Food came with chips barley warm but no serviettes, salt, straws, cutlery for salad and waitress was gone before we could call her back. I went to the counter to get aforementioned dining paraphernalia which took a while because while waiting for cutlery I found both tanks of ketchup as well as serviette dispenser AND salt sachet pot were empty. By the time I got back my chips were cold and so was my big tasty, it's taste soured further as my wife told me the veg bag was missing from the (not so) happy meal box -her turn this time to visit the counter. We've eaten here too many times and you expect them to give you a toy instead of a book in happy meal and vice versa and miss a thing or two off the tray but it all combined last night together with an almost complete lack of contrition from the team. Worst thing for me was the cold food -my burger must have been cold when it arrived although I wasn't there to taste it as previously explained. It wasn't as if the place was packed -far from it. Not anymore, Shelthorpe McDonald's.

Ordered food via the app. Waited in the car lane to pay and collect food. When I arrived, the app wasn't working (staff member admitted the app is useless) and then was told that they don't have what I ordered anyway!. Had to wait in the car lane even though I hadn't actually bought anything. There no way to leave drive-thru lane.

Over the past month the restaurant has gone downhill massively. October we ordered food via the mymcdonalds app. The order took 70 minutes to be delivered and when the food was delivered the labels on the food stated that the whole order had been cooked the minute we made the order- so had been sat on the side in the restaurant for over an hour. Someone in there made the poor decision to hand the bags of cold stale food to the uber eats driver and thought that was acceptable. The food was inedible on arrival so naturally I rang the restaurant who insisted it was Uber eats to blame as there was no drivers for an hour. Whilst I agree the wait was down to uber eats the standard of the food we received was wholly down to the staff in McDonald’s long rock. Anyone with half a brain and a basic knowledge of customer service would know to recook that food, I’m sure food hygiene wouldn’t be impressed that this behaviour is going on. This ruined a family party and both uber eats and McDonald’s refused to refund me for over £30 worth of food, not to mention melted mcflurries all over the drinks! Despicable. Fast forward to today, we said we’d keep buying McDonald’s so long as we collected it ourselves so we know it’s cooked to order and it’s not cold. It’s cheap and our children all eat it being the reasoning. We order on the mcdonalds app as my husband is the driver and is disabled, struggles to read the list out over the intercom so by reading out a 4 digit number this keeps it accessible for him. We turn up to the intercom at the drive thru and are sat there for ages waiting to be served, whilst the cars on the second intercom are flowing through one after the other, so they are literally only serving one side which kept us waiting way longer than necessary. When we finally got to read out the 4 digit code and proceeded to collect the food we were then told the online ordering system wasn’t working and we would have to go around again. I explained that we’d already had to wait nearly 10 minutes to be served at the intercom whilst others were put before us and this is completely unacceptable to be told this now, but we went back around as we didn’t know what else to do. Kids are seriously hungry now and the baby is screaming. Back to the intercom where we’re told the code still doesn’t work and to order manually and request a refund on the app. My husband isn’t able to do this and the order has disappeared off my app so god knows what to do now. We then have to wait, stuck in the drive thru for another 10 minutes behind all the people actually getting their food because we can’t leave. Our family and many others have had bad experiences here recently and will no longer pay our custom here until something is sorted out and some competent staff are hired. Customer service is utterly shambolic.

My daughter collected a meal For us as we don’t drive . The big tasty was missing so I called and was told it would be replaced if we went back .. my daughter had already left and to be honest it wasn’t being replaced because I never got it in the first place … I had no way of getting back and they wouldn’t send out with a just way driver end tho was their fault £6-78 wasted … absolute crap service
