Subway in St. Helens

Staff member Juliet is extremely rude clapped and shouted in my face because I asked for a meal deal before she got to the till.

Extremely rude member of staff, the woman was loud, bossing around other members of staff with a terrible attitude and hostile manner, also towards the delivery drivers. I almost walked out as she was aggravating me after being in the store 2 minutes and other customers recognised this as you can see from their facial expressions too. I honestly don’t know how the other members of staff work with her, they deserve a pay rise just for being made to work with such a toxic environment due to one employee.

Went in to order £40 order ordered the first sandwich big cheese steak when I asked for extra mozzarella I was told by the short haired girl serving us that she couldn’t do it I informed her that other subways do it and that it can be put through on the till with an extra charge she said no and refused to add the extra cheese. So we turned around to leave as subways ethos if your same which your way I’m not being told what I can and cant have. As we went to leave the sandwich artist began to shout abuse telling us she’s not being told how to do her job and we should start going to another subway so we did we went to the subway in Ashton where the store Manager made us the order how we asked for it with no issues and had a good laugh at the power trippy sandwich artist in newton If you want good friendly service go to Ashton

We had the misfortune of witnessing a rude female senior member of your staff shouting aggressively and antagonistically at a small group of teens who has called in for food. They seemed like a nice bunch of lads, polite and friendly yet for no reason,we could see, they were treated in a way I can only describe as horrendous. Screamed at to “to be quiet” the only one making a scene was the staff member. A couple ordered and they hastily left. As we left I was pleased to see a few of them sat outside Shaking J’a further down the street enjoying food. I do hope these teens have the common sense to remember how they were treated and continue to spend their money away from this subway. As a family we’ll think twice!

Love this subway. Always friendly. Always pleasant. Most importantly always clean and fresh looking food. Staff are lovely.

Excellent and helpful staff, quick service, good information, no hassle on time to leave, really good coffee at a great price. This was my first visit to Subway but it won't be the last. Thank you for the pleasurable experience.

Great subway. I watched today while a member of staff, who was finishing work. (Black polo shirt) Helped 2 customers who didn’t understand the drinks machine. The staff member helped and then carried drinks to their table. I’ve been in other subways but none match up to this one. Always friendly and always clean. My grandchildren love subway. We will return.

Best subway, really fresh, you can see the place is absolutely spotless. The staff are great, not your usual fast food experience.

I have never been so appalled by the behaviour of a Subway employee in my life. One older lady speaking terribly to three young girls behind the counter. "If you had have prepared better then we would be organised " spoken very direct and very loud infront of customers...In my opinion it is bordering on bullying. The young girl made me the worst salad ever..I don't blame her as she must have been very nervous . I will never visit this Subway again and have already spoken to Subways head office....

We visit this subway quite often as a family. The kids love a subway lunch. Always good service, staff friendly and always clean.

One member of staff, think it was the manager as wearing black, was extremely rude. not only was she rude to the customers but she was also very rude towards the other staff working. The other staff were actually working and getting on and she was just telling them they were doing it all wrong whilst standing there doing nothing. Would definitely not come back!

Never misses a beat always great service and even better food it’s good to see it’s up,and running again after all the lockdowns.

Love the new items on the menu. Potato crispers. This store is always clean, staff friendly, welcoming and always helpful.

Had a voucher to eat here. Staff friendly & helpful. Inside was clean & tidy. Good choice of sandwich foods/fillings.

Can’t fail to be impressed the food is excellent and so is the service it’s great to see they are open and back to a full menu, Subway has been sorely missed during lockdown.

What can I say subway is subway what you see is what you get. But in this branch there is always a friendly smile and staff are helpful. I’ve witnessed staff carrying items to the tables for people today. I asked for a tray. The lady explained due to the ongoing issues at the moment they can’t use trays. Also while we where in we watched the lady, cleaning, tables, chairs, door handles, drinks machine etc and they still did it while being jovial. Brilliant subway

Subway is subway. Fresh, fast, relatively healthy , Plenty of choice and the bonus with this shop friendly staff. Always clean when I visit. Would of posted a better photo but was so pleased with the new vegan range I just ate it.

Cleanest subway i've been in, and the staff are helpful and polite. I've read some of the previous reviews and think they must be mixed up with an other shop. The place is brand new and immaculate.

I visit this store regularly. It is always clean. I understand occasionally after busy times it can look slightly messy, but the staff always clean tables etc. The staff in newton store are helpful and friendly hence why I keep going back.

I went in this morning for breakfast and was absolutely disgusted by the woman who i presume is the manager! Not only is she extremely rude to customers but the poor young girl who was working there doing pretty much everything on her own.... if i was the owner of this business i would be seriously concerned by her attitude... she quite obviously needs to be retrained on how to speak to and treat people with respect!I won’t be going back, and i would expect i’m not the only one.

The older (lady) or should I say battle axe that works there is so rude, we certainly will not be going in again, she needs to learn how to speak to the public, she must be losing customers for you, as we can go across the road to a lovely sandwich shop, who are very polite and want our custom, our grandson, has said he will go across the road from now on, as he was upset by her attitude.

Had the new vegan sub. Was decent. Proper enjoyed it. Garlic alioli was LUSH though. Nice to be able to get a simple sandwich for lunch that tastes decent and has substance.

There is a particular staff member who works mornings who renders any visit bizarre and unpleasant. Today I went in to ask for the Sub of the Day, and you would think I had struck her mother! She thought about it for a moment, and then said no I couldn't have it because she was too busy. She said she was the only staff member in - when I said okay, I could come back in a bit, she snapped, 'I don't have anyone in until 9, love!'Just weirdly hostile and unprofessional. I would recommend avoiding this place, it's weird!

Had some vouchers sent to me, 6inch sub buy one get one free!!! as we all know a 6inch sub is £3.10 here, and you buy a drink, they ha no idea how to work the till, and when I asked if I could have a tea and coffee they said yes, when it was clear they could not work it out I said give me two coke instead (last time I had this it was just water) they said no its fine, so I was charged for 2 subs, two cokes, and tea and coffee, questioned it, the when checked the receipt went back and asked again, not interested, so the bets way is dont use free vouchers, and check they have charged you for what you get, not what they put in the till, last time I will visit.

Fast food with reasonable prices. Have it just the way you want. Clean and today. Plenty of room to sit and chill out.

I find all subways the same but this particular a Subway is staffed by a friendly helpful team. Great sandwiches and tasty salads for people on the go.

Called in today to grab a sandwich all I can say is I've never met staff so rude and uninterested subway sort your staffs attitude out not good enough

for a chain like this, you expect the cleaning and hygiene to be of a good standard - given how many people are on a shift at a given time. slightly overrun by gangs of kids messing about.

Always good for a quick sandwich from this food chain, probably one of the better ones, clean premises and friendly staff , quick service.

Subway like most Subways! Get what you go for, nice to have as an option on the high street. Inside is quite spacious.

This is a smaller Subway but still serves the same range of sandwiches as you would expect from the larger stores. It's clean and well maintained. Plenty of places inside to eat and thankfully it doesn't have music blaring out

We are been to numerous subway,s this one rates very highly,this is a good sized one.good staff,good service and good quantity of filling what more could you want

This place I would say is a better example of the subway franchises. Good staff and good fresh quality food.

Always greeted with a friendly face and the place is always spotless. It has been a really good thing for our local town.

Popped in here for a quick sandwich for lunch. There were 2 people serving, neither looked my way as I entered and I waited to be acknowledged whilst they finished their chat. I was the only customer in the place at about 11:45 on a Wednesday. I got my foot long sub and paid for it with the minimum of interaction, it was like id interrupted them. I don't think I'll return to this particular branch.
