Long Bar in Stockport

Shocking service, we were grunted at, snapped at & made to feel extremely uncomfortable. Very confusing ‘special offer’. Food gone down hill, very poor. Will not return!

Lovely lunch spoiled by being asked to vacate our table in 10minutes when we’d just had a drink delivered to the table. We paid £150 between 3 of us and were perfectly happy with everything till then. Not the service we’ve come to expect from The Long Bar. Very upset about this.

We have always had great service here but won't be going again. Had a great meal plenty of drinks but being asked to vacate our table was totally unacceptable as there were at least six empty tables with no reservations noted. VERY BAD BUSINESS ACUMEN !!!!!

Great atmosphere for Mother's Day. Very busy with people dining. The staff were happy for us to sit at the bar to enjoy our drinks.

Great lunch here and gorgeous tapas food and great cocktails. The menu is great and the food is really superb. Prawns are huge and patatas bravas with the sticky beef is a must. The Vietnamese French fries have to be included. Wash it down with a rhubarb raspberry gin mule, it has a great hit of ginger.

Quiet lunchtime visit but both the food and the service was excellent.

Fantastic fusion of foods, something different to everyone else. Great pleasant service, I only marked atmosphere down as it was quiet when we were in (but I like it like that) it made a change not having to shout across the table to be heard which seems to be the norm now. Great place to eat and drink they fitted us in at very short notice on a Saturday evening food and drinks were first class great atmosphere and absolutely every single member of the staff were very very pleasant polite and friendly could not fault them well done to a great team effort .👍👏👏👏👏 don't miss out give it a try excellent value for money

Went here for a birthday celebration and couldn't fault it. The service was great, fast and attentive. All the food was lovely, well prepared and presented. The food is like tapas as you order a few small dishes. The portions are a good size and all tasty and well presented. Would recommend the tandori and the crispy beef. And for £10 the steak was bigger than expected and really well cooked as asked for it medium rare. Have returned again and the service was great again and the food the same high standard.

We had a small query in regard to a drink as we were unsure if it was a mock tail as ordered along with a normal cocktail, both looked and tasted the same. Our driver was worried she had alcohol in her drink, and the lady who ordered normal cocktail was not sure hers did as they tasted the same. The owner is rude and unhelpful. The food was excellent and so we're waiting on staff. Sadly, we will not return due to the aggressive and rude owner.

Fabulous menu including small plates. Small but nice outdoor seating areas, plus semi outdoor seating at the front, with larger tables inside. Good service.

Lovely food, all cooked fresh & very tasty. A great treat, only rated 4 atmos as Tuesday lunchtime & a little quiet. We've been at weekends & eves and its buzzing, was a lovely lunchtime treat.

Called by for a quick drink last night with my friend who has recently moved to the area. As soon as walked in bar staff said ‘at capacity’ won’t serve you and another member of staff straight on us saying we aren’t letting any one else in. Meanwhile 2 lady’s got out of a taxi straight behind us and walked in and passed us to the bar just as we were told this and nothing said to them. Pointed this out to the member of staff who then pretended to go up to them as if telling them the same yet miraculously they stayed as we walked out. One of those pretentious place where they look at you, stereotype you (even though we are both 40 y/o working professionals / business owners) and make a preconception, and think they don’t belong in here and treat you like you are a class below. You need to get with the times. Disgusting, unfriendly, biased and judgemental. Thankfully plenty more lovely local bars that didn’t treat us this way. A real shame these places still exist in today’s society.

I've booked a few times here always lovely food but was very disappointed on Sunday it was my birthday so booked a table for 3 about 3 weeks ago. Arrived at the Long Bar with nobody eating although lots of tables reserved we were shown to our table but unfortunately it was at the window on high bars stools. I thought it was inapprociate for my mother of 86 to try and get up on the stool therefore asked if we could change. The answer was a defiant no as they were too busy. Not even a lets see if we can try and re-arrange some of the tables I certaintly was't about to let my mum try and hitch herself up so left. It rather spolt my birthday plans and felt a little let down.

Had a lovely lunch today with my 93 year old dad and friend Trudy celebrating her 83rd birthday. Great food , such variety and incredibly good value. Friendly, welcoming service from the twins.

I always love going to Long Bar. The service is first class, great friendly team and the owner is lovely. Food was wonderful. Large portions and a great selection. It never disappoints. All covid rules in place so felt nice and safe. We recently had the tapas take away food for two and it was great! Fresh and full of flavour we would highly recommend, can’t wait to visit when you are back open!

Hosted my 40th Birthday here, absolutely fabulous night. All my guests commented on what an excellent evening. Great service. Food is gorgeous one of my favourite places to eat in Bramhall. Will definitely return in the future, excellent value for money.

We have been to Long Bar three times and have always been impressed by the quality of the food and the friendliness of all the staff. The tapas dishes are perfect for groups and we have raved about the quality of the food after each visit.

Love, love, love this bar. BUT the Sunday lunch was diabolical! Before it has been amazing. Today the portions are smaller, the Yorkshire is cold in the middle, roast potatoes taste as if they have been sat around all afternoon and the gravy tepid. Please don’t do this to me again. Hopefully just a one off!

This was my favourite restaurant whilst travelling in the UK recently. The food was so good we went twice in a week. Staff really attentive to allergies and really knowledgeable about the menu. Loved the food. The peri peri chicken was devine as was the hallumi. Great menu with loads of choice, all delicious

Came out to this bar for a drink with my friend, sat at the bar after ordering two cocktails. Was approached by a rude ignorant Male and what looked like his twin was beside him. I asked politely "are you twins" only to be replied with yes and a angry looking face. The other bar staff seemed friendly although these two looked like they had issues talking friendly to others

We visited the long bar today at lunch time, we were greeted and seated and made to feel welcome immediately. The selection of food on the menu catered for all kinds. The portion sizes and the quality of the food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Well worth visiting and you wouldn’t be disappointed.

I have reported on several reviews on this bar. The food is amazing in quality and value. The staff are excellent and helpful and all appear to believe in the company policy of good service and food with the added value of drinks at acceptable prices. Well worth a visit. In addition to the set menu make sure you get the changing specials menu

Nicely appointed with fairy lights and flowers but with the dim lights and silvery theme I can’t help but feel like it’s the Christmas season! Drinks nice but generic in comparison with the gin bar. Music a sensible level too. Nice place to go!

Lovely staff great atmosphere superb food. Reasonable priced. Will be coming back very soon. Live music twice a month on a thursdsy also fund raising events cant wait to come back.

Lovely food excellent service brilliant night

Been a couple times over the last month and cannot fault it. The food is exceptional and such good value. My favourites are the marinated lamb on the specials and the salt and pepper king prawns.

Having had lots of evenings of drinks in Long Bar, tonight was the first night I tried the food menu. The food was amazing. Good selection lots of meat, fish and veggie dishes so something for everyone. Very fresh, quick service and very yummy food. Can’t wait for the next time.

Varied menu 3small plates for15.00 ,very helpful friendly staff ,the restaurant has aircon which I felt was great as it was a warm muggy evening .No sweets are available but to be honest we didn't manage to finish our main course and staff were happy to package it up for us to bring home ,lovely sounding cocktails are available ,I was happy to just have prosecco which went into bucket which clipped onto the table what a great idea

First time here for either drinks or eats. Sunday lunch out. Charming waitress. Full tapas menu and traditional Sunday lunch. Three opted for traditional. All good. My tapas was also good. I have had better but no complaints on portion size! Very goid value for money all round.

This has become a regular haunt for us ... we eat out a lot and this is unquestionably the best food in Bramhall. Good atmosphere, good service and I always feel I’ve got value for money. Great to see an independent bar doing so well ...

A lovely choice of small plates which we concentrated on. All were excellent. Only word of advice is they were not that small.

Just had a great evening at the Long Bar, we reserved a table for Friday night and just as well as it was packed The tapas really is as good as all the reviews say. I was particularly impressed with the hummus and mentioned it to Joe, the next thing I knew was that he had given me a package with some to take away, Most unexpected but my family with thrilled with it, Thanks again and great night, we will be back and not just for the hummus

I had a great experience at Long bar, the food was amazing and the bar staff were helpfull and friendly, the chilli beef was to die for to the point i asked the waitress Robyn who cooked it and his name was (dale) compliments to the chef! Ill definitely be back.

Six of us decided to have an evening out and reserved a table at the Long Bar. There must have been over 40 dishes available and we all chose the 3 dishes each for £15.00 It was fantastic Quaffed down with 3 bottles of an excellent Prosecco. Food and the service were fantastic. Car parking for those that don't know is behind Sainsbury's.

Third time here for lunch.The tapas dishes are the best food we've had in a long time..delicious,large portions and well presented. Service always good..friendly staff every time whether lunch or in evening. Beautiful surroundings. Try it you won't be disappointed! !

Went for a girlie lunch and had the three Tapas for £9.95. We were a group of four but went for 9 Tapas as the portions are so generous. Scallops were beautiful and the advocaco and crayfish salad. Had a bottle of gavi which was lovely. This place is really worth a visit.

Another fantastic meal in the Long Bar, always pleased with the tapas menu as it’s always so tasty to the extent that I always over order in the fear that my new menu choice is not as good as what I have already eaten there.
