Kulcha Express in Redbridge

Service is friendly and quick, and the staff are great to deal with. The food can be a bit hit and miss at this particular branch of Kulcha Express. Sometimes it's great, other times not so. Kulcha Express is great, but this one needs more consistency with their food.

We have visited first time here today. Food was Very nice and authentic taste.. We have enjoyed our meal. Service was very polite and good too. Ambiance could have been better.

Today I ordered a big order like chapti dal makhni karahi paneer malai kofta but i am very disappointed to this order I received a half cooked chapati and after receiving the order I call the kulcha staff management but they didn’t give a positive response to me I am very disappointed to this ordered today.

It’s totally unhygienic the food was not cooked properly and it wasn’t even cooked properly i have called them many times but they don’t give a satisfactory response no taste it’s totally money waste

Hi....all dishes that I order was quite amazing and delicious Considering the fresh ingredients and flavorful dishes, you really get more than what you pay for. Highly recommended for those who want a quality meal without breaking the bank.

After eating their food I had very bad stomach pain and vomiting 🤮. I don’t think that the food was fresh. I not gonna try it again. Worst experience ever.

Tasty Indian food and good staff

If you order paneer bhurji be prepared to get the very hard taste of trumeric only. I asked them to taste it one of the colleague started saying this how i had served more than 20 plus dishes today.

Authentic Punjabi flavours and friendly service. Service might feel a bit tardy but it takes time if the food is to be prepared freshly. Ambience, neither here nor there, could have been made more authentic without spending too much on it. The look does somewhat of a disservice to what's on offer.

Today I visited here. I try Veggie wrap & Mixed kulcha and both are very very tasty & yummy. As well as service are very good & professional. I never got these taste in india also. Please guys try and visited here.

Best ever experience as the food over here is deliciois and its worth eating over there. Staff overe there is very friendly and helpful and service is awesome as you don’t have to wait long for your order to get served. Its highly recommended for punjabi food. If someone really miss home made food then must visit kulcha express.

Food was bit oily but tasty. If you are not health conscious person definitely give it a try. Staff is very good. Specially Harman, She is really good and knows the basics of customer service that is sweet and on the point.

I tried their Paneer Kulcha and Aloo Pyaz Kulcha – both were absolutely delicious! The kulchas were perfectly cooked with just the right balance of flavors. Special mention to Harman, who attended us and made the dining experience even better with her excellent customer service. Her friendly attitude and attentiveness added a lot to the overall experience. Highly recommended!

I have had food here many times and mostly take away. This time the food was bad including the kulcha Thalis, a bit disappointed with the quality. The channa were bit hard and the packaging has changed in terms of take away. Not sure but I guess there is a change in chef. I would return after few months hoping they have got more such feedbacks and they can improve their food.

Extremely disappointed with the decline in standards at Kulcha Express. The food quality and quantity have gone downhill with each order. They used to serve onions and pickles separately, which made the meal enjoyable. Now, they mix everything with the kulcha, ruining the taste and experience. It’s really frustrating to see such a drop in care and quality. I won’t be ordering again."

Avoid sending hot curries in single use plastic

We ordered couple of Amritsari Paneer Kulcha thali’s and 3 separate Kulcha’s. Kulcha’s were good but smaller in size compared to my previous visits. Chole was really not up to the mark in taste. It was disappointing. They were on the verge of being spoiled. Another night and we could have guaranteed it will be spoiled by morning. Besides, service is slow.

As a regular customer at Kulcha Express in Ilford, I can confidently say that this place consistently delivers on quality and service. The food is always delicious, with authentic flavors that never disappoint. What really sets this restaurant apart, though, is the exceptional service. Miss Aanchal, in particular, deserves special mention—she's always polite, humble, and incredibly welcoming, making every visit a pleasure. While the food is fantastic, I do feel that the alcoholic drinks are a bit overpriced. However, the overall experience more than makes up for it. Kulcha Express remains my go-to spot for a satisfying meal in Ilford.

Proper desi vibes. Simple but focused on food. Nice place to just stop by, eat and go. Don't expect five star restaurant service, that's not what it's about (in my view). It's rootsy, down to earth, takes you back home to punjab. Hard to find authentic punjabi food in London. Happy I stumbled upon Kulcha. The Chana Bhatura was a delight!

I bought motichur laddu and found it very bad quality. Even I complaint about this however no respond from kulcha express. I would suggest never buy any sweet from kulcha express ilford branch. It pathetic.

Food is always great. The new packaging for takeaways is a lot more convenient to access and food does appear to hidden behind a vault. The chana is definitely their highlight and they always get it right in all the Kulcha Dishes and the Cholle Bhature was very enjoyable. Love the raita they make. Aloo Tikki was great too. There was offer on if we spend they will send a sweet with the order but they didn’t send anything

Excellent food, we found everything delicious! We were a party of 5 (4 adults and a toddler) coming from France. Communication was a bit tough given the difference of language and the noise, but the staff was very friendly and eager to accommodate our dietary restrictions. They checked several time to make sure our meal was indeed dairy-free. There was a slight misunderstanding and I personnally did not get a meal, but I don't blame the staff, as I believe I did not understand everything. I did not mention it as I ended up sharing with the rest of my party and I had enough to eat with that after all. The place was a bit noisy, but that's the only downside I found. I strongly recommend.

we have ordered Pav Bhaji and Pav wasn't there in the order. we called restaurant and they asked us to call Justeat.

Ordered Karahi paneer and it was just very strong tarka with bits of paneer. All I could taste was strong masalas. Tasted nothing like karahi paneer. Paneer wrap was average. It wasn’t fresh.

Today I visit kulcha express illford with my family to celebrate my son birthday and it was a really nice experience due to having mesmerizing environment over there. Staff is very cooperation and I really enjoy chicken tikka and Amritsari kulcha.

I am not very fond of Kulcha express, but some of my friends are. And every time I wanna give a chance, I regret. Why do you give burnt parathas?? And the same burnt paratha have the middle portion uncooked. 2 out of 3 times, I had the same experience.

Someone recommended us saying you get similar Chole Bhature as Delhi. But trust me this is nowhere close to that. Plus it is on the expensive side as well. Definitely not worth the money

What a place ! What a food ! Very good and polite staff Harvinder! I asked his recommendation as I was here the first time. He was very helpful. A true asset to this homely food restaurant. I enjoyed every bite of my food. I have the classic Amritsar Chana Masala thali with Aloo piaz Kulcha. Finished with Punjabi Samosa and Karak Chaii. Mazaa! Aa gaya! Lastly I would appreciate if the Restaurant can also make a small menu for halal non veg food as well so everyone can enjoy their delicious food.

I really enjoyed an evening at Kulcha Express, Ilford. I had Saag and mucki de roti. It was delicious, the same standard as my mum's cooking! 😋 The food was hot, the portions were generous, and the service was excellent. I will definitely go back there.

The food here taste so good ! Very authentic also the waiter and waitresses are very helpful and patient . The place is small so finding table can be a wait outside the restaurant while a table gets free . I’ve tried their chaats, parathas thali (mixed paratha, gobi , paneer ) they all are equally tasty and mango lassi 5 out of 5. Food on the menu are priced reasonably too! I’ve now visited this place over 5 times and travelled from far whenever I craved for kulchas I am so happy with the menu change at Kulcha express they also now serve non veg ! And as always best service . Deep served us and he was very kind ; really appreciated the good service

Very polite and humble staff like Harbindar and Anchal, the smile on their face while attending customers makes such a huge difference to the overall experience on top of delicious food. The food is incredible and reminds me of the authentic Punjabi food back home. I have taken friends and family here several times and everyone loves this place.

This place is now no longer vegetarian and the meat served is halal. There are no signs or anything on the menu making people aware its halal. As a Sikh I don't eat halal meat and if its halal it should be explicitly displayed to the customer.

not the restaurant fault. they prepared the meal on time, but the driver picked it up and went the opposite direction from my house. showed up over 30 minutes later with the food.

Shoutout our girl anchal who served us. Deep helped us choose the dishes (which were delicious btw) and made sure we enjoyed ourselves. Food came quickly & was so tasty. Kulcha express food was very tasteless and not flavourful in any way as the food was either undercooked or not well prepared. The service was very fast but there was no cutlery placed or given to the table but overall the atmosphere was okay in a way but kulcha express I would say is overall an so so okay restaurant

Food was great as always but the packaging was difficult to open, the plastic wrap on the kulchas was very hard and messy to peel off.

We went there twice, and both of the time we were disappointed. In the first instance, we were charged for 2 items which we ordered, but they never delivered when we confronted they accepted thier mistake after 2hrs of argument. On the second visit, we ordered thali and there was no salt in any of the food.
