Called in for breakfast with my daughter recently. We ordered two full breakfasts, along with a pot of tea and a peach iced tea. The food tasted great and everything was cooked really well. However, our toast was served a few minutes before the rest of the breakfast so was barely warm when the rest arrived. The café wasn't very busy, so I was surprised to wait such a long time for our drinks to be served. They actually came after our food, which meant the tea hadn't had any time to brew and was too hot to drink alongside my breakfast. My daughter said the peach iced tea just tasted like weak squash, so that was a bit disappointing as it wasn't cheap. I think this place could be really lovely with a few tweaks here and there, but unfortunately I'm not likely to return.

Service was not fantastic. We waited for 15 minutes to be told you had to order at the till. Breakfast was average but the staff let it down. The only positive was the friendly people also having breakfast around us. Much nicer establishments such as The Courtyard and Toast as you receive quality food at a good price and a friendly welcome.

Lovely family run cafe, friendly staff and great food! During the pandemic the cafe stayed open and really supported the local community.

Got many take outs from here for my kids, just eaten in for a second time for the 6 pound breakfast. Really nicely presented and filling. My daughters go here all the time for panini and chips and love it. Always greeted with a smile by the young servers.

The food here is really good, it's just let down by the service...order came out completely wrong....twice. Cutlery was dirty and had to be swapped. Staff didn't seem that bothered about the mistakes. Unfortunate really as location, decor and food is all good.

My husband and I went to REDS on Saturday and managed to get a table outside. After ordering two vegetarian breakfasts and a sausage for our little dog and a tea and a coffee we sat and waited..and waited...and waited. After 40minutes my husband went back in to ask when we could expect our breakfast and was told they were a little behind. We waited for more than an hour before abandoning the whole exercise. Our dog had long since stopping eying the door expectantly. What really upset us was the fact that customers were turning up for takeaway food and being served promptly. We feel totally disappointed and will not be going back.

I LOVE here, I came here and wasn't sure that being VEGAN I wouldn't find anything, but there's all the veggie breakfast stuff for me/us and Now they have 'veggie burger' (with chips and HOME MADE coleslaw with the salad) Drink wise they've a board up listing the drinks - no 'special milk' that I know of (could maybe look into that?) but do do decaff tea. They have a specials board of which my mum and I got 'avacado on toast' last time we went. The people are really nice (think family/friend group) and willing to help you if they can. You find most people do a 'take out' set up and will sit on chairs waiting for orders. And naturally order one of their amazing - home made - cakes! Keep up the good work :)

This is my local chippy. When it first opened the lite bite was excellent value for money. Enough chips and a decent size fish. On the last 2 occasions I had the lite bite the fish wasn't much bigger than a fish finger. Long wait in the chippy as they were busy getting online orders out. You would do well to remember your local customers!

Womble Inn is a small place in the Hardshaw shopping centre which is part butchers, part deli and, thanks to a counter at the back, part fast food takeaway. The range of food on offer includes breakfast barms, burgers, chicken nuggets and curry and chips amongst others. When I visited there was a fairly long queue whereas the Waterfields Choice bakery a few doors down was empty which was a promising sign. I opted for a beef brisket and onion barm which for £2.60 was very good value with plenty of filling and certainly for me was a far better option than going to McDonald's for a processed beef burger. I'd bought my barm before going to a rugby match at the TW Stadium and was so happy with what I'd been served that I went back after the match, but unfortunately they'd stopped serving hot food by then. I'd very much recommend this place as a better option than McDonalds or KFC as you'll not only get better food at a decent price but you'll also be supporting a local business. I don't know when I'll next be in Sint Ellins in the daytime but I'll be most likely be heading to Womble Inn for lunch whenever that might be.
