Went here for a crepe. There were plenty fillings to pick from. They also put plenty filling in the crepe. It was tasty. Didn’t have to wait long. Would recommend.

Absolutely delicious galette with pulled pork. Needed it to be GF which it was by default and staff knew that the filling was also GF. So here’s a cautionary note - we had a photo of my wife & I hovering ready to dive in which I did, with abandon, and cut my lip on the crispy edge of the wrap. We were having a stop over in York on our way back from Scotland to Cambridge and looking for a place for a late lunch on Sat 4 Nov. We spotted this lovely street food stall in the Shambles area of York and were drawn in by the delicious menu and extremely friendly staff. One of us needed a meal without gluten, dairy or egg and the young lady was helpful with the menu choices and there are no problems at all! We had savoury galettes with different fillings and they were hot, fresh and absolutely delicious! The next day, Sun 5 Nov we returned there again for breakfast! The young man attending to us was fun, friendly and helpful and this time we had the sweet options which were just as delicious. Thanks for such a great service all of you. We definitely recommend and will return on our next visit to York. Fantastic!

Probably the best street food gluten free galettes you’ll find whether you want a savoury Complet (ham, cheese, egg and so much more) or a sweet Strudel (apple based). The team have a good knowledge of gluten free and offer advice on best options. More important the food tastes awesome, the team are always happy (well they look happy) and have a great sense of humour.

I've eaten a lot of galettes and crepes in my life- the Truffe galette was seriously delicious and my husband raved about the Saucisse galette too.

Still the undisputed heavyweight champion of Shambles Market. The menu peppers you with delicious jabs of old reliables or new enticers and they give nothing away with a service that’s hard to tell if they respect you or hate you (but they’re here for business, no friends in this ring) then BAM, they hit you with a tasty uppercut of ingredients. Came here recently for lunch. I'm not someone who usually eats crepes or galettes, so this was a different experience for me. The staff were friendly and helpful; service was fairly quick; the price was reasonable; and the food tasted really great! Overall, I had a great experience, highly recommend visiting!

We had creps as a Lazy Sunday treat. The rest of my family had the thin, desert style crepes, and all loved them. I had the savoury style (thicker) pancake with ham and cheese. Honestly, the best pancake I've eaten, lovely!

Before I visited here I'd never had a crepe/galette before. My godmother and I visited because another location had refused us entry despite it being too early for a closing time and we'd already done several loops of the city and worked up a massive appetite. On our way back to the car we stumbled across this place and I enquired about their gluten free options and policies (I have coeliac disease) which they very kindly explained to me. I opted for a galette, with goats cheese, red onion, spinach, seeds and dressing. I've never tasted something so beautiful and delicious in my life... I even had to battle myself to not bolt it down as it was that yummy! I cannot wait to return to York and have a crepe, it was wonderful. The staff were delightful, and a young lady with short hair and glasses did call over to me to ensure I was enjoying my food... I think that service is wonderful. Can't wait to be back.

The Lemon Sugar crepe came loaded with cinnamon by default. I am allergic. When i pointed out that Cinnamon was not noted as contents the manager tried to justify it by saying the business was not obligated to tell me what was in the crepe Then she came over to where I was sitting to tell me again how she was right and I was wrong Eventually the manager gave me a full refund. But really I wasn’t looking for that. I was just looking for a simple and much cheaper apology.

Weeks holiday in Yorkshire. Visited York and had already searched to see if anywhere did galettes. Went for ham, cheese, egg and dijon mayo. Can honestly say it is one of the best I've ever tasted, including in France. Lovely tasty ingredients and cooked perfectly....

Popped in to York today for some shopping. Time fly's why your shopping and it was soon time for lunch. After checking all the food vans I choose Krep. I usually associate creps with sweet food but the savoury options caught my interest. So I choose the Chevre. A vegetarian option. The mixture of all the ingredients made it amazing. I recommend it t anyone, whether you want meat or not.

The appeal of the crepes that you see around the Shambles market are hard to resist, and for good reason. We’ve tried savoury (both pork, and ham and cheese) and sweet (biscoff with salty pretzels) crepes and all were delicious. Definitely worth the wait at the market if you’re visiting.

Just try one. You will. Not. Regret it. Just bursting with flavour, I’ve tried the game, chicken and pork ones now and all have their own highlights - I couldn’t choose a preference. My lady assured me the veggie option (mushroom and truffle) was equally divine. Enjoy!

Honestly guys, you need to try these. The vegan one was AMAZING. I could eat 10. Very filling! Also do oat milk for tea which was handy.

We stumbled upon KREP on our 1st day in York. Our 7 year old is a fan of banana and Nutella crepes, and we make it a point to find a crepe shop on holiday. The staff are friendly. There is a good selection of crepe toppings (sweet and savory), and the price is right. Our son got a stamp card and tried to eat 6 crepes (7th would be free) during our 3-day visit. Sadly (not really), we will need to return to complete the stamp card. We have one crepe to go!

I had the goats cheese, rocket and beetroot crepe (there was more than this inside!) and it was absolutely delicious - packed full of flavour! The kids both went for a banana, Oreo and Nutella crepe and I was informed it was amazing! We’ll definitely be back on our next visit!

I visit this wonderful krep truck so regularly - it is DIVINE❤️The savoury galettes are so tasty and extremely high quality/fresh/organic whilst the sweet crepes are just unreal with the nicest combinations of treats! The truck has vegetarian offers and also beautiful home made drinks! I recommend this krep truck to EVERYONE, the people who work here are just the loveliest and I have absolutely nothing but positive things to say

Sweet or savoury, your tastebuds will be tingling. We had a veggie (mushroom) option which was divine, a complet (ham) which was just as heavenly and although I hardly had room after the generous portion we topped them off with a lemon and sugar which tickles the buds all the way. Perfection. They were also amazingly efficient and helpful with an order mix up as well as giving our little canine pal some treats for waiting patiently. The best in all categories. Enjoy!

The staff is very friendly and the coffee is great - I had a 'Cochon' crepe and it was absolutely delicious! The Crepes are just the right size and not too filling, and easy to carry and eat - definitely recommended.

After a gruelling 2 months cooped up in lockdown, it truly is heaven touching the tongue! The service was so welcoming, great taste in music playing which helps to uplift the spirits! I’ve tried 2 of the crepes and I cannot fault them, perfection. They make an amazing jamaican ginger brew as well which is so refreshing! I really recommend any tourists or locals in York to come and support them, you won’t regret it!

Friendly service, serving up the tastiest of crepes and galettes. I opted for the Cochon which was a delicious combination of slow cooked pork, cheddar, confit onions and a few other little tastes that mad every bite a delight. Wandering through the shambles came across this fabulous little crepe and galette bar. Both had the complet and it was brilliant. Very filling and tasty and their coffee is great too!

Fantastic authentic french street food. Tasty, filling and great quality pancakes (even better than we tried in France!) I had Cochon Galette for lunch and then a sweet crepe Tatin - both absolutely stunning!

Galettes realmente deliciosos, tuve el Complet y el novio tenía el Cochon. Ambos estaban calientes, sabrosos y abundantes, almuerzo perfecto. Toda la comida aquí se cocina a pedido, así que lleva un poco de tiempo ya que los chicos son perfeccionistas. Los ingredientes son frescos y deliciosos y la atención al detalle es insuperable. Wow. We love the Galettes here, so much so that after our weekend visit to Leeds we decided to drive to York just to have these Galettes again, after our last visit a few months ago, before travelling back home. Yum yum yum.

Buone in sè però non si coglie la differenza tra crepes e galettes, salvo il fatto che le prime sono dolci e le seconde salate, l'impressione è che venga usato lo stesso impasto per cui le galettes non hanno niente delle tradizionali galettes bretoni.Comunque da provare perchè sono buone.

Went to Krep for lunch yesterday and had the Cochon galette. It was delicious! They have an amazing selection of galettes (savoury) and crepes (sweet).

First came across Krep at Spark, which they have since left as they have set up in the market. I was a little sceptical before I first ordered from there as I generally regard crepe trucks as being of poor value and a bit uninventive. Krep is certainly neither of these things! Their galettes are huge and there are multiple options for fillings, including fillings I would never have dreamed of in a crepe/galette. They still offer the standard nutelle crepe and other sweet fillings for those seeking something sweet or traditional.

Had a delicious ‘Chevre’ mustard and beetroot Galette, simply wonderful and hand crafted by Witek. I will definitely be returning for a coffee and crepe again soon.

I ordered a chevre crepe at lunchtime today and informed the two people on the van that I had a mustard allergy so please leave off the dressing. They acknowledged this and asked am I allergic to all mustard? I said that I was and they carried on.

Our second visit to Krep delivered another excellent lunch. The chevre crepe was very tasty and the service was quick, considering how busy they were. Thoroughly recommended!

I found Krep 2years ago and whenever I go to York, I enjoy thier gallette I love it so much. Buckwheat crape is crispy and fillings are fantastic! I had chicken gallett. It has a hint of rosemary,thyme and oregano, succulent chicken breast! Tangy garlicy chimichurri sauce and pickled pumpkin slices are the key to enhance the flavour!!

Wife and I had a lovely crisp galette each with goat’s cheese and pumpkin - really enjoyed sitting in the sun savouring the flavours. Nice slightly tangy cheese, sweet smooth peppers and a mouthwatering pumpkin mousse adding a bit of spice. We’ll visit again for sure, try a sweet pancake and report back.

I had an amazing vegan and gluten free galette here on Tuesday, the staff were so friendly and helpful, I had banana and dark chocolate and it was absolutely delicious. Sometimes when things are advertised as gf they still make me ill but I felt amazing and full and wish I could have eaten two. 100% recommended. And the van is really cute.

After reading the reviews I thought I would visit, the vegan chocolate crepe was good, but it wasn’t anything special. My daughter is not vegan and had a crepe made with eggs and milk, she didn’t eat most of it as she said it was a bit too heavy and very much like Yorkshire pudding.

Would definitely recommend this place.

We visited York for the day last Saturday 2nd June. Typical it was raining ☔️ anyway we found A new place that had only been open a month made from containers. Named. NEW YORK lots of small businesses different foods, shops & bars. Fantastic little place. This is where we found KREP, the staff were busy preparing food for a busy Saturday afternoon/evening.

Situated in Shambles market in the centre of the city. Not the sort of place we would normally eat at but the menu board intrigued us. We both has a form of crepe, Gallette, which was absolutely wonderful. It was full of so many ingredients one would not normally find in a crepe. Both my wife and I struggled to eat them as they were quite big. My wife had a ginger drink which she enjoyed very much. I had a free glass of water. The staff were very friendly and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Will definitely return on our next visit to York in a couple of months. Can highly recommend this wonderful and delightful eatery.

The crepes were amazing. And they serve a hot ginger drink call “Ancient Ginger Brew” it was great. My fiancé doesn’t really like ginger flavoured things but this brew was wonderful. We will be back.

This is in a truck in the shambles market. Discovered around Christmas time the year before! Has visited a few times. Feels healthy and amazing flavours, never disappointed. Must visit .

Delicious street food, crepes were delicious, abit pricey but yummy. The hot ginger drink was strong and warmed us up as it cold and rainy.

My husband and I only sampled the hot drinks here so we can't comment on the food for now. My hot ginger drink was delicious and the perfect way to warm up on a freezing cold day. Thanks to the team for letting me sample it first. However we thought over £5 for small takeaway hot chocolate and ginger drink was a bit pricey.

Just a quick review for this crepe van. I only grabbed a coffee here but I can tell you the coffee was great and worth a try to see what you think. The chap serving me was so super friendly. The menu for the crepes, both sweet and savoury, looked mouth watering. I told the guy I will be back for a crepe, and I certainly will. Crepe review to follow when I do!

We ate here when we came to the christmas markets, tried the poulet galette it was lovely. Was a little worried to begin with due to it being on a crepe and there was a few things on that I’m not keen on but was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was. Was a little pricey but would buy another one! Yummy!

I ordered a Nuttella and banana crepe. As I waited I was discussing with one of the lads working there what filling he had in his and it was something savory. I told them iv never ever had a savoury crepe as I didn't think savoury would be nice. He wanted to change my mind and rusteld me up a "taster" crepe with pork loin cheese potatoes and I think some Pesto. Well omg it just melted in my mouth and the flavours were delicious!!!! I was proven wrong and I am now converted. I'll shall be back.

My husband saw the Hot Ginger Drink on the menu and thought I would like it... we both did so much that he ran back to get one for himself, too. Perfect location, exceptional customer service, and the best hot ginger drink! Definitely worth a visit for the drink alone!

I live in York and had never heard of this particular venue, I visited for the first time on Sunday and the welcome was as if I had been going forever.Very polite young men who obviously enjoy what they do, when I confessed to having never eaten a crepe before, I was treated to a sample of savoury excellence, I then decided to go for a sweet crepe that was outstandingly good, this is a wonderful place and I will return again

Stumbled across this little gem by mistake whilst hunting for food. So glad we did though, the food is absolutely beautiful and well presented, made and priced. The guys running it were great and helped me make the right choice.

I had the Nutella crepe here during a visit to York and I know crepes aren't exactly the most complicated dish to make but these guys have it down to a fine art. The amount of Nutella was just right; just enough to seep out of the top of the crepe, without running out and making a mess. It was lovely and hot so the filling had melted a bit. As a person who has accidentally embarked on a mission to have a crepe in every town in Britain (three down so far!), I can confirm that this is the best Nutella crepe I have ever eaten. The homemade lemonade was also delicious.

I am not a pumpkin lover but definitely enjoyed the pickled pumpkin in poulet! Great combination, chefs definitely know what they doing - and they are very polite! Definitely will return!

I visited Krep while they were caring a street party and had the opportunity to try a few of their dishes (I was v hungry). Having the savoury crepes made up infant of you is great to watch and the combinations of fillings are extensive and everything I had was delicious. A highly recommended place to grab very filling and tasty food in the centre of this beautiful city.

Just had a coffee which was nice. They had three dedicated tables with deckchairs outside the truck, but it's also right next to all the outdoor tables of the shambles market food area. Nice square on a Sunday morning sat in the sun.
