I came in here twice on my two pub crawls ("ale trails" if I want to sound classier) during my stay in Stockport, first in one bar then in the other. They were midweek nights, and the place was quiet. The Hope Inn had the best range of beers of any pub--some of it expensive, of course--I visited in the town, including their own brewery's Fool Hardy Ales. So this is a serious venue and not to be missed. Neverthless, I felt uncomfortable there. The man behind the bar was perfectly efficient, but I found the atmosphere alienating, sensing I could drink there all evening without encountering a note of human interaction. This wasn't the case with the three other pubs nearby (it's a great bit of road for a pub crawl). Not a criticism of the Hope Inn, which is in many ways a real beer drinker's wonder.

Pub three up the Stocky slope. Worth the haul uphill from the bus station. A fab little brew pub with half a dozen of their own excellent beers and another four or so guests. We sampled most of the beers between our group and were impressed with allPork pies available to sustain those in need of food. Good news also is that the rest of the pubs are now back down the hill

I have called in here twice lately. both times in the evening. On both occasions there has been no heating on and a poor selection of different ales unless you like hoppy stuff. The lighting in the lounge is abysmally poor. The room draughty due to frequent visits to the loo by ladies. And the man next to me was vape- smoking merrily away with no interruption by any staff members. There is no sense of this being a pub at all, No local feel to it and no wonder when managed with a don't care attitude. Try the Railway down the road<(cheaper ales too)..

Huge selection of brewed on the premises beers on tap, with friendly bar staff however slightly lacking in atmosphere.

Amazing range of beers to choose from. A pool table at the back and board games to play. At times, it lacks in atmosphere but have heard music playing recently which has definitely enhanced the experience. I think this pub would have it all if there was a juke box in one of the rooms to give it the little bit more to get people in. The staff are always very friendly

Visited on a Saturday evening after a day round Stockport, the bar staff were friendly and there was plenty to choose from on the drinks menu. Whilst looking like a traditional pub on the outside, on the inside it clearly caters for the trendier crowd.

I love this place and visit it very often. It is in the heart of Stockport but still maintains some traditional elements along with serving some of greatest beer I have tried in Greater Manchester. It is quiet with nice music (such as smooth radio on), spacious and very clean. Some of the beers such as the risky blondie and the russian rullete are amazing. They prepare their own brew and they do well!I haven't tried the food yet and never attended any of the nights with live music that they organise, but I want to try to do that as well. The staff is really friendly, too.Highly recommended, especially if you love beer!

The menu offers everything you’d expect to see in your average British cafe. Food is always cooked wonderfully.😋 All of the staff are kind and helpful and will do anything to make you comfortable. The coffees are lovely too! The play room at the back is perfect for after you’ve filled your belly! I meet here all of the time with my mummy friends! They have a little gift shop too where you can find kids gifts 👌

I have been coming to this fab cafe since it opened with my children when they were younger with other mummies and have also used it as a business space. The staff are always really accommodating and since the pandemic have worked really hard to accommodate everyone they can whilst making everyone feel safe and welcome. The food is fantastic and we always recommend it to everyone. Even during a difficult time with the rules changing all the time they are still smiling and making everyone feel very welcome
