Very nice breakfast, good size and good value!

decided to order a breakfast for a change was excellent plus a sandwich baguette for my tea time overall more then 5☆ from myself excellent food and quality

Ordered a mushroom and a vegetable soup. £4 each and turns out they were just tins of heinz soup. So £8 for two tins of heinz soup. Not good. Rest of food okay, chips and gravy was bisto. All very basic and not worth the money.

I had breakfast at this place today, it was really great, especially the ice coffee. The behavior of the staff was very respectful. I had a great time at this place.

Food was absolutely disgusting! Inedible food looked like it was cooked days ago and then dropped in old oil and deep fried to re heat. Both meals when in bin. Still waiting for refund !

Food was cold bacon was over done and very tough sausages were under cooked toast was soggy beens and tomatoes were mixed together in same tub eggs were over done could not eat food had to throw away very dissatisfied

Normally a great place, however the two of the toasties arrived and the cheese was still cold and not melted. The shop didn't answer the phone and they have now refused a refund on the basis that this is "their style". Goodbye Scotch Egg and good luck if this is the way you treat regular customers - Appalled

Well, going off of the worst reviews for this place, and also the fact that this closed an hour earlier to when it said it would when I tried to visit the other day (meaning I couldn’t)…. I actually really enjoyed my breakfast today! One of the best veggie breakfasts that I’ve had with great portions for £7.50! I actually way preferred it here to Sivori's in Edgeley Also I was served much quicker than I have been in any other cafe recently so hats off to them 🎩

I would not recommend this plces at all waited 2 hours for food and when it got here things was missing and it taste like it been done in a microwave

Took over 2 hours for my food to arrive and when I rang up they told me i ordered for collection when i didnt i ordered for delivery and was then told they dont deliver to my area even though i have ordered here before so will not be ordering from here again, terrible customer service skills

Although the delivery was on time based on the app it took nearly 1.5 hours for some breakfast sandwiches which feels very excessive not sure if this was down to driver availability Food was great though when it arrived

There were a few problems with our order and one which generated a complaint such as it showing up as delivered for over half an hour before it was (this was on the Just Eat platform) and this led to a lot of frustration and a refund request via JE (which I have immediately emailed them and asked them to totally disregard my refund request and explained that my husband and I had been convinced that our order had gone to a similar address near here which has happened before. It also led to a review which I have asked Just Eat to remove and not publish as it was no longer accurate as it was along the same lines as the reason for the refund request). I'm doing this review in case Just Eat don't listen and this is a genuine review of The Scotch Egg - a review I would have written if the mishap with the delivery falsely saying "delivered" hadn't occured. Firstly, I'd like to say the lady I was speaking to, as the order finally arrived, was so lovely and patient and understanding and we both laughed at the fact the order arrived as I was talking to her - she gets 5 stars! The food was actually lovely, plentiful and still hot, which can be quite hard to do with cooked breakfasts as they tend to cool quickly and if I'm honest, there was so much, neither my husband nor I could eat it all. I'm not going to comment on delivery as there was obviously a glitch and that could have been Just Eat. It did end up taking around an hour and a half - 2 hours from ordering but that would not have been a problem if the tracking hadn't falsely said that it had been delivered half and hour before it was. All in all - we DO recommend this place, the staff are lovely and the food is good

The food was late by nearly an hour after a ninety minute waiting time was given. When I telephoned for an update on my order, the line was distorted then put down. I tried calling multiple times to no answer. I'm not sure if they're genuinely running a business. Terrible service, avoid them at all costs.

Just had takeaway at scotch egg. excellent chicken & chorizo melt.

Ordered the full breakfast. Taste was bang on. But the beans was all spilt in the bag like it had been thrown together, called them up and the women on the phone was rude and kept saying “and” when I told her my food arrived a mess

Disgusting!!! I wish I could upload a photo the egg looks like a scrambled egg. An the toast was literally put in and out of a toaster, the sausages was hardly cooked and cheep tasting, my partner got bacon and sausage his was the same and his bacon was vile!!! We wouldn’t even feed the meat to our dogs.

Original time slot 1.50-2.10. Arrived 2.38 Driver would not walk through main double doors which are open he walked completely around the building then back past the shop. It's a pub! Massive doors to the front of building where he parked the car. Placed order at 1pm arrived 2.40. Wont bother again

Waited nearly 2hrs for a breakfast ordered at 12.12 and came at just gone 2pm was 20 minutes late. Food came dry chips were greasy, so all went in the bin. £20 wasted not happy at all We have a poorly house at the moment and was looking forward to our food

Just been in here for a large bacon barm. Got to my wagon to eat it massive barm 2 slices of bacon. Disappointed big time and it wasn't cheap 😪 🤢

Ordered 2 breakfasts and some pastries Sunday morning, order went through with estimated delivery 11:50 - 12:10. Food never turned up, no update from the restaurant. Tried to call but the line is always busy so unable to get through. I've had to out a complaint in about my order not turning up to get a refund. Shame as I've ordered from here before with no issues

Friendly and quick service. Food was delicious. For a quick lunch couldn’t really fault it.

We recently started work nearby and didn't want Macdonald's, so tried this place ....wow...large menu, stuck for choice. This place has bad reviews on just eat...but for the sit in service a big thumbs up... Try for yourself...we will be back. People are quick to moan so wanted to put how pleased we both were with the service and the yummy food....presentation was good too...not just slapped on the plate...😀😀

Food was awful! No flavour!!!! Ordered scones and they put margarine on top of the scone which was disgusting! Should of been cut in half and real butter should of used! Had to put sauce on the sandwiches just to make them edible!

Unfortunately, the restaurant didn’t add the additional items to one of the breakfast, which was paid for. However, this was the first time offering and the food was very nice.

Unhelpful staff and cold food. Order said it was on its way for 45 minutes when the restaurant is a 5 minute drive away. Feel as though our order was forgotten and pushed aside. Will not be ordering from here again.
