The best restaurants serving French food in North West

Was disappointed that the only item listed on the menu as vegan isn't vegan. Menu should be updated to state that the burger is vegetarian not vegan and/or alternative vegan options added.

Super meal, lovely atmosphere and great staff. Thank you. The food was great, really tasty, hot and reasonably priced. Decor is great and the staff were helpful and friendly. Very good.

Had an absolutely delicious 2 course meal as part of the early bird menu. It was slightly cold in there as we were first there but the food more than made up for it. Would definitely visit again maybe wearing something a bit warmer.

Lilibets is situated in Stanley the northenden of Lord Street Southport , A nice restraurant for lunch or just a snack. They do lovely sandwiches and fancy cakes. The staff are always very pleasant and curtious.

I had the spicy chilli beef sandwich, whilst it tasted quite nice im not sure if it was done properly or not as afterwards I became very ill for multiple days, hope this was a one off cause the rest were decent tbf, great service from a guy named Adam or somet like that

We visited here back in March as we'd been drinking at the Picturedrome. Last minute decision as the weather was poor, but what a pleasant surprise. Amazingly, it being a Saturday evening, there was just one other couple dining. I am absolutely delighted to see the reviews on here because they are so well deserved. All I remember was that the food was delicious and the chef came out between courses to deliver some tasty nibbles. He described his creation with a real passion. I have the bill and we had the onion bhajis and then the Saag and confit de poulet for mains. A nice bottle of Shiraz was £25. This review has reminded me I need to make a reservation sooner rather than later.

Perfect venue for my daughter’s 21st!! The team made the night very special and looked after us so well. great food, great music and lovely atmosphere. Highly recommend 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I was not expecting to find a French cafe like this while wondering the streets of Warrington town centre! It’s a modestly sized place which aims to provide good genuine and honest French home cooking, not the posh haute cuisine but the stuff French people cook for themselves. Run by two French people, it does exactly that. We had a delicious meal. My Raclette was just lovely and very filling. The plum tarte also very traditionally made and all the better for it. This is absolutely the opposite of industrial-scale food preparation, microwave meals and all that stuff. It’s just a really great place to come and eat. It’s not dirt cheap and it’s not fast food but it is absolutely worth the price. If you like France and French food you absolutely have to come here. The owners are themselves “charmantes” - very friendly and happy to explain the menu. This place is a gem!

Every visit to Long Bar feels like stepping into my own living room. The warmth of the staff, their personal touch, and the way they know us by name create such a welcoming atmosphere. It’s rare to find a place that makes you feel so at home. Now, let’s talk about the food—because Chef Dave is truly outstanding. I don’t usually do “best,” but Dave? He cooks a Sunday roast that is nothing short of exceptional. And it’s not just the roast—every dish I’ve had here has been fantastic. You can tell there’s real passion behind every plate. I come here regularly, whether it’s for a meal, a drink with friends, or—let’s be honest—sometimes more than one drink! It’s always a great experience. This is the first time I’ve taken the time to write a review, not because I didn’t want to, but because I never felt the need—Long Bar speaks for itself. But I do think it’s important to acknowledge the people who put passion into what they do, and Chef Dave and the whole team here deserve all the recognition. As a proud Bramhall local and a small business owner myself, I believe in supporting our village’s businesses. Places like Long Bar make all the difference in creating a welcoming community. If you haven’t been yet, you absolutely should. Highly recommended!

Great meal at Arkle, atmosphere was lovely, service excellent, food great! Tasting menu was divine, each course was delicious. We will return if ever back in Chester.

Lovely dinner here last night with wonderful food - the pate and bouillabaisse were delicious and I was glad I saved room for the sticky toffee pudding at the end as well! Thanks to Jess and Francis for the great service as well.

Popped by for a pizza for dinner. Lad behind the counter was brilliant, even let me borrow a phone charger for a bit. Really great service. Ordered the veggie pizza, it was ok at best. A bit too greasy for my liking, but had a good quantity of olives as toppings. A bit more finesse would go a long way!

Great food every visit - with Greek or Indian options which is always a difficult choice as both are high quality. Kleftico is the signature Greek dish if you like lamb, good steak or kebab options as well a full range of Indian dishes. Rip Efes - such a shame its now closed
