Just Wings St Helens in St. Helens

Been using just wings for a good couple of years, but I must say over the 8 months it just hasn't been the same. I get it gets busy and food is delayed but I was always updated on that as soon as I placed the order. There is zero communication now which is very frustrating. Please bring this back. Its letting you down so much. Food isn't just the same either. What is going on at all.

Friendly staff, great tasting food

Great food. It was a little cold on arrival but it had travelled a while.

Food was over 90 mins late. Called the restaurant after it was half an hour late and was told it would be 15 minutes, it was finally delivered 45 minutes later, originally told it would be delivered inside an hour. Luke warm food delivered almost 3 hours after I’d ordered it, I asked for a refund but they refused. AVOID!!!

Good flavours. However everything was just a little overcooked.

Ordered from here a few times. The food is phenomenal. Lots of choice and great flavour. The downside is its a little expensive but I suppose you get what you pay for. I would highly recommend them. 5 stars from me.

Ordered 3 portions of the chicken strips and chips - £7 for 6 strips - they were more like the size of nuggets - they are actual chicken but the portion size is very small - one of the portions that came only had 5 pieces, to be honest, quality is good, but the strips aren’t strips so won’t order again as not good value.

Don’t get me wrong wings and fries were sound. Good flavour and texture. But the price for wings is astronomical, 12 piece wing for £12 is insanity. The rest of menu seems reasonably priced. But considering wings are so cheap to buy the mark up on them is a bit worrying.

Can't fault it, would definitely recommend.

I have had delivery's and I have eating in the shop a fiew times and the staff are polite and helpful The shop I clean an tidy, there is a pool table that I have played on, not a rileys table but you can have a game and they serve alcohol, if you into your football you'd be happy there, I have tried a fiew different things like the chicken on the bone and boneless, the fries, burgers, motsarell sticks, and onion rings,and milkshakes, if your into your spices then waw some of these will blow your head off, the only criticism I can say if its a spice or a rub The food as always spot on when I have order from here and come on time, I kno it can get busy with delivery's This place is a little gem if you like spicy American food, all I can say yumm :) If you want to park then your best on the side street

This is a great food take out! Can’t thank the staff enough they was lovely. The is a young pretty blonde girl who gave me my food she was amazing. Brilliant food and lovely staff will definitely be going here again.

Incredible food. Bit on the higher side of the price range, but the food is definitely worth it. Bare in mind though if you're in a rush, you're best off going somewhere else because you're likely to be waiting around 20 mins for the food. When it does come though it's definitely worth the wait.

Great food cooked perfectly milkshakes are also sensational always order through the just wings app or in store so I get it best and piping hot. Staff are brilliant and helpful with flavours too 5*

Food is always lovely but the service is incredibly slow. Waited 2.5 hours for food which is unacceptable especially when it has happened several times.

Ordered over 3 hours ago. Phoned after 2 hours and said on the way but never turned up at all. Absolute joke

Put an order in tonight at just wings St.Helens and I can say I was not disappointed. Food arrived in no time and everything in the order was right and tastes AMAZING. The lady who delivered my order was very friendly and polite.

Visited the st helens store to collect my food that I ordered for collection the manager had a scratch and sniff while preparing food didn't even wash her hands afterwards rude staff could see them vaping in the kitchen area aswel

Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. Staff extremely rude with a can't be bothered attitude. My meal was cold, chicken dry and fries overcooked. Staff think it's acceptable to vape in the kitchen in front of customers. Unhygienic, cross contamination. Only reason people should go here is if they want a reason to call in sick at work

It should have been out for delivery. Ridiculous- still waiting for the food. Extremely disappointed and all you get is a half hearted sorry

Ordered on ubereats. Forgot half my order, the parts that did come were FREEZING. Tried calling shop about 12 times, no answer. Dont waste your money.

We have been to Just Wings a few times now and we could not be happier with the food and the service. I don’t normally post reviews however, the food is lovely. I have tried a few different meals now but my favs are the boneless chicken burger with Cajun spice and the sweet chilli boneless wings are just perfection. Just a quick shout out to all the staff you are always polite, helpful and respectful even when it takes me ages to decide what spice or sauce I want. We have never had a bad experience here, the food is always delicious and the staff are great. :-) I highly recommend:-)

The wrap was really burnt to the point the chicken had disappeared, was over salted so my tongue had gone numb, and was cold. The milkshake was watered down and had separated and the onion rings were also over salted and very soggy and cold. We have been ordering from here for a while now and have given this place a lot of chances and are very disappointed.

No option for giving no stars. Food came two hours late. Rang after 1hr 20 mins to find out food hasn't even been cooked and would arrive hot. Food came cold. Never order from here again. Steer clear spent £35 on cold food

Ordered from here a few times, when I call to order for collection staff have been very friendly on the phone and in the shop, and when getting delivered, it’s on time and food Is hot and ALWAYSS amazing ! Never any issues !

Placed order with just at 5.45pm, food turned up at 7.40pm, nearly two hours. Food was stole cold and missing items so called them, now mistakes happen, but want happened next is just laughable. I called and was told that they’d make the order up again and get it delivered with the next driver, so I throw it all in the bin and awaited the delivery. 20 minutes later driver turns up with the missing item, asked were the rest was, was told that’s all he’d been told to deliver, so back on the phone and was told miss communication, they’d get the rest delivered again as soon as possible. Well and hour later still no food and not expecting any, £27 is the most expensive chicken wrap I’ve ever had Avoid this place at all cost, JUST EAT are the next to get a complaint.

Have ordered from here many times. Used to get the food within half an hour and it would tastes amazing. However over the last 2 months I have ordered about 6 times. Delivery has taken 1hr 30mins to 2 hours and food just is not upto the same standard. It's such a shame. Food took 2hours this evening. Yet they are opening more shops. They need to sort delivery times out for the shops they currently have.

Great place to eat, I order regularly, the only issue I've ever had was I once had boneless wings when I ordered wings on the bone but I mean that's a one off, there foods always first class mozzarella sticks are great, only of the only places I've seen offering lemon pepper in north west

Been a regular for 4 years. I've had enough of the inconsistency Regularly parts of the order missing. Their answer is to send the missing parts an hour later They can't refund. They have to email the owners Used to love it. But know all I can say is avoid Just to add more based on the reply Messenger message was left on read And the positive reviews and word of mouth reviews were withdrawn Based on the more recent reviews it seems this isn't an isolated case

chicken is just frozen stuff from iceland thats been dropped on the floor and then put back in the fryer. never seen worse food hygiene in my life, no wonder they hide it behind a wall. also they dont pay their staff. save your money and go somewhere else

Just shocking how many orders we have had wrong this year, don't normally complain but its no joke when you are paying a lot of money, they are expensive for what you get so should be bob on with things. Cant get through to them, left a message and still waiting over 2 hours later. Another evening spoiled so wont be ordering from them any more. reluctantly have to give one star as comment wont post.

Food was decent as always but they forgot the chips for two of our 3 meals. Not the end of the world. We rang up to request the missing chips and they said they would send them out…… we’re still waiting for them. Probably best we just get our money back for them instead

I must have eaten chicken wings in over 600 locations across 8 countries in my life, for something so “Simple” to do, i’ve often been left wondering how so few have got anywhere close to being bang on. Calling a restaurant “Just Wings” is a bold statement, a statement of belief in a quality product and a name that this place fully 1000% deserves and has earned. Hands down the best chicken wings i have tried across the UK to date and the best overall package. Price is spot on, Texture of the coating is spot on, Quality of the chicken is spot on, Flavour of the Sauce/coating is spot on, Service is spot on, Menu is explained well and is spot on. Genuinely Outstanding, not a single thing i could fault.

Waited about an hour for delivery which we're more than happy to do when the food is fresh, delicious and piping hot! We had the Jamaican Jerk wings, the Original Buffalo wings and the tater tots... Everything was so tasty!

Food was absolutely amazing as it always is whenever we order! Delivery was really fast and upon ringing was lovely customer service and the delivery driver was friendly too. Another absolutely brilliant lady , Alex is absolutely lovely and so professional. 100% the best place in St. Helens to order from. All of us love it here even down to the kids!

We have ordered from here a few times now and it's been consistent every time! Chicken burgers are fabulous, duck spring rolls have changed but still nice, mozzarella sticks are huge! They forgot our Dips and it takes a while (over an hour) but worth it.

Not only great wings and fries, but CONSISTENTLY great! There are a few takeaways I really like, but occasionally you get a not-so-good order, but this has never been the case with Just Wings. The Ragin Cajun wings are amazing, the Chinese salt and pepper burger, the fries are always crisp, the mozzarella sticks are huge. Definitely try them if you're on the fence

What can I say, ordered for my team yesterday who had deserved a treat after some incredible performance. 11 different orders, all arrive on time, hot, fresh and tasted incredible...as usual. The staff called to give me an update on arrival times and also double checked the order as we have a few fussy eaters. Superb service, great value and very much enjoyed! Well done team JW

Had a really bad experience with their customer service team via Facebook. I wrote a complaint following a poor quality meal we ordered from one of the stores last night (which I also stated in the comment, was usually excellent which was why we were return customers once or twice a month) and explained our disappointment following our poor experience. However, instead of taking the criticism on board to make sure it didn't happen again, I received a rather passive aggressive reply from whoever was on the other end, questioning my statement that the fries were not fresh (they were either refried or simply overdone, certainly not their usual amazing standard) and the milkshake being a watery mess was not addressed. They also took my comment of whether we would return following our experience as personal and stated 'We make one mistake and you won't return?'. Which made me very uncomfortable and rather shocked at the unprofessional assumption made. I was very surprised at the rude tone and passive aggressive manner taken by the customer service team member towards a young woman who had a genuine complaint and was not asking for a refund but just wanted to make them aware of the issue to ensure it didn't happen to anyone else. They made a poor experience worse and as a former regular customer I was extremely let down by the way I was spoken to by the staff of what was my favourite restaurant. I will miss their usual great food, but I won't support a company who clearly do not appreciate their customers and represent themselves in this way. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant highly for their food, but not for the customer service team, which is a great shame.

Ordered tonight and it was absolutely vile! Normally this is mine and my husbands go to place for “take away” with amazing service! But recently it’s been down hill. I was given mouldy colesaw, the chicken was clearly old and dry. My mouth is so sore and dry from the amount of salt on the onion rings, I’ve been coughing at every mouthful. Couldn’t even finish any of it! Absolutely waste of money and time. What a shame!

Would have given no stars. Ordered food (baring in mind it’s a Wednesday night) after work. First of all, it took 1hour 20mins for the food to be delivered. When the driver knocked, we realised it was the wrong order, so the driver politely said he would sort it out and be back with ours. He went back to his car, rang who ever he needed to and left. After approx 20mins driver returns with our order. When we sat down to eat it, it was freezing and half eaten. Ordered 12 wings, received 5. Ordered 12 firecrackers prawns, received 6, duck spring rolls only 3 and other bits eaten. I then rang the shop and explained what had happened and a lady stated that there had been a mix up so they had gone to the previous address and collected my order. For a start what a huge infection risk in a pandemic! Someone’s hands had been in my food and then transferring it to me. She then stated she would re-do our order and offer a 20% discount. Unsure how this discount can apply considering I had already paid? 2 hours after my order was requested, still waiting for delivery. Hungry after an extremely long busy day in work!

Amazing food every single time !!! Me and my kids have this as our new favourite topping McDonald's :'D honestly can't fault it, foods amazing, and the staff are so so lovely they always make you feel welcome !! Especially Ashley who works there always lovely !! Highly recommend to everyone even got family going now

Ordered from here and the wings were great. I also had the prawns which unfortunately had no flavour. The food came packaged well but took 2 hours 4 minutes to arrive. I was told it would be an hour to an hour & half wait. I ordered two portions of fries but only received and paid for 1 - I was advised that the lady on the phone didn’t hear me order a portion of each flavour of fries. I must say the people on the phone for the 3 times I did call were very polite.

Ordered tonight and so disappointed. Although th chicken was ok, it was barely warm, I ordered the prawns and they were completely tasteless. Now the chips with red salt, we ordered 3 potions and had to throw them away after a few mouthfuls, they were inedible there was that much salt on them. I am at a complete loss why you would absolutely smother and I mean smother them in so much salt, they were covered so much it had started to congeale on the fries. Awful, awful food tonight. Won't be ordering again sorry.

Ordered from here today for the first time and I am absolutely furious at the price for what you get. 12 normal standard tiny wings for £9 what planet are these people on? Chicken wings, the cheapest part which you can get a full box of from any supermarket for about £3 and what I know for absolute certain is just Frank's Hot Sauce poured over them is down right greed. The dips were 50p each which consists of about 2 squirts and £2 for a normal sized bag of chips you get at any standard takeaway. I feel robbed. If you order here and aren't bewildered by the price for what you get must be a lie.

I have ordered from Just Wings numerous times and cannot fault them at all, friendly staff and perfect food every time! Last year I ordered in person and always found the employees friendly and welcoming and they always seem happy to be there, and since then with the lockdowns, have ordered several times via the app and am always very happy with the delivery & quality of food.

Absolutely shocking service, after waiting over 1 and 20 hour for my delivery I called and was told they were just starting to cook it, to bad my lunch break was over 30 minutes ago, the person I called didn't really care....never again

I made an order about 19:00 Pm and I received it by 9:20 Pm. I am very disappointed with the delivery service. I would recommend other food places if you do not want to wait ages to eat.

Enjoyed a really lovely takeaway the other night...we ordered the American salt fries and boneless wings (cajun , BBQ and buffalo). When we ordered it only let us put one option of flavour for 18 wings so we wrote it in the comments and the order was spot on. Food was fast hot and really tasty and the only grumble was I wanted more...because it was so nice. Would definitely go again

Was absolutely fantastic! Picked up our delivery both got the chicken burgers and red salt fries and onion rings. And two milkshakes Couldn't stop eating it even after being stuffed! Best takeaway I've ever had. Will definitely be coming back!

Had the chicken wrap lunch meal deal.The wrap was delicious as was the Cajun fries.My only gripe would be that the fries could have been warmer and with more Cajun seasoning and the Ragin Cajun sauce was no hotter than the buffalo sauce from McDonald's.I think if you had a much hotter sauce (there's plenty of local hot sauce makers near here)then I would have gone to 5 stars.All in all though, decent £5 meal deal.

Thought i'd try with Uber having special 50% offer on any returant. ordered 2 different (6) wings, Jalapeno Flamers and fries at a scheduled time, delivered 40 mins early before Mrs got home. Good really as the wings are similar size to KFC's so £5 for 6 definatley not worth it, ended up ordering Pizza to be delivered still in time for Mrs to be home from long journey. Will not order again from here, taste was ok, nothing special. be preparied to either double what ever order you place or order from elsewhere as well if you want a meal.

First time customer tempted by an offer at last. The reason I liked this place so much is because you build your own meal, you're not coerced in to buying chips with everything, great for those on low-carb and who aren't keen on chips/fries. I had buffalo boneless wings, teriyaki fire cracker prawns, onion rings, garlic dip, Malaysian dip and a cherry coke. The prawns were only warm, but they're notoriously difficult to keep warm if they're not in a hot sauce, they were still delicious and most were still crisp. The buffalo wings were perfect. 6 is the ideal portion for 1 person, 12 if you've not eaten all day and you're starving! They were crisp, yet tender inside, I only wish I'd ordered a bucket of garlic mayo, between the wings and rings it didn't last! Onion rings were brilliantly done, I asked for no pepper in the special order and they followed that. The portion was very large, I couldn't eat them all at once and I've been nibbling on them all night, they're even nice cold! Overall a great and enjoyable meal. I didn't like the Malaysian dip, but that's personal preference, for 50p it's not a lot to pay to try something new. I will definitely be back!

They encourage you to download and use their own app, which I did. I placed an order which was rejected yet they took the funds straight away, i called the store to be told by the manager i have to wait 7 days for my money back? Ridiculous. Dont order through their app, if I'd have stuck to just eat like I used to then I'd have my money back already. As you can see from the reply from one of the owners, book passing seems to be how this company operates. Dont waste your time with them.

The onion rings were the best I’ve ever had! My boyfriend says “one of the best take away ever”. Really happy with how fast it came and how delicious everything was!

I had it again tonight after 2 years (sorry guys!) Just as good as before. I got Boneless Wings but usual love meat on the bone. Not quite as juicy but less hassle! Original Buffalo and Sweet Chilli my personal favourite wings. American Salt Fries were belting

Amazing food poor service and some scandalous pricing.£1.50 for a can of pop is wrong, ordered food at 19:55 told it would be with me for 21:40 arrived 22:30 spoke to the shop twice and go firstly said I was the next delivery this was at 21:50 spoke again 22:15 food arrived 22:30 just be honest and manage expectations.I ordered a wrap, Cajun fries and wings.Wrap = goodFries = goodWings = stunning You get what you pay for not the cheapest takeaway for what you get but the food is excellent and I don’t mind paying for that (£1.50 for a can of Pepsi )I would order from here again BUT it would be my last time if they fail again with managing customer expectations.

Found it by accident while doing a pub crawl. Mozzerra fries were delicious. We then has mac n cheese balls and spring rolls. All were excellent and very tasty.

Hands down the best fast food in St. Helens, amazing chicken with great flavours ( lots of choice as well). Chips are also very very nice! Not badly priced for the great food you get. Anyone in the St.Helens needs to visit this place.

I have ordered from here multiple times since it opened, it has been a few months since last eating here but my expectations was still high from my past experiences! Only to bite into my chicken burger to discover it was frozen!!!! Absolutely disgusted and will not be going back! Now I know why it’s reviews have gone down dramatically!
