Galloways Bakers in St. Helens

Why are some staff just rude!! I was polite, I asked for 2 Cheese and Onion and 1 Meat and Potatoe with 3 small Sausage Rolls. Because I never said “pasties” the older lady looked at me and said “pasties” in a rude tone, I said yes. She then firmly placed my pastie on the countertop so I removed them myself to next to the fill . What totally unacceptable behaviour. No idea why she was rude. No smile, nothing a poorly trained staff member in Eccleston St Helens. I’ve complained only a few times over using Galloways for 20 years. Today horrid woman

Best cakes in the world.. pink cakes are my favourite.. not the cheapest but great quality.. pies are very good too ..hot pots are fab

Everything is extremely tasty. After a long walk the Pie and Mushy Peas special is a must, especially if you like Gravy smothering it. Pies and Pasties are excellent. The cream cakes are fantastic. I am a regular...

Generally pop in here for a pasty , theyre not the cheapest but are certainly twice and more the quality - similar to a pimmis but not as spicy , the sausage rolls are enormous too and like the pasty are full of filling and not just pastry , my ickle treat on a Saturday whilst in town , even the pigeons prefer these over the competition , theyve just moved into the shop opposite the Yorkshire bank , BRILL .

Very good pies here. Quality fillings and nice pastry. great selection and good value for money.....

Arrived back from a long day at work and nipped in and had a lovely cake and sand which really enjoyed it would go back again

I feel compelled to share my poor experience with Golloways I ordered an Birthday Cake thee icing design of flowers and written scrip was cheap and not very tasty. Worst yet, when my complains and those of the party attendees! Completely indifferent to the legitimate concerns of a good customer The cake coke missing parts smash disgusting look! I pay in cash total price before pic up Bad experience SC

We have the meat pie, steak slice and numerous types of cakes. (Not at the same time may I add). It has been supplying the family for a number of years and the staff whether existing or new are always pleasant.

The quality of the produce on sale is very good and the variety is extensive. The service is efficient and friendly.

I cannot walk past place without buying a meat and potato pie. Me thinks that I need to change my route!

All day long the fresh food keeps coming. The range of hot pies and sarnies is super fab and they are tasty, very tasty. This is a Bakery and not an eat in eatery.

Well priced. Good variety of pastries. The custard slices are delicious! Perfect for a quick snack or lunch on the go.

The food in this bakery is good with a good selection of pies, cakes and samwiches, just need the staff to cheer up a bit

Decent food and bakery for lunch on the hoof or for supplies of pickings for a picnic, good range of pies and other bakes & cakes.
