Stumbled across this place the other day as we were working round the corner from it wow the price for the meal we got was amazing and the food was 110% as well we then called back the day after and we weren’t disappointed food and staff and price was excellent will definitely be calling in again when working round this way

Would give 0 stars, but no option for that. Ordered online at 7:30pm. A treat for my family (something we don't do much as we don't have a lot of spare money) £60 and 1hr 15min later, 3 items of our order turn up. The rest drove away before we could get the drivers attention. Rang the shop and they would ask the driver to bring the order. 15 mins later, no order and the other items cold. Rang shop to be told the whole order would be redone and sent. 2hrs 30mins later, order arrives, but guess what? Not all order there. A sweet and sour meal and rice missing. Chips cold. Veg spring rolls soggy. I've sat here and not eaten, apologising to my children for the crap on their plates, which has now gone into the bin. Now 10:30pm and we're all hungry, upset and angry. Always use to be nice but haven't been there for nearly a year (like i said, it was a treat) Wished I'd read the other complaints on here before ordering. Annoyed that I wasted £60.

First time customer I ordered at half 7, food showed up at 9pm (45 mins late with no notification of delay) Soggy spring rolls, barely cooked chips. Gutted as I had heard good reviews

Rang up tonight to make an order only to be told to ring back in 15 minutes as they are ‘extremely busy’, why not just take the order and delay it, what a ridiculous thing to say when you are a takeaway restaurant. I wanted to ring directly to avoid going through Just Eat or similar, I wish I hadn’t of bothered now. I rang back again to order and they just put the phone down on me.

Best fish and chips I ever had. I also reccomend the salt and pepper chips

Moved back to St Helens in December 23 heard loads of bad reviews about how much it had changed …. Let me tell you all I’ve been in tonight Donna meat and chips 10/10 Spam fritter best in st Helen’s and prescot by far specials mouth watering curry sauce up there with the best All the staff where exceptional but big praise and shout out to Philly what a guy professional but loves the banter 🤣 defo be going back top service top food top place 5⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Chicken Pineapple and Fried Rice was excellent, daughter said her Chicken Nuggets where nice too, winner!

Special fried rice was greasy n not fried salt n pepper ribs swimming grease kebab was fine

Couldn’t fault the food but pre-ordered for 18:00, food arrived at 16:50 far too early then a second order came at 17:30 which is hadn’t ordered and was still too early! Hopefully just one off mistake.

always delighted, but they always forget something, this time it was peas, last time it was sausage, but I don't care because its so good I keep coming back for more.

Best satay around. Piping hot and loads of it. Love that you get proper chips here and options as have disabled daughter who needs her food soft, most places do fries which are too hard even with curry on for her. Big thumbs up again. Delivery friend

Fish was bang average. Chips were soggy and undercooked, with the majority being full of black bits, and some being green too. This is my third visit spread out over the last 2 years and all have been disappointing. I won’t be going again. Food was quite expensive too (nearly £10 for fish & chips).

Chips had been 'cooked' in cold fat which tasted disgusting. Crispy chilli beef was not crispy but very slimey and sweet tasting. Kebab was dry and tasteless

Driver lied about when he arrived as we were in visible view of the door yet he claimed he ‘knocked on 7 times and rang the bell before returning’. Our house doesn’t have a doorbell 👍

placed a huge order for the whole family. 8 seperate meals and everyone was 1st class. possibly the best takeaway meal I have had in many years.

Food Lovely, massive kebab and salt and pepper chicken was top notch, missing some chips but instantly credited back via app and quality made up for it anyway... to be honest we didn't need them as what we got was plentiful.

Genuinely the worst food I've ever had. Ordered a chicken chow mien. The worst I've ever had jn my life. Tasted burnt and was dry as anything. Awful Would not reccomend to anyone. They do do a banging fish and chips but I absolutly would not reccomend for Chinese food. Absolutly rank.

the chips were greasy and not cooked, the special was over cooked and very greasy. The pudding was the only thing I ate the rest went in the bin. will not be ordering from here again.

We had a variety of food, fish, chips, savoury cake, curry and also a Chinese meal. Everything was amazing. Curry was lovely and spicy. Fish was white and crispy. Best food we have had in a while

sweet and sour pork was tasteless. prawn toast was awful, soggy with no taste and cost a fiver for prawn toast made with one single piece of bread. kids meals should have come with a toy but no toys so had a melt down from my 5 year old who was looking forward to it. waste of money and won't be ordering from there again

Friday evening, overpriced and what a let down. Fish dry and chewy. Chips dry and hard. Very small amount of cravey given. Donna meat rubbery. Spent £30 for 3 meals and most of it went in the bin. Never again.

the chips were barely warm, stale and al dente. the fish was dry and rubbery. the only redeeming quality was the gravy, which was delicious. this was overrated and very underwhelming. I'd definitely not order from here again.

Really disappointed, normally have no problems with The crispy cod but put an order in tonight at 6:35 and and at 9pm they told me they would have to re do the order as they didn't know where it was. Will take a while before I chance ordering again from them.

ordered 2 chicken gyros and specifically asked for it to be sent out hot, food arrived freezing cold , flatbread was burnt to a crisp and inedible , the chicken was dry and rock hard , the whole lot went in the bin and will never use crispy cod again , a waste of £27.00

Just moved back st.Helen’s and the crispy cod is elite!! my absolute favourite 🤩 it’s the best chicken, doner and kofte large kebab by an absolute mile 💪🏼 even the lovely staff lady brings my food outside to me because I have my dog with me she’s lovely……I would give 6 stars if I could…..only thing personally next time I would order more salad because they give you that much meat I need more salad 😂😂😂 I’ll order extra salad next time….cheer guys it’s the food place everyone deserves nearby 💪🏼

The delivery driver was very pleasant. However the fish was reheated and the battery was thick and greasy. The chips were only lukewarm and hard. I have always liked This place, but I had to throw my meal away. very disappointed 😞

Didn't even arrive. Bad attitude from phone call. Item was also to feed a baby.. their excuse was they tried to deliver twice but my number is on the recipt if they couldn't deliver.. asked to pay the driver to redeliver but when asked how to do that she then out the phone down! No money now to feed my son

Honestly the best fish and chips I've ever had in my life. Crispy golden batter incasing the beautiful piece of cod and the chips were so amazing, great taste and a decent sized portion. The delivery lady was lovely and polite, wouldn't never go anywhere else from now on. Great job by the staff

I have fish and my boyfriend has burgers. They have both. A one stop shop. Staff are lovely and friendly. Service is excellent got our order right first time. A regular stop for us.

Great delivery and lots of hot food

Non delivery, after spending over £50 here via uber eats to delivery driver gave our food to the wrong person, we were told then they wouldn't do anything about it. Get in touch with uber for a refund. Of which is not available due to it reporting out for delivery.

Ordered from here a total of seven times, four of those times something was missing from our orders, but we didn't complain. Then last night we put an order in at 4 to be delivered at 6 through Just Eat. At 5.45 they updated it saying it was on its way and out for delivery, by 6.20 there was nothing so we requested an update on the app, they then changed the delivery time to 6.40. When we phoned the restaurant they said their delivery driver had come in late, I said that doesn't excuse giving false updates, they could have just told us. When the food arrived an item was missing, again, when I phoned back up I said it was ridiculous and wanted a full refund for the fact they had lied with updates, were 40 minutes late on an order placed 2 hours in advance, and had missed items again, and over all bad service. The manager tried to mock us and said "you want a full refund just because of a sausage." I repeated again why and he said he can't do it only the boss can so it would have to be dealt with in the morning and gave two further excuses of "the system is down" and "we're really busy here" and also tried to blame Just Eat drivers. When we sat down to eat the food was literally the worst take out food we ever had, it was disgusting. The crispy wontons were wet and tasted stale, the chips and salt and pepper wings just tasted like cooking oil, the chips were also soggy, the sweet and sour sauce tasted like sugar in water, and the chow mein was cold. Still not had anything back about the refund either.
