Oh dear What a miss Wanted to go the last 3 years on recommendation 245£ lunch which was £80 worth at a gastro pub Sooo average it was unbelievable. Staff nice but cramped tables and bang average food. Still shocked. Wrote to let them know which I've never done before and of course no reply.... Avoid unless you like paying 250£ lunch for pub food in a cramped atmosphere

Romantic, atmospheric and sophisticated. If you enjoy fine dining and a fantastic wine list, this is a great choice. I was a client of its predecessor Le Boudin Blanc before it closed, and was curious about its new management, and was so pleased with the wonderful service, beautifully cooked food and refreshingly dry wine. We started with the Scallops which I would highly recommend as a starter and their bread, and we shared the Seabass, cooked with a beautiful pil pil sauce and would highly recommend it! I always think you can tell a great deal about a restaurant by their house wine, which didn’t disappoint! It was the perfect accompaniment to our food. A wonderful evening which has left us wanting to return and try the rest of the menu!

I was a huge fan back in the day of the original Lamb's Conduit Street branch of this now 3 site restaurant group. If it's top quality wine the both manages to be surprising and delicious, then this is 5/5 - if it's culinary innovation you're looking for, then you might be a little disappointed. My £34 venison main was tiny and essentially just tasted of butter and salt. It's really pub style food with Mayfair prices. On a more positive note, the service was exemplary - a rarity in London these days.

Four of us had a delicious 'set lunch' meal in a great setting. Unusual to have no choice, but fine for us. The atmosphere upstairs was calm and relaxed, the downstairs was more vibrant. House wine for £5 per glass in Mayfair! The only slightly sour note was asking for bread to accompany the starter, and being charged for it.

Having eaten at NR Lambs Conduit and NR Soho, I was looking forward to completing the triple and wasn’t disappointed! Maybe I chose wisely but I think my lunch was the best of all - Carlingford oysters, raw Cornish blue fin tuna and pantellarian capers, barigoule artichoke and stracciatella with hazelnuts (oh, boy!) and Cornish Cod with San Mariano tomatoes. All washed down with a nice bottle of Chablis. Not forgetting the rice pudding with liqueur de cassis de Mouton Rothschild. Great fun.

Visited the downstairs private dining area as a group of 10 mid week for lunch. The room itself is incredible, with a wine cellar directly behind it hosting a variety of vintage wines that really adds to the experience. The food; Starters: The bread was just brilliant, so much so that we had to order more. So incredibly fresh and the salted butter was to die for. The ham was another highlight, peppery and incredibly fine and we could have eaten a number of portions of this. We then also had oysters, almonds & melon all of which were really quite brilliant. Mains: This is where the meal was a little disappointing, most of us had the pork, although on reflection I wish I had ordered the duck as the pork was a touch average and came with an apricot sauce that a lot of us felt was a little sour. The potatoes were nice but nothing to write home about. The tomatoes were probably the highlight with the main. The Wine: You can't fault the selection of wines here, this really was the reason that we visited and we were not disappointed on this front. A great selection of white Bordeaux's of which we tried a number of different bottles. All round a good experience, having the private dining experience was very special but I just wish the food was more substantial, or that I had gone for the duck.

After telling our waitress that we were sorry the Lobster & Nectarine Toast was not on the carte she requested it of the chef who said it would be a pleasure to make it for us.Pure heaven on a plate! We also had the delicious set menu which was followed by a further surprise. The waitress whispered to us that we had been given two desserts Firstly a freshly baked madelaine, warm from the oven with apricot coulis and chantilly cream. Then a take on Eton mess with the juiciest strawberries south of the Carse of Gowrie. Not only was our waitress professional and knowledgeable but surely has the true gift of hospitality. We have here been before and enjoyed it but were disappointed this time. The waitress thought our choice of sparking rose as a pre dinner drink was good and told us about it. When she bought it, we found it was flat - not a bubble in sight. We pointed this out and were told this happens with some bottles - they are all different. In which case it shouldn't be on the sparking section of the menu. it looked to us to be the left overs from a bottle that has been opened some time ago. Not impressive to serve or to react in that way. The rose was taken away (without an apology) and we were charged for champagne - which was sparking but more expensive.

Deeply disappointing experience. We came as a group of 4 to noble rot on a recommendation of a close friend and had booked weeks in advance. It was a mid-week dinner reservation, but upon sitting down we were immediately told by the waiter that they'll need table back within an hour and thirty minutes. We were given almost no time at all to select dishes and I've never ate so quickly in my life - I've had more relaxing experiences during rush hour commutes on the tube. Every dish that came out was flat and tasteless, the only redeeming thing was your wine and sparkling water menu (Vichy Catalan really does hit the spot), however it doesn't outweigh everything else. I've never been so disappointed to part with £550 in my life. Your menu, team and general environment need a complete overhaul. Avoid avoid avoid.

This was a first visit to the Mayfair location, after having been to the one in Soho a few times. This is a newer venue and it does have more of an upmarket feel, although we did end up with a very small table which required a constant juggling around as plates of food arrived! The two of us ordered the breads, cheese gougeres, sea bream crudo, beef tartare, the cod, the hogget and a side of cabbage. For dessert we tried the chocolate tart and the millefeuille. The food was mostly very good and in line with prior experiences however the hogget was a disappointment, being more bone than meat and quite challenging to dissect. Also, while the desserts were enjoyable, I thought they could have upped their game a bit here. Service was very friendly and the meal progressed at a reasonable pace. The bill came to £180, of which £15 was spent on drinks. Overall a solid dinner albeit somehow missed the wow factor I’ve experienced in Soho, where I’ve had some excellent meals. The cod was swimming in a milky jus, which made me nauseous. And the creme caramel felt like I'd been taken back to the 80s; it was such a boring dessert soaked in a horrid liquor-tasting sauce. I've rated this 3 stars because the cod was beautifully cooked but sadly ruined by the jus. The service was good, but that in itself is not reason enough for me to return.

The service was faultless and the atmosphere was cosy but cheerful, all the staff were smiling and happy to accomodate us. The food itself was average. The olives tasted like they came from a jar or can, being overly salted, as if stored in a brine. The starters and mains were delicious. I had the quince tart which was very tough at the bottom and overly chewy. The accompanying ice cream was sublime and the choux bun is a highlight. The espresso shots at the end were VERY bitter and of low quality. Overall: Stellar main and starters but really need to improve some of their accompaniments and drinks.

Firstly, the good things: service was outstanding, timely and courteous. However, the veg that came with a very good Barnsley lamp chop was overly creamed and overpowering. The chesseboard crackers were either too salty or too sweet, I really would like to see restaurants at this level serve plain crackers to accentuate the natural flavour of the cheese. Finally, the table for two was too small to allow for two plates and two side orders, water and wine glasses. The wine was generally very good, but distinct lack of new world (fyi), however their 2012 Pinot Noir by the glass was slightly past its best in our view.

Service slow and unprofessional. White wine and no cooler offered. Portions small. But tasty. Overpriced. But this is Mayfair.

We really enjoyed our lunch here, the staff are so friendly and the tastes and flavours of the food were amazing My only issue is the food could have been hotter, the plates were not heated. The cheese plate was very special

Lunch set menu was fantastic value for money - I wasn’t planning on having dessert but the quality was too good to miss out! Wonderful wine list and interesting and excellent value wines available in 75ml tasters or 125ml glass.

We had an excellent meal from start to finish in Noble Rot earlier this week. Barely a crumb was left on any plate, and excellent wines too of course. Attentive service and a cozy atmosphere.

Food took a long time but the food was good. Service staff is great. We went in early and managed to get a table without reservation. My boys and I agreed that we would be very happy to take two portions of oxtail tagliatelle for the two-course lunch set. The skate was ok but the sauce was very good. So, it went well. Parents took the whole fish and it was good too. Pasta was eaten before we got a picture!

We enjoyed a pleasant lunch at Cote, chose combination of starters and sides. The cheese soufflé and broccoli garlic were particularly good. Nice selection of wines, chose a muskadet which was lovely. The staff were particularly helpful and pleasant.

This is our favourite Cote, Kamil (general manager), Kasia (front of house manager) and team all work so hard and are customer focused. Yesterday we visited to celebrate my birthday. Warmly welcomed by Kasia and shown to the table I’d requested online. We were given complimentary drinks (I’d received an email as I signed up for the Cote newsletter which I recommend doing) by Kamil (thank you again). We had the Prix Fixe menu which is great value for money. Between us we had the Salad au Bacon, Poulet Grille with optional upgrade of triple cooked chips, Kamil explained and apologised that as a supplier had let them down they could offer my friend pan fried salmon instead of mackerel which my friend had and we shared a chocolate mousse! All were delicious. I was further spoilt by a brownie, ice cream and candle on a dish saying happy birthday! Thank you it as do lovely. The team here are an absolute asset to Cote! Thanks again to Kamil, Kasia and the staff here, we cannot wait to return next year!

The peaches in the peach salad were hard as rock (and were not caramelized as the menu stated) and the rest of the salad mediocre. The himachi was decent but very skimpy for 25 pounds. The linguine with prawns was good but the tortellini was terrible, one bite of the whitefish a bit suspect. What Italian doesn’t give free bread to soak up the extra sauce? It doesn’t even need to be good bread! Portions were all small and overpriced. Room is nice but two extraordinarily ugly photographs are difficult to look at. Waiter was very nice but what the manager did was appalling. I went to the bathroom and then came back. My friend then went to the bathroom and was followed out, accused of leaving without paying the bill. Seriously who would do that? They said they didn’t see me come back. Is this really a problem? We were quite upset. Manager apology was incredibly lame. Restaurant was mostly empty. It is in serious need of major changes.
