Dear McDonald’s Customer Service / Manager I am writing to express my deep disappointment and concern regarding a very unpleasant experience I had at your Newbury town outlet on 28 April, 2025. I had ordered a Veg Burger, and to my shock, the burger had a foul smell, indicating it was not fresh. Even more disturbing, I found a strand of hair inside the burger, which is completely unacceptable and unhygienic. When I brought this to the attention of the staff and requested a replacement, the manager not only refused to resolve the issue politely but also shouted at me in front of other customers. This kind of behaviour from a manager is extremely unprofessional and made me feel disrespected and humiliated. As a regular customer of McDonald’s, I expected better quality food and respectful service. I request you to look into this matter seriously and take appropriate action to ensure such incidents do not happen again. Looking forward to your response and a resolution. 14 of us visited last night having pre-booked for my sons 18th. The staff had put banners up and serviettes with Happy birthday on which was a lovely surprise. The young lad who served us was polite, friendly and helpful and kept calm with so many different requests. Most of us had the mini fish and chips which was plenty big enough. My mum had the regular and said " wow! thats huge!" And just about managed it. All were cooked fresh and were really tasty ( which is why we come here regularly). Once again the lad was so helpful fetching me a lighter, more serviettes and a knife (which I'd forgotten to take) so we could do the birthday cake. I can wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant, although perhaps I shouldn't because it's a hidden gem and if everyone finds out about it we might not get in next time!

Use to be the best roosters in southampton with much better price but after a couple new staff within about the last 6months its literally no go zone. Every time i have gone hear they have got it wrong. The most basic orders. Sorry used to be really reliable. No idea if the manager is aware how bad its got since staff change. Its very obvious.

We have ordered a large cod meal and a chicken doner for the first time and I think this is my new favourite place. It was large as none of us could finis with it, chicken was tasty juicy and crispy at the same time. The cod tasted fresh, the fries like real potatoes. It was even looked better than on their pictures. The price was alright for this two large meals. Delivery was quick, it was at our door in 15mins . Will definitely order again.

Worst customer service.went there at 9:40 pm.for.coffee and use toilet. Three staff are talking to each other and said coffee machine is shut..it's happened for.the 3rd time in a row. Also toilet is.broken however there is no sign for out of order..Just appalling.mate put a sign up that you don't serve coffee after 9:30!

Unclean & contaminated! Order a special kebab got chicken & doner no lamb. A large piece of plastic found amongst it. Black hair in the garlic sauce! Rang to complain they thought I was on hold listen to the manager slate me & was offered another delivery. Asked for refund but they said they wouldn’t do that until it was collected. Still waiting for collection of the rancid food & a refund. I will report to environmental health which the manger welcomed. Absolutely avoid! Especially if you have children they may choke! Call ended as they hung up on me! Disgraceful customer service
