The best restaurants serving French food in Yorkshire and The Humber

10/10 restaurant, lovely decor and very spacious, lovely to sit on the balcony in the sunshine. Food was amazing, well priced and catered to all dietary needs / preferences. Service was also excellent, so friendly and catering, polite, all staff very well mannered. Will 100% be coming back and also recommending it to all I know!

We’ve visited a couple of times after a friend close to Garforth recommended the place. It gets very busy at the weekend so I recommend coming midweek or getting here early! It’s a sweet little shop in an unsuspecting area, next to the leisure centre. There are a big range of treats on offer with savoury and sweet pastries, and lots of gorgeous cakes and tarts. At Easter there were lots of eggs on sale too. You can buy a lot of the good stuff from the counter: the first time we went I ordered a mini chocolate mousse cake and it was absolutely to die for. Melt in the mouth and the silkiest creamiest mousse. It was so good I ordered a birthday cake for my husband. This was the “origine” cake which is layers of dark and milk chocolate cake and mousse. We were blown away by this - it was rich and creamy and more like a dessert than a cake. It went down extremely well. I ordered a medium which was about 6-8 portions; it’s very rich so you don’t need big slices. I think this will be a new go-to for birthdays for us, we couldn’t get enough of it and the ordering process was simple and easy. It was such a wonderful treat to be able to order such a high quality cake here in Leeds and was worth the 25 minute drive from the other side of the ring road. Actually, for that cake I think I would happily walk over hot coals the whole way just to get another slice. Beautifully presented and made with f great care. They also run cookery school sessions if you get a group together, which is something we might try in the future. Can’t wait to come back.

Highly recommend. The food was delicious and the staff were super friendly and attentive. Everything was so fresh and tasty. I shall return as the meal was excellent value.

We visited midweek and what a pleasure it was. The food was exquisite and not at all expensive. Excellent service and beautiful surroundings too.

So glad to have found this gem. Bought a small rye loaf, raspberry cake & a sweet bread filled with blueberries & drizzled on top with icing which perfectly offset the tartness of the blueberries. The raspberry cake was absolutely amazing. The bread was somply great, my only regret is that I didn't buy the bigger size! Looking forward to my next visit 🙂

Was staying locally and popped in on a Sunday morning for breakfast. The graffiti/street art exterior belies the fact this is a calm, peaceful local cafe. Crepes and waffles seem to be their thing but my avocado brunch was superb.

Nos encontramos con el restaurante simplemente por un paseo, parecía un buen lugar para comer y tomar una copa tranquila, así que reservamos la cena. Particularmente quería un asiento de ventana arriba (buena sensación gastronómica) sobre mirar el puerto (abajo tiene buenas vistas también) así que reservado para las 5 pm para garantizar un asiento de ventana. El personal era amable y muy servicial, realmente disfrutamos de la comida, especialmente las ostras y los mejillones, presentados maravillosamente. No podía faltar, el precio era bueno, la comida era buena, gran vista, tiene una buena sensación gastronómica si te gusta una buena experiencia gastronómica. .

We had the ribeye steak and one of the burgers and it was INSANELY good!! Can't believe how reasonable the price is for such fantastic quality food. Service was fab, they were friendly and chatty and accommodated any requests with the meals. Can't wait to go back soon and try more items on the menu. Definitely a hidden gem in Sheffield!

Great vegan pastries and great prices

Dejamos a nuestro hijo en casa de la abuela y pensamos que conseguiríamos un curry. Este es nuestro restaurante favorito. El personal te hace sentir como en familia. La comida siempre es de primera calidad, hecha con amor y pasión. Todos los que entran son recibidos tan encantadores. Tiene una sensación familiar muy encantadora. No puedo esperar a volver en unas semanas.

More than a novelty.. Somewhere to ovsit take in the view and warm up! These experiences make travel what it should be. Random food like French biscuits and cassoulet!

Tuvimos una comida increíble aquí el Domingo de Pascua. El personal era profesional, atento y bien informado sobre el menú y las bebidas, el lugar extremadamente atractivo, limpio y acogedor, y la comida increíble. Un verdadero mérito a los propietarios y chef, nuestra experiencia no podría haber sido mejor y sin duda volveremos cuando sea la próxima vuelta! Para lo que teníamos era muy valioso también. No dudaría en recomendar.

‘Nolas’ is a beautiful restaurant with fantastic food . My husband and myself first discovered it last year whilst on holiday and this year on holiday we came with our two friends who had both celebrated their 70th birthdays , and we wanted to bring them somewhere special to eat . They like us loved it too ❤️. ‘Nolas’ has a fab ambience and the staff are just so lovely and helpful. ‘Nolas’ is well worth visiting if you are ever in York.
