Wonderful staff, beautiful food and a very calm atmosphere.

We come here annually with a friend every time she is in London, and this place never fails to impress. The food as always was divine! The venison special was "to die for"!! We all said it was the best meal we had had in a long time. But even better than the food, if that's even possible, is the service. So welcoming you feel like you are seeing friends, and each waiter takes such care of you and you can tell they really enjoy their job! They are attentive, knowledgeable and gracious. The best restaurant in the city for sure!

Delicious food, every course was outstanding and the perfect wine for pairing was suggested. Can’t wait to return, perfect setting for anything as the ambience was great.

The team here really make for a pitch perfect evening. They strike a balance between the right level of service without becoming overly fussy. The winelist is a treasure for a burghound in London, superb choices at all price ranges. The duck was cooked to perfection and my dinner guest’s steak was actually medium rare, which is not always what one gets when ordering medium rare steak in London. I will return, happily.

We had our elopement wedding dinner here in September. The service was excellent and the food was outstanding. The upstairs private dining room is a great option for any celebration. We were able to play our own music which didn't affect diners downstairs.

If you were looking for a formal French restaurant with non-arrogant service, this was definitely the best choice. All service staff were friendly and positive. They also seemed very professional in providing wine and food recommendations. The environment was perfect. The oysters and sweet shrimps were handled very cleanly. Foie gras and duck were served as an appetizer and were very unique when paired with sauce. The raw beef was cut very thinly and presented beautifully. The two main dishes, beef and fish, felt a bit fusion and were a little bit less tender for me. Overall, it was a restaurant worth visiting.

Rock solid food! Good ambience too.

We ate lunch at Cabotte on two separate days in September. The food and service were truly exceptional both times. We had the Scottish Halibut, Venison and Lamb (all cooked to perfection), and so many excellent wines. It was the very best restaurant for us during our entire week in London. The staff was universally amazing. We were literally treated like royalty. We hope to return soon.

What a wonderful restaurant! Everything pitch perfect, food, wine, service, ambience. Came here for a private wine tasting and we were so impressed we booked for dinner. Just delicious and complemented so well with the wine choices. Crab, tuna tartare, beef with skinny fries just delicious, and lemon verbena peach dessert so light but sweet/sharp.And of course the wines are top class. Highly recommend. Wish we had known about this restaurant earlier.

Excellent food and a well-chosen list of wines.

I was in London for work a few months ago, but forgot to leave a review while I was there. The fact that I remembered to go back and leave a review speaks to how great my experience was at Cabotte. The food was phenomenal and the chef and waiter were incredibly accommodating. My coworker and I happened to stumble across Cabbotte on our first night and we ate and drank for hours. Definitely recommend coming here if you’re in the area.

The food is prepared fresh, vibrant and full of flavor. Great wine list. Service is the perfect amount of interaction and delivery. Great atmosphere and perfect location to entertain clients.

The place a is very cool. Beautiful inside. Good wine selection. Service can be at the hedge. I went there for a business drinks and the waiter seemed a bit annoyed with every requests. Quite pricy as well

The food here is amazing and the service is top notch. The steak tartare was unreal.

Disappointed. I have eaten here a few times and been very happy and why I chose Cabbotte for a dinner meeting. The staff seemed in a hurry to move us out and it felt like harrasment, they moved the plates when one of our party was still eating. they were busy and maybe needed the table but this is not the way to go on. My guests were happy with the food which was good but not great.

The ambience... the service .... the food ... the wine! What an amazing evening. It was exquisite. These guys know what they're doing and they seem delighted that you're there to share the experience. I can't recommend it highly enough.

We visited Cabotte on Friday evening, the staff took excellent care of us and every dish we ordered was delicious. We took a recommendation on the wine and it was truly the best wine I’ve tasted. Will be visiting again and recommending to friends.

I really cannot recommend this place highly enough - I took a friend there this evening and she was also charmed. Friendly knowledgeable staff and lovely surroundings. Lots of high quality wines by the glass; I highly recommend one of the meurseults or indeed a classic red burgundy.

I had dinner here with a close friend and we had a lovely time. The interior is amazing with lots of wood, mirrors and a great bar. Classic. The food was very good and tasteful. We opted for mains and dessert. For dessert we had the apple tart tatin for 2, which is baked freshly, and it was so large that you could easily serve 4 portions. There is also an extensive wine list. Would recommend.

I am a regular here and have always enjoyed the food and ambiance. On this occasion twelve of us had lunch in the private dining area. Not only was the room cold but so was the food and some was sent back to be reheated. What was on the plate was disappointing and not up to their usual standards . It was a Monday and they were busy and obviously short of staff but given the costs I really don't think they have much excuse. I will return but just hope this is a blip!

Stylish modern restaurant with distinctive interior. Has a small menu that they do extremely well. Everything is presented perfectly, with attention to detail. Service is impeccable to go with the quality cuisine. Really enjoyed my lunch, looking forward to going back.

Brilliant service and wine collection

The wine list is spectacular, which is why I went. Unfortunately, they do not have the food to match, which is an enormous shame.

Went some time ago and reviewed, stunning foord and wine list. Just hated the shared men and ladies loos, hopefully they have rectified!

Wij hebben hier gisterenavond gegeten op aanbeveling van onze hotelconciërge. Aardige ontvangst. Heerlijke crémant de Bourgogne als aperitief met oesters. Daarna Schotse heilbot met miso bloemkool, zeegroenten en een yuzu kreeftensaus als hoofdgerecht met daarbij een heerlijke fles witte Marsannay van Sylvain Pataille. Genieten met hoofdletters. Het lekkerste gerecht van de week. Daarna nog een chocoladee. Hazelnoot mille-feuille toe. Zeer uitgebreide wijnkaart om van te watertanden. Een aanrader om hier te gaan eten. De volgende keer komen we zeker terug!

We had dinner on the 15/11/22 - 122.58 for 2 mains, 1 side and half a bottle of wine. Still water is not sealed and smells like tap water - charged for 2 bottles even that we only ordered 1. Food was average and cold. Place was so loud that we had to have a paracetamol to finish the dinner as the ambience was unbearable. Would not recommend to anyone. Expensive, loud and not good quality.

A wonderful treat - high quality food with a wine list that can impress any wine connoisseur (ask for the long list to lose yourself for a good 20 mins). Attention to detail was fantastic and the team were just great.

An exceptional bistro right in the heart of The City. True to its provenance (having been founded by two master sommeliers), there's a wide selection of fine wines and delicious food prepared as accompaniments. One of my favourite City restaurants and it never fail to provide first class food, service and wine. Delightfully French with delicious cooking with a lovely ambiance. Dishes can be prepared without gluten , except perhaps a few puddings. Overall a real treat every time

Probably my favourite place in London. Everything is spot on from the food to the amazingly extensive wine list focused around Burgundy. The team is always happy to help you dive in it. Let's not forget the tarte Tatin which is one of the best I ever had.

5 Stars is simply not enough. What an incredible experience. To start. It’s hard to express just how jaded I am with fine dining in London. It all got so up itself in recent years. I am pleased to say that our visit here yesterday has restored my faith, reminded me that great experiences and the best food and wine need not be mutually exclusive in London. Bravo to the team here. The team who are clearly experts who know how to craft an experience as well as handle a recommendation, how to create an evening and not just serve a meal. Though clearly well qualified they are not the over papered, preening, self congratulating fat heads, who want to show off how clever they are. They are artists who want to share their passion for food and wine, to make you laugh. To blow your mind with flavour combinations and really take you places with food that you probably thought were lost in London. The food is exceptional but it’s the details and the joy being shown by the team here which 1) explains why the place has its reputation 2) means it’s where I will be going back to when I’m in town and looking to spoil myself or my friends. Treat yourself and talk to the team they will bring the opportunities to life for you and are an absolute delight. This place needs a 6 star rating.

Quick and friendly service. Excellent food - superb fish, perfectly cooked in a fragrant sauce. It was a little noisy but overall it contributed to a very convivial atmosphere. Great for a casual business dinner - not for a family meal.

Very nice experience in downtown London. We didn’t have a reservation but we were able to stay and eat for dinner. The reception was great and welcoming. The food was actually delicious and they have a very good choice of French wine.

After a long day this was a real delight! Staff were amazing and from my partner, they have been working here for a long time. Friendly, attentive, accommodating and knows everything on the menu. The food was perfectly cooked (Obvs oysters were raw) and prepped; delicious and good size portions. Love mushrooms but don’t have truffle often, it was the perfect amount on the risotto to complement each other. Likely to return again in future.

Cozy, yet lively at the same time. Simple yet great design. Menu is not huge, however that’s how an excellent restaurant operates. The place is certainly very busy, yet the employees are outstanding, and very attentive, Alina was extremely lovely, friendly and overall just 100%. The food is absolutely perfect. Cooked beautifully. Lots of amazing flavours. I will certainly come back when in the area again

A great find in the city with an extensive wine list (our reason for booking). We were not disappointed by the choice or price of both white and red and the rib eye was delicious.

Such a buzzy environment, run by the owner who makes you feel like a million $. Fantastic wine and food. Not cheap, but a must go if you like good food and a London vibe.

My friend and I had quite a disappointing meal here last night. When entering the restaurant there was an extremely unwelcoming feeling coming from the staff, they just seemed very standoffish and arrogant. We were seated quite early, and the restaurant was practically empty, but there was absolutely no attention paid to our table with 4-5 staff members working. An example of this is that our water was not filled regularly like other tables were. This is what is expected in a restaurant of this supposed quality. The food was also disappointing. On a positive note, the oysters were very good and the quality was great for the price they were offered. However, the main courses left a lot to be desired. My friend ordered the veal steak (medium) - we made this really clear- but was served a steak that was still practically raw and difficult to cut. The hake was well cooked but lacked significant seasoning. All quite bland and overpriced. Our waiter also seemed unimpressed with us as patrons and treated us with outright contempt. The french maître d' was the only warm and welcoming presence in that restaurant. If you're looking for a comfortable place to have delicious french food, look elsewhere

We had a very enjoyable meal at Cabotte. The food was excellent. Our starters of smoked salmon (beautifully presented) and duck umbles (yes, we had to ask!) were both very fine, and the mains of hake and venison extremely well cooked. The pumpkin and blue cheese gratin was an unexpected highlight with the blue cheese not allowed to dominate the whole dish. Desserts of tarte tatin and crème brûlée were both more than acceptable. The wines we chose worked very well, and I'm glad I took the sommelier's advice on the red. The service was very friendly, but sometimes a little chaotic in timing.

Fantastic French cuisine with a very decent menu and extensive wine list especially from burgundy.

This is a proper menu, and outstanding we’ll delivered for your ‘City’ lunch. As one looks around the room, it’s dominated by the insurance market and the old school tie wearers. Excellent wine list. I give it 5*, but I would love the smell of the bathrooms to go…. Difficult when it used to be a ‘Balls Brothers’ in the late 1990s, it’s probably soaked into the woodwork.

This is a delightful restaurant, well appointed and with excellent service. For the most part the food was also excellent and fully deserving the top reviews that have been given. I started with the duck umbels, which I found out are the heart and liver. This dish was superb and the best part of my meal. I followed with the due of guineafowl and this would also have been superb but the breast was a bit tough and rubbery. Julie had the plaice as a main and this was very good. Our waiter was sufficiently knowledgeable to be able to recommend a wine that we both enjoyed with our vey different menu choices. Julie finished with a crème brulee and this was a generous portion so I ended up sharing it.

Overall good diner but main dish failed to satisfy The oysters and cold cuts as starters were fresh and tasty. I really recommend taking the oysters, the price/quality ratio is great. For the main dish we took the classic French steak with eggplant on the side. The quality of the meat and the persile sauce were just not at the level we expected them to be. The eggplant was good but nothing extraordinary. The dessert made things better. We went for the tarte tatin to share. Very well prepared and delicious. The decoration is great, half fancy half modern and the service was satisfactory as well. A great place for its wines but the cuisine was only semi-convincing
