These guys make their deserts with love 💁🏻‍♀️😝 never once have I been disappointed! From the creamy sundaes to the chocolate nutty cookie doughs, the freshest juicy fruits 🍇 🍌🍍 and not to mention all the decorate sweets and little extras. Infact it’s the only desert place I actually rate in York. Need that desert satisfaction filling then zidanes is your place 🫶🏻

staff are absolutely lovely! food is amazing and the portions do cover all your mates, was accommodating to changing elements to the food by request (eg swapping ice cream for another flavour) was super quick too

Really like zidanes. Usually always order the godfather cookie dough. However I'm insure if they have recently changed the recipe. The last two times I've got it, there seems to be chunks of dark chocolate on it. It's very sickly now when it never used to be

The place to go when you have a sweet tooth! The desserts here are beautiful, I ordered a waffle, with white chocolate sauce and milk buttons, ice cream and a milkshake, my partner and son absolutely loved their desserts too! Zidans stay open late and the guys and girl in the shop are lovely and friendly. I highly recommend getting your sugar fix here!

I ordered a crepe, 2 hotdogs (texas BBQ and classic) and a cookie dough. Food was great value for the portion sizes received. The hotdog was massive and layered with flavourful sauces and topping with lots of customisation available. Crepe was delicious with many choices available. I personally had a chocolate and banana one. Cookie dough was fresh, still steaming hot with an amazing gooey centre that made me want more. As a bonus, they threw in some free sweets which is too kind of them.

Nice guys in the shop and have a banging milkshake there.

Always a great place to deliver from, everything from the service to the delivery and the food is amazing. This place is one of the best dessert places in York. I’ve ordered from here multiple times and the service has always been amazing. I will definitely recommend to other people as it is not only amazing food but amazing people that work there 😁.

The delivery driver was so lovely, the cookie dough was small ish but a great portion for one person. Ice cream was still very much frozen when it got to us!

I order the cookie dough every so often as a treat for me and my family. It’s absolutely delicious! I feel it is a little on the pricey side, but so worth it in the end!

York desperately needs more places with interesting menus that isn't a carbon copy of one of the same 3 style of takeaways. Zidanes is genuinely something different, the hot dogs and the waffles are incredible. Will 100% be ordering again.

The owner himself came out to deliver our food due to the poor weather conditions, he was really thoughtful and compassionate with how long we were waiting. The food and milkshakes never fail to hit the spot, whenever we have a want for hotdogs we always go here.

I’ve had takeaway from here 3 times. The milkshakes are to die for!! The white chocolate and raspberry cheesecake is heavenly! The crepes are perfectly cooked! The nachos are lovely! The delivery driver for the restaurant is a really nice person!! I’m ordering from here a lot from now on, it’s reasonably priced and just delicious

I thought it would be a long shot to find ice cream at 10:30 at night, but I was pleasantly surprised to find Zidanes Indulgence. The Nutty Gelato Sundae could very well be the BEST dessert I have ever had!! So delicious, and the customer service was wonderful too. I am so happy I ended my trip to York in this most delightful way. I highly recommend checking it out if you get the chance, it’s a one of a kind dessert shop. 🙌

I've been buying my desserts from here for a long time. They are quick. The food is delicious. Delivery time decent. Only place I can get a proper cake and custard fix.

Visited it for the first time with my wife. The cheesecake and pancake were amazing. We were also offered to try cookie dough by Sohail and we absolutely loved it that we even bought a box. The staff is very polite and taste is just amazing.

Great experience here! Was in York for a funeral, had a really rough day. Later was craving ice cream really bad, and Zidane's was one of the few places open around 8pm on a Saturday. You do need to order in advance for collection or delivery, or pay cash and wait at the door (what I did), but it works fine that way. Really polite and friendly service. Great portions and really tasty! Good value for money too. We got a combo box 1 with a classic hot dog and bubblegum shake, and a Nut Nutter Sundae. Both were really nice. Definitely recommend, and important to support small local businesses

craving a late night dessert, and the shops had already closed. Got a cookie dough for £8 so decided to share as it was on the pricier side. If you are ordering in the shop though, bring cash or you will be faced by an extra fee to pay on the app as they don't accept card or contactless. the cookie dough did not disappoint, and was plenty big enough to share, came with some lovely vanilla ice cream that tasted high quality. Friendly and helpful staff.

The shop advertised social distancing still. I was confused as to waiting outside or going in (very small shop). A fella was inside setting up near the door and saw me standing outside, then he just walked off to the back, I stood for a few moments longer with no indication (this was after opening times 5:30pm advertised on google), so I just walked off and spent my money at the spar. In these tough times it would of been good for business, for the customer to be recognised with some form of custom service or been acknowledged/seen too. It's a shame because the food looked lovely.

Been ordering from Zidane's for well over a year now and never get round to writing a review. Service is always quick and friendly with a personal touch. You always feel remembered with Zidane's, for instance on one occasion I accidentally clicked to pay with cash when I ALWAYS pay with card and in the time it had taken me to find the number so I could call and change it, they had called me to ask if I'd made a mistake. Desserts are the best around and a bigger portion size than other local dessert places that charge a similar price

Food was amazing! They have CREPS! - I have kinder and choc buttons with white sauce for around a fiver and it didn’t disappoint. Food is great, staff are very nice and understanding. Can be a very busy shop and all staff are hard workers.

Extremely rude delivery driver! I will give 0 stars for the drivers attitude. Gets late and demands we come down immediately after he rings the bell- always sounds rude and unprofessional. Last time he said 'don't order again from zidane's'.
