This is my local chippy. When it first opened the lite bite was excellent value for money. Enough chips and a decent size fish. On the last 2 occasions I had the lite bite the fish wasn't much bigger than a fish finger. Long wait in the chippy as they were busy getting online orders out. You would do well to remember your local customers!

Womble Inn is a small place in the Hardshaw shopping centre which is part butchers, part deli and, thanks to a counter at the back, part fast food takeaway. The range of food on offer includes breakfast barms, burgers, chicken nuggets and curry and chips amongst others. When I visited there was a fairly long queue whereas the Waterfields Choice bakery a few doors down was empty which was a promising sign. I opted for a beef brisket and onion barm which for ÂŁ2.60 was very good value with plenty of filling and certainly for me was a far better option than going to McDonald's for a processed beef burger. I'd bought my barm before going to a rugby match at the TW Stadium and was so happy with what I'd been served that I went back after the match, but unfortunately they'd stopped serving hot food by then. I'd very much recommend this place as a better option than McDonalds or KFC as you'll not only get better food at a decent price but you'll also be supporting a local business. I don't know when I'll next be in Sint Ellins in the daytime but I'll be most likely be heading to Womble Inn for lunch whenever that might be.

Went into Galloway's in eccleston just before 1pm lunch time to get some pies , pasty and cakes for lunch with my daughter. When ordered told no cheese and onion pastry left . I asked could I wait that's no problem as I don't like anything else . Told very abbrutely my a man who I am later told is the manager No !!!! When I questioned this as only lunch time ? Surely at some point would be some available. Told again abruptly with his arms waving everywhere I just told you no ! No more that's it . Manager embarrassed me in front of a quĂ© full of customers and his staff who I think was embarrassed đł by his behaviour. Turning business away from 1 pm makes no sense at all and talking to customers like that when asking a reasonable question about why not available for rest of the day is terrible customer service!! Tried to complain to shop gave head office telephone number . Awaiting a call back
