The best restaurants serving French food in City of London, Westminster London

We eat regularly at many Cote Brasseries...the quality of food and service is always high...yesterday, this Cote went beyond...my girlfriends birthday Experience was made just perfect...I won’t define details but just wonderful...these people are consummate professionals...10/10...

A restaurant that claims to be French. Exorbitant prices for average food and drinks. I came a second time and again the staff was not courteous.

Fantastic food, with an amazing wine list too. One of the best restaurants that’s not pretentious in zone 1 that I’ve been to in a long time. If you want great food and great wine, I’d recommend getting lunch or dinner here. Really great place to go!!

We were saddened to hear that this lovely place is about to close and rushed to enjoy a last meal there a few days before the final service. We ignored the truly weird psychodrama being played out at the next table by a couple whose relationship seems unlikely to last until that last service and gave ourselves over the the cosseting service, delicious food and simply amazing views. Galvin at Windows will be much missed.

Just finishing another brilliant fortnight AGAIN in our second home been coming back for 20 years so no more to be said from the bottom to the top staff are brilliant no one is better than anyone else so relaxed,clean and friendly so give it a go

My husband chose this restaurant based on a recommendation from a friend. I was hesitant, as it is very pricey, and I wasn't looking for fine dining on this trip. But after a superlative evening, I felt it was worth every single penny and was SO glad that hubby won out. The service at La Petite Maison is impeccable without being stuffy. We thoroughly enjoyed our friendly servers, all who were there at the right time, every time. The restaurant's ambiance is lovely with a touch of quirkiness via the Truffle-Man menu and the fresh tomato "garnish" at each table (meant to be eaten!). The seating is very comfortable. And the food! The food!! We started with a pre-dinner cocktail and I asked our server for a recommendation on a martini. She suggested a Tomatini. The utterly divine taste of this beverage is, without exaggeration, indescribable. Pure, fresh tomato essence with a bare touch of sweetness. DO NOT miss trying this exquisite beverage if you dine here. You will understand and excuse my raptures and be very grateful to me as well! We started our meal sharing an interesting, avant-garde presentation of Pissaladiere. Still delicious! Hubby chose the Grilled Rib-Eye which he said was cooked to perfection and delicious. I chose the Sea Bream; every bite absolutely delectable. To accompany both dishes, we shared a serving of the Gratin Dauphinois which was lush and creamy. We finished our meal by sharing the Mousse au Chocolat. More raptures! La Petite Maison was literally an unforgettable dining experience that we are still talking about and where we can wholeheartedly recommend dining without the least reservation! And speaking of reservation. Make one or you won't get in!

Absolutely amazing wine, cocktails and food! Where else can you find flights of Margaux and Sassicaia?! The wine list is impressive and well priced. The food was stellar. Staff were helpful, friendly and engaging. Such a great all around experience.

Visited on the last opening day of Brasserie in this academic year. We were seated by t he window, probably because there were not many customers on the day. The window tables have a lot of sunlight when the weather is good. Our waiter was a final year student and informed us that some observers are watching their performance. Afterwards a teaching staff also came to explain the similar situation to us. Our waiter was polite and courteous. We ordered soup, code fish as appetizer, lamb rump and sea bass as mains. The food presentation was good, but taste was just acceptable overall. The soup, the sea bass and the lamb were on the salty side. Price wise it is more with the market level and did not offer significant concessionary price. However, we did make some donation to help the student activities on our way out.

Mientras que otros lugares de Cocotte suelen ser bastante buenos, este establecimiento en particular carece de la visión: la comida era sosa, nuestro pollo probó y parecía la tanda recalentada de ayer, la sopa de pollo, aunque abundante, definitivamente tenía el sabor de cubos Maggi, la condensación de aire acondicionado goteaba en los platos en algunas de las mesas, el personal estaba limpiando el piso de forma casi permanente y todo el restaurante tenía una sensación de una comida rápida deteriorada, absolutamente no gestionada ni mantenida a la altura de los estándares de Cocotte. ¡Lamentablemente, terminamos en casa con un ataque de diarrea explosiva! Un asunto costoso, con nuestro almuerzo tarde terriblemente decepcionante que cuesta más de £ 90. -
