The best restaurants serving Indian food in England

This was a first visit for me and my partner with our friends who have been here many times. All I can say is that from start to finish it was first class, no fuss, no messing around, good service and good food. The restaurant was always full and I could see a regular amount of take away food also going out the door and a good amount of people collecting. I would say there were at least 10 to 12 staff, the restaurant was clean and tidy and well presented. We didn't wait long at all for drinks and food and our table was cleared quickly but not feeling pressured at anytime. Taking into consideration staffing, overheads etc, it can never be difficult to understand that the owners will need bums on seats to maintain what we experienced on Saturday night. The menu is large and interesting. The quality of the meals is what one would expect for the prices charged. The starters and mains are enjoyable enough..but nothing special. The staff are friendly and there is plenty of seating.

Outstanding service, amazing food and friendly staff who can’t do enough for you. We are so thankful to have this restaurant in our local area.

Always choose Doubletree for a curry whilst in Altrincham. Great food great service and friendly staff.

We had a disastrous meal last night from dine BanglaScunthorpe We always used them up to around a year ago when we found the service and food had gone down many of our friends thought the same we ordered a delivery and it came in good time👍however it was missing a salmon shashlick so we rang up and spoke to a lady who finally found our order and said they would bring us one this took around 45 minutes to come but as it was new year we accepted it so we finally got to serve up the meals and it wasn't a salmon shashlick it was chicken so this didn't get eaten as the salmons were for vegetarians. Not happy again with dine bangla won't be using again

Chicken Korma and Naan - both excellent. Chicken was tender, sauce was rich, creamy and full of flavour. Really can’t go wrong with Shurovi’s !

No arrival we were meet by a member of staff with poor attitude & rude. This followed by poor service waiting 45 minutes for food which was literally thrown on the table. Then 35 minutes for the bill. We will not be going again or ordering from there again.

Zumbura is an excellent fusion Indian in Clapham Old Town, close to Clapham Common. The menu is great with lots of choice and some unique dishes. The restaurant has a good set-up with a very nice bar. All this and the prices are very good also. Go visit!

Excellent Christmas Day lunch, set menu but plenty to choose from, good service and atmosphere. Also very reasonably priced for a Christmas Day.

It ok not to bad for the price you pay

We recently hosted a party at this amazing restaurant, and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish! The staff were incredibly professional, friendly, and welcoming, ensuring every detail was taken care of with such warmth and efficiency. The food was absolutely delicious—undoubtedly the best Indian cuisine we’ve had. Every dish was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and enjoyed by all our guests. Such a shame that Charlie is giving up. Have enjoyed his food for 30 years in harpenden then Aston Clinton. It has always been good. I understand Charlie's brother may continue in the kitchen for a while, as a handover to the new owner. I hope the new restaurant will be supported as good chinese restaurants are far and few between.

Always enjoy good quality food from Chat House - recommend chicken dansak, lamb biryani and garlic naan 👍

We had a variety of dishes and all were really good.
