What an absolute shambles of a shop. If you enjoy terrible food for silly prices, with possibly the worst customer service in Pontefract. This is your place. Fool me once.

So when they say "create your own sandwhich" they basically mean if you want something from the menu example Tex Mex you can have that but you are not allowed to add anything else onto it.. so I thought I will just create my own from scratch but have the main things of a Tex Mex but with my own salad options.. nope! They would not allow this and I ended up with a Tex Mex with nothing I actually wanted on it from the veg part.

The bread is off, no wonder people toast it. Nasty food.

The drinks machine has not been cleaned in for ever as the drink spat out greeny brown gunky bits with the juice. I used to be able to have any salad I wanted with any sub I chose, but they say it's a set sub.

Have visited before and had a positive experience. Two weeks ago I ordered the same sandwich as today, previously I was able to choose my own salad but was told today that the sandwich had a 'set salad' after trying to tell the jobsworth serving I walked out without my sandwich. We are all short of cash at the moment and Subway will be even more so if they carry on like that. I've voted with my feet and will never set foot in a subway again. Diabolical. And I am not a serial moaned I just want what I ask for when I order a sandwich. Idiots.

Waited 2 hrs for it to come cold

They've changed the meatball to a horrible taste and full of gristle. They don't care, probably saving money by adding more toenails amd snouts. That's me done with Subway that was my favourite 👋

Only gripe had to have white bread with a fixed meal, no choice of bread.

Only serving cold sandwiches half an hour before closing. Think the staff just wanted to get off early. Disappointing

My mam went here to get couple sandwiches and my advice is avoid at all cost first off cheese is now a second ingredient that have to pay for separately that didn't used to be you pay 6 quid or so for foot long and dont get cheese included so what paying for bit lettuce an sauce?second asked for toasted didn't get and 3rd barely any meat on whatsoever just sandwiches of salad and sauce just plain RIP offs 🤬🤬🤬 if read this I suggest go to little sandwich shop or greggs

A couple of occasions where there's been little salad in a salad bowl or stale bread, which is rather annoying considering the price of some items.

Ordered food on just eat was delivered with missing items and what we did get was wrong never again and service was very poor

Bets subway ive been in shop was spotless , sandwich was great and customer service was fantastic

nice choice of salads and different flavoured baguettes and lovely sauces to choose from , been here numerous times and never have no problems

Waited an hour for two sandwiches that was wrong asked for one with chipotle and salad had bbq on it and no salad , my other sandwich I had asked for sweet corn and it had none on it! Do not buy from here!!!!

Absolute shambles! Ordered a takeaway and on the website said 20 minutes waited 40 minutes the app said still in store, but all of a sudden went to delivered but we hadn't received anything! I phoned the store and the woman was just so blase about it. The order is here but no driver has come for it. We asked so is it coming or not to which she replied no! So they made our order and just leave it there to go cold and nobody even notifies us that its not coming. Come on how bad is that. We sat waiting in good faith, then the food just goes in the bin because they have nobody to deliver it. That's just absolutely ridiculous. Never and I mean never again!!! Organisation and customer service skills both diabolical.AVOID!!!

Had a bit of a wait to be served. However Daniel jumped on and gave first class service polite and calm when the team were clearly under a little bit of pressure. Well done Daniel.

Got ignored while it took 3 staff members to do a take out order waited there like idiots to be served but after 10 minutes of waiting there 1st in the cue enough is enough they need staff who can be assed with there job

I walked in asking for a meal deal of my choice of ham and they moved my order behind someone else's and changed my order to someone's else's aswell from uber eats I had to leave the shop with no food and a waste of time

Ordered food none of order correct staff made out I was lying. Supervisor ignored calls awaiting mangers call. Will amend if they ring. Area manager rung great customer service on his part. Staff need more training. Got call back from area manager offered a cookie 🍪 when next order what an insult keep the cookie total waste of breath... when ordered from Castleford branch came perfect no issues will use them from now on.

Ordered an £80 order with these for my sons birthday. Forgot all the crisps with each meal and refused to bring them out unless we placed another order for a cookie. Placed the second order which came to over £5 due to small service charge and standard service charge. Right joke, extremely unhappy and will not use again.

Witnessed disability discrimination there. A, disabled man with visable mask exemption documents was refused service because he wasn't wearing a mask. It was a clear breach of the Equality Act 2010. If your disabled don't go as they refuse you service.

i visited subway with 3 other members of my household and was shouted at by a female member of staff for being too close together which we understood and moved apart, however the way we was spoken to was absolutely disgusting. This woman then kept shouting at her fellow members of staff as they were busy and then started to swear. The male behind the counter apologised for her behaviour however it just was not acceptable, we came to get something to eat not to be shouted and swore at!! I could not believe what i was hearing, i live in pontefract and this is my local subway however i will not be attending ever again i will travel further for the better service. I cannot believe this woman gets away with speaking to customers this way i am still well and truly shocked! very poor service.

This branch is absolutely disgusting the staff have no manners and I am sick and tired of attending after work at 6:30pm for a sit down meal and the staff always say it’s only take out now, when I ask what time they finish they say 9pm but they need to do the floors. The floor in the whole building would only take 10 mins and 15 to dry it’s obvious the staff are extremely lazy and out for an easy ride. If this were my business I would seriously look into this sending people out at 6:30pm when they shut at 9pm. Well never again another customer lost I will just go over the road to KFC no loss on my part but more customers lost for you as when I’m with my friends we will all do the same

I've had three deliveries from here so far, and the service is prompt and always satisfactory. I ordered a tuna sub which was delicious, and another time I ordered a BMT on the Ultimate Cheesy Garlic bread which was a bit too rich in flavours and grease for me, but that is a matter of personal preference. Overall, would thoroughly recommend!

I go to a Subway several rimes a week, different branches and I had never been to this one before - nor will I again. The store was quiet with one other person waiting and one person seated. The young man that served me was efficient but disinterested, having placed my order he asked me several times 'what was it again' I had to ask him to change the piece of paper he was going to cut my Ham on because he had dropped it on the floor but still intended to use it - I'm glad I was watching! My salad bowl was distinctly lacing in portion in comparison to the other Subways I have visited, so the value for money was also impacted. I was then served at the till by an older fellow who didn't smile once, didn't tell me the price - he gestured to the till display when I asked, I presented my Mobile for my Subway Points and he pointed to the scanner - again not speaking, I couldn't get it to scan so he snatched my phone off me - all without speaking to me. Then said 'Cash or Card' I hesitated while I checked my wallet which prompted a distinct 'huff' I paid by cash and he almost threw my change at me and went to throw my receipt away, I asked for it as I needed it for expenses and he again 'huffed' and said why? He reluctantly gave it to me - I wonder how many people check their receipts?

I’m a lover of the odd Subway sarnie and they’re normally a good standard. This was my first (and last) visit to Subway Pontefract. We were the only customers in the shop with the manager sat at a table on his phone and the youngish lad who served us. If there were awards for rudeness then he’s a winner. How rude? I’d say a definite 10. The food was awful and I’ve never seen any other outlet heat the chicken in a microwave but smiler in Pontefract did. I ordered a Latte and was nearly sick. I left with it and threw it away as the milk must have been off. If you’re really hungry then I’d suggest you stay that way! This is the place to avoid! It’s a disgrace to Pontefract.

A hot day hungry for a salad as you want it then visit subway every sandwich fresh from counter as a sandwich or bowl You will never be bored as there are so many permutations

Called for a coffe prior to a concert as it was the only place open for hot drinks without going in a pub or restaurant. There was only one other person inside who left once served. Two behind the counter. The tables were dirty, sticky with cup-marks & food debris, food and spillages on the floor. We found the cleanest table and was there about 20 mins, neither of the staff made any attempt to clean up. Disappointing to find it in a mess, coffee was good. It's a shame as there are very few places you can grab a hot drink at 6.30pm. No wonder Pontefract is going downhill, there's no pride left.

Arrived at 5 pm on Friday after a busy day Lovely clean restaurant with a huge selection of sandwiches called Subs The bread is baked in site with a large variety of different breads some for every taste The menues are clearly displayed over the counter with lovely pictures I chose the subway melt A selection of meats with huge choice of fresh salads ex refrigerated counter of your choice something for every one It was lovely to be able to choose your very own sub We sat at a clean table and added a cup of fresh beans coffee with milk and sugar self service This is a winner because you always have fresh food unlike some major outlets having to wait while they warm it up I was hungry and had a twelve inch job John and Jack looked after us like royalty and we finished off with fresh cookies This branch has been local to me for years and there is always a warm welcome Full stars

This would get 5 stars if it wasn't for the staff there. Don't you like the job you do?. There are no smiles, ignorant "what do you want?" NOT "Can i help you"?. Who trains these employees?..it then makes an unpleasant experience. Sandwiches though?..lovely, shame about the side plate of misery.

I can't lie, a big fan of Subway. Great fresh sandwiches made to order. What more do you want? tasty, healthy and easy to get to.

last time I came in there was a big hair in middle of my footlong there is nothing to put u off food than finding a big hair when ur half way through food not good

Called for fresh salad meal on a very hot day The customer in front ordered his sub as a salad bowl alternative Well it looked out of this world Fresh and I mean cold fresh salad in a huge bowl with his choice of meat So we chose a tuna meat base with all the really fresh salad This was the best ever subway meal I have ever tasted and I only found out how good it is by watching the customer in front of me Had coffee to complete the meal Went back several times this week for repeat feasts Sandwiches are lovely but salad bowls are the best Thankyou

I regularly visit this excellent subway restaurant it has recently had a massive re fit The fridge display is immaculate the food really fresh the special offers are major savings and then there is a points system for free food The staff are professional friendly and abide exactly to the local authority getting full stars The coffee is presented in a nice mug and is one of best I have ever tasted I love the fresh tuna salad it really melts in your mouth

It's a Subway, what else would you expect, they sell sandwiches, most of them they're OK. In this case they were awful, the staff were rude also. I don't know why I travelled over 3500 miles to visit this awful town and restaurant.

Its a Subway in my experience theyre all the same, good value and a nice selection to make a crackin sandwich. I do see what some people said about the staff as when we were in 2 of them were havin a little squabble between themselfs and ive also come across them in a few other branches chattin about what they did the night before etc... but it doesnt seem to effect them doin there job, you still get served swifly. Only downside to Subways in my opinion is they all have very limited seating but the food and cleanliness is usually the same good standard throughout.

Subway is subway so food is lovely but the staff in pontefract I must say rude and very ignorant. Make you feel very uncomfortable..they shouldn't be providing customers service with this attitude...makes me never want to go back but can't resist lovely sandwiches
