plain yogurt because he doesn’t like bundi raita. The waiter said, ‘Hum aisa nahi kar sakte sir. Jo thali me hai wahi ayega’ and made us order plain yogurt separately worth more than £3. We were still ok with that and went on to order other items. One of our orders was paneer paratha. I requested to add onions as well in paratha and his answer was again same saying hum aisa nahi kar sakte. This is astounding as you can’t even make small adjustments for the customers. We didn’t ask for something strange. This particular staff member doesn’t understand hospitality and customer service. We got up and went to another restaurant where they listen to the customers and stress on amazing customer service. This place felt like eat what we are giving you or leave as if we are asking for free food and not paying a single penny for it. This same staff I remember last time also denied to provide a small box to carry my leftover paratha. He provided a paper bag and I tried to make him understand, this paper bag is going soak whole butter so if he could provide a box or wrap it in aluminium foil wrap but he had said hum aise hi dete hai kuch aur nahi de sakte. I was pissed that time too but ignored. Not worth spending money and time here. One of my worst experiences.

I recently visited Kulcha Express and was thoroughly disappointed with the experience. The food lacked flavor, freshness, and authenticity. What should have been a comforting, flavorful meal turned out bland and underwhelming. The kulchas were dry, the fillings tasted off, and the overall presentation felt careless. Definitely not worth the price or the hype. I won’t be coming back.

Very bad experience in this place.. we felt like insult only because we took coffee from outside and came here for food.. staff member said straight away without showing some respect ouside drinks not allowed . we just ran away neven felt insult like this before zero hospitality. we believed there are some restrictions everywhere but staff have to deal in good way not bad way.

It was written on the notes to deliver at my door step. Driver called me to come downstairs and and refused to deliver food at my door. I insisted that it would not be possible to come as I have a baby and no one is at home. He answered that he does not care and will leave without giving me the food. I had to go downstairs with my baby in the cold.I expected some kind of humanity from the driver.

Been looking for a great authentic Punjabi kulcha / aloo paratha place for while. This place specialises in it. Tasty, and a whole thali (plate) costs less than a tenner. Can’t beat that. Lots of butter on the kulcha - just the way it should be! Very much recommend !

Today I visit kulcha express Ilford with my wife to celebrate new year and it was I really great experience for me. This is the first time I visit there I really thanks to my friend who recommend me to go kulcha express. Food was very delicious well service was also great 👍.

I took food from them and i found one large stone in my food . I was too had also where i eat my food was broken . After that i found that it was a stone and also a large stone that may be broke my teeth if i am not aware from that . So i am so upset with their service today . I was a bad experience all i can say that. If i confront them no one can take responsibility i had proper picture . They never even guilty for that in case if this stone stuck in my throat than who is responsible for that so now i am never come to this place again . And i never recommend this i need my money back which i spend on this food or to close their food Restaurant permanently from now onward please. When we confront their mistake to them than they rudely behave with us and they said oh we have another booking i think you should leave now because you might be finished your food now which is not expected from them their staff does not have a sense that how to decent talk with customers they do not want to show their mistake in front of the other customers that why they said just go now in a rude manner so never expect this from them . 1 star is already too much. I ordered a Paneer Kulcha....the chana was hard it was not cooked fully also they either used rubbish store bought paneer or used mozzarella to make the Kulcha. Very Disappointed....Please do NOT GO TO KUCHA EXPRESS. Also when I raised the issue with the waitress she doubled back on me....shocking!!

Chicken tikka was very bland and kebabs didn’t taste right half of them were rubbery. The saag was probably the best I’ve had you can’t fault kulcha express on their vegetarian food always good

Today I ordered a big order like chapti dal makhni karahi paneer malai kofta but i am very disappointed to this order I received a half cooked chapati and after receiving the order I call the kulcha staff management but they didn’t give a positive response to me I am very disappointed to this ordered today.

After eating their food I had very bad stomach pain and vomiting 🤮. I don’t think that the food was fresh. I not gonna try it again. Worst experience ever.

Hi....all dishes that I order was quite amazing and delicious Considering the fresh ingredients and flavorful dishes, you really get more than what you pay for. Highly recommended for those who want a quality meal without breaking the bank.

If you order paneer bhurji be prepared to get the very hard taste of trumeric only. I asked them to taste it one of the colleague started saying this how i had served more than 20 plus dishes today.

Authentic Punjabi flavours and friendly service. Service might feel a bit tardy but it takes time if the food is to be prepared freshly. Ambience, neither here nor there, could have been made more authentic without spending too much on it. The look does somewhat of a disservice to what's on offer.

Today I visited here. I try Veggie wrap & Mixed kulcha and both are very very tasty & yummy. As well as service are very good & professional. I never got these taste in india also. Please guys try and visited here.

Best ever experience as the food over here is deliciois and its worth eating over there. Staff overe there is very friendly and helpful and service is awesome as you don’t have to wait long for your order to get served. Its highly recommended for punjabi food. If someone really miss home made food then must visit kulcha express.

I tried their Paneer Kulcha and Aloo Pyaz Kulcha – both were absolutely delicious! The kulchas were perfectly cooked with just the right balance of flavors. Special mention to Harman, who attended us and made the dining experience even better with her excellent customer service. Her friendly attitude and attentiveness added a lot to the overall experience. Highly recommended!

I have had food here many times and mostly take away. This time the food was bad including the kulcha Thalis, a bit disappointed with the quality. The channa were bit hard and the packaging has changed in terms of take away. Not sure but I guess there is a change in chef. I would return after few months hoping they have got more such feedbacks and they can improve their food.

They used to serve onions and pickles separately, which made the meal enjoyable. Now, they mix everything with the kulcha, ruining the taste and experience. Avoid sending hot curries in single use plastic

We ordered couple of Amritsari Paneer Kulcha thali’s and 3 separate Kulcha’s. Kulcha’s were good but smaller in size compared to my previous visits. Chole was really not up to the mark in taste. It was disappointing. They were on the verge of being spoiled. Another night and we could have guaranteed it will be spoiled by morning. Besides, service is slow.

As a regular customer at Kulcha Express in Ilford, I can confidently say that this place consistently delivers on quality and service. The food is always delicious, with authentic flavors that never disappoint. What really sets this restaurant apart, though, is the exceptional service. Miss Aanchal, in particular, deserves special mention—she's always polite, humble, and incredibly welcoming, making every visit a pleasure. While the food is fantastic, I do feel that the alcoholic drinks are a bit overpriced. However, the overall experience more than makes up for it. Kulcha Express remains my go-to spot for a satisfying meal in Ilford.

Proper desi vibes. Simple but focused on food. Nice place to just stop by, eat and go. Don't expect five star restaurant service, that's not what it's about (in my view). It's rootsy, down to earth, takes you back home to punjab. Hard to find authentic punjabi food in London. Happy I stumbled upon Kulcha. The Chana Bhatura was a delight!

I bought motichur laddu and found it very bad quality. Even I complaint about this however no respond from kulcha express. I would suggest never buy any sweet from kulcha express ilford branch. It pathetic.

Food is always great. The new packaging for takeaways is a lot more convenient to access and food does appear to hidden behind a vault. The chana is definitely their highlight and they always get it right in all the Kulcha Dishes and the Cholle Bhature was very enjoyable. Love the raita they make. Aloo Tikki was great too.
