The best restaurants serving Indian food in Harpur Bedford East of England

Was told i'd have to wait for a table for a short while, as the place was really busy, which was fine, i've been here before and knew what to expect... and yet again, didn't dissapoint... butter chicken is an absolute smashing dish, top-class, couldn't reccomend anyome, me and the missus both agree... friendly staff, even though they seemed REALLY busy.

The butter chicken was too light in colour and lacked flavour. The other curries were also tasteless . Ive tried this place twice now and it’s the same story.

We have been coming here for years with our friend Chris.. we came tonight for our annual festive meal and really enjoyed our evening ... food was lovely as was the atmosphere and the friendly and quick service from the staff ... see you again soon !!

1st visit to Indian summer the decor is clean fresh, nice dining booths and dining tables. The staff all smiles and friendly greeting even a bit of banter on the football game tomorrow. Drinks arrived pretty quick and we ordered poppadoms whilst deciding what to order for the mains. Well I must say the food was excellent everyone commented on how nice the food was as we all ordered differently from each other. If I visit Bedford again I will dine at Indian summer for sure.

Buena comida. Originalmente teníamos la intención de comer como lo hicimos hace un par de meses, pero pensamos que habíamos dejado demasiado tarde para reservar así que ordenó una comida para llevar. De hecho, había mesas disponibles, así que cualquiera que lea esto, trate de reservar no importa lo tarde que crea que lo ha dejado. La otra cara es que las comidas para llevar también son sobresalientes y no tuve que caminar mucho para llegar al sofá después! Hemos tenido dos cenas y dos comidas para llevar en los últimos meses, Royal Gurkha nunca pierde un ritmo. Gracias por la comida encantadora y Kailash lució increíble en uniforme completo de Gurkha en honor al inminente Domingo de Recuerdo. I dined here with my friends for a meal, and the service was excellent! The manager, waitresses as well as other staff were very friendly. The music and vibe was really delightful, very relaxing. I have been to many Indian restaurants and might I say Alamin Tandori was by far my favourite. The food was really flavourful. It was finger-licking good! As well as the desserts. The prices are very reasonable as well! I highly recommend this restaurant!

Food was stale, pakora batter was old. Overall food was maybe a few days cold meat was very rubbery.

My favourite curry venue for over 50 years. Simply irreplaceable. It was the scene and setting for so many life events which were made, measured out and captured here. It's like losing an old friend. I wish you all well.

Always great food, not your regular "indian" so don't expect naan and chicken madras, but wonderful south Indian food. Dosa a must, and fish curries are great. Also good value and helpful staff.

Loved it. Sometimes I think we order a lot so an extra poppadoms would be nice but honestly, the food and service is amazing. Highly recommend!

Food was not great, biryani was burnt

Was driving by and seen my freind outside the shop! He said he just started there 3 days ago! He worked about half a decade in another kebab shop so I knew the quality was going to be 10/10 I asked my freind what he recommended and he said chicken tikka kebab. Wow it was just delicious. You can see the chef make the naan bread in front of you and its really nice and soft. The chicken tikka was really tasty. Only problem was when I got home everyone wanted a piece. So next time ordering the mega kebab

Food is average. Service is good and staff are friendly however the food is a massive let down!! Won't be back
