The best restaurants serving Indian food in Harpur Bedford East of England

Absolutely fantastic food and service and on top of it all, really well priced. This isn't what I would call your standard Indian with the same old things on the menu and offers you a different experience to the norm. Excellent!

the food tasted delicious, i had the masala (main) and chicken on a skewer (starter). this happened on a thursday evening. from friday morning it all went downhill and i became incredible ill for over a week and a half with h pylori which gave me gastritis (search it up, it’s not delightful). can’t ever go back there and wouldn’t wish that on anyone. when i look back the chicken had a bit of pink in it but because it was covered in sauce i didn’t think anything of it. don’t get me wrong it tasted great but the ends did not justify the means. i’ve never had food poisoning before, and i never want to again which is why i won’t be going back to this restaurant😂

I was really disappointed by my experience with Indiya, as I’ve previously eaten in the restaurant & had a better experience. On this occasion it took over 2 hours to receive my food and the quality of the food was average. To top it off, the delivery driver couldn’t find my home, despite me writing really detailed instructions, so I had to disrupt my child’s bedtime routine to go outside to flag him down. I was given £5 off my order as a goodwill gesture but it has put me off ordering again.

Food was not very good at all ,we ordered 2 chicken dishes and in both ( the chicken was dry,it seems like it had lamb in it and something that had no taste at all

Solo se detuvo durante la noche en Bedford de camino a Londres y fue al pub Devonshire donde la joven que servía dijo que había escuchado buenos informes sobre el restaurante. No decepcionó la comida era tan buena como cualquier indio que he tenido. El servicio del personal fue excelente. Una bienvenida amable cuando llegamos y un buen ambiente.

I dined here with my friends for a meal, and the service was excellent! The manager, waitresses as well as other staff were very friendly. The music and vibe was really delightful, very relaxing. I have been to many Indian restaurants and might I say Alamin Tandori was by far my favourite. The food was really flavourful. It was finger-licking good! As well as the desserts. The prices are very reasonable as well! I highly recommend this restaurant!

My dining experience at grand India restaurant was truly exceptional welcoming atmosphere very friendly staff very smart decor, I loved the little booth which was very comfortable to sit in with privacy , I had sheek kabab and for main chicken tikka jalfryzi with basmati rice and it was delicious, highly recommended.

My favourite curry venue for over 50 years. Simply irreplaceable. It was the scene and setting for so many life events which were made, measured out and captured here. It's like losing an old friend. I wish you all well.

We have been to The Cochin restaurant and had a perfect meal tonight. Food was delicious. Staff were super friendly and polite. My personal favourite is Sea food platter. I would love to have this again. One of the best Indian restaurants in Bedford

Ordered from kerla spices, the food was overpriced for the quantity given.

I waited 20 minutes for one piece of chicken and chips, and it was awful. The chicken is kept on the ground in a bucket, and the chicken tastes like fish…and to make matters worse it was PINK on the inside. Majority of the fries were stale, and overall the experience was horrible. Do not recommend, just go to dixie’s right next to it!!

Food is average. Service is good and staff are friendly however the food is a massive let down!! Won't be back
