Pizza canoe in Wakefield

Used to be really good but gone completely downhill. Really disappointing. Food tonight was wrong and had to ring and get it rectified.

Didn't deliver everything we ordered. Called and said they would send it out. 2 hours later not received. Called again and they said they were waiting on a driver. Never did receive our items.

********SCAM DO NOT ORDER********* Ordered on uber eats, waited 1 hour 30 minutes then called up , they said the driver is outside my gate ( i don't have a gate ) i then called back and they told me the driver is lost, i waited another 15 minutes and called, they said they will re-make the food and send with another driver… after 2 hour 30 minutes of waiting i gave them 1 last call… no answer after 3 tries, used another phone and they picked up instantly and was shocked to hear me asking for my order again and they was still waiting for a driver …… JOKE do not order

First time ordering. 2 Chicken kebabs, Chicken Strip meal and Lamb Chops Excellent value for money Food cooked to perfection. Chicken was juciy, tender and full of flavour. Lamb Chop were superb even better than the chicken and the mint sauce just made them even better. Thank guys really enjoyed my food and I don't feel guilty when it's good quality and healthy

So we've ordered from this place before and they used to make some great food, but the food we ordered was burnt and the chips was inedible it was not appetising.

DO NOT USE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SCAMMERS Ordered through Deliveroo and after 3 hours still have no food. Rang them several times and they kept saying they are trying to contact the driver, eventually told us that the driver had been which was not true. Spoke to Deliveroo who said they were unable to get in contact with them so could not help. Rang them again and they said they would resend the food but that was a lie. So now no food and no way of getting a refund.

Food was always good but the last 4 orders where 1hour late and cold you need more drivers

First visit for pasta dish. Very good 9 out of 10 for lasagna . Not many places do take away pasta. This was good and they do other pasta dishes also. Staff helpfull and polite. Fast service.

Been eating here for years. Had a takeaway last night - absolutely amazing. The meats on the mixed grill are tasty as! They do the cheesy chips in the oven and their pizzas are amazing. It's one of our go to takeaways.

Great food but they say order on line and get 24% off but then add a service charge and the prices online are more expensive than prices in side the take away, when taken both these factors on board you are not getting 24% off if anything you are still being charged more don't order on line!

Order from here on a regular basis food is always great and most of the time I get my food after 30 mins on the rare occasion it has been late but it can't be helped if its busy the staff are always very helpful I won't order from anyone else 🙂

This takeaway is a MUST when you're in Castleford. There pizzas are 💯 and not just them, they have variety of food on there menu from grill to mixed platters to try. Definitely worth a try👌👌

I've been going there for many months when it was great, but I went there tonight and the standard tonight was shambolic. I asked for a large chicken kebab but I received a small portion and my fiancee had a lamb kebab. My kebab was barely cooked through and it tasted absolutely foul. My fiancée told me her lamb wasn't cooked properly on the inside it was still bloody and the outside of the lamb tasted of burnt.

The most discusting pizza I've ever had. Wrong sauce put on the pizza, cheap processed chicken nuggets cut up for the chicken and less than half of the toppings than specified. Do not order from this takeaway. I won't make the same mistake again

Used to like this place but last night called in for a meat feast. Clearly not enough staff or drivers. Girl on phone struggling to give callers a reason why there orders hadnt arrived after 2 hours. Guy serving coping with unruley teenagers running in and out of shop being loud and a complete pain. And the pizza i was given hadnt been cooked properly at all. It was cold slimmy and you couldnt pick any of it up. The meat consisted of bit of bacon and pepperoni never seen meat. Put me off wont return

Tried delivery and the guy expected a tip for bashing my door in fumbled with change for 5 mins at door, looking at me like I owed him. Get at take away from resutrant quality people good food. Good value. Most likely just walk round in future.

Wanted to try somewhere completely different and canoe pizza menu caught my eye. Website very easy to follow and use, there's no much choice kept changing my mind. In the end I settled for chicken shawarma meal, two piece chicken and chips and a variety of dips. Upon arrival I was served by a very cheery guy on the counter. Food was just being bagged up as I arrived. Got home after. A short drive, and loved that the food is wrapped very well! Southern fried chicken... Being honest. Didn't suit my taste, however they was large pieces and I got drumstick as I requested. Chips... Omg they're really good!! Loved that my salad was served separately, chicken shawarma, nan come in the same tray but sat on top... Wasn't hot but it's ok. The amount of chicken you got... Oh my!!! I got enough for two meals!!! Very generous!!! Dips, garlic...Good, mint, good...But couldn't work out what was in it to give the beige type colour. Chilli dip... Yep liked this as well...However too much food colouring for my liking Overall would definitely come back to try more food, great prices cannot go wrong

One of the best in Cas and my number 1 take away. Some great deals and the food is amazing when everything goes right, unfortunately I have had a few rare occasions where the delivery was late or missing food and their social media activity is lacking behind others in the area, I wish they'd be a bit more consistent (5 star worthy). I recommend the £12 meal deal which is enough for 2 big eating adults and/or the chicken kebab (£6.50), so filling and well presented so the dough doesn't go soggy.

Both the peri peri chicken wings and hot or BBQ wings are spot on, tried numerous takeaways in castleford and haven't found anywhere better for fried chicken! The chips come with American spice as standard, their pizzas, burgers, kebabs and wraps are all tasty. The sauces come separately so you don’t have a wet soggy wrap/kebab like you get elsewhere and the salad is a generous size, again packed separately. The only thing I can pull them on is that you don’t get a proper naan bread with the kebabs, it’s a large chapati that’s wrapped in foil separately but again it’s fresh and warm and not dripping in sauce/grease. We’ve placed 11 orders since 22nd September, they’ve never got an order wrong and the food’s always been spot on no matter what we’ve ordered. I weigh 9 stone 10, I’m not a slob I just have a very busy work schedule and can’t be bothered cooking when I get in. I checked the difference between ordering the exact same dishes through just eat and the pizza Canoe app... £20.50/£14.70 including delivery and that’s for 2 mains, sides, and a large bottle of pop. At these prices I could easily afford to order 7 days a week! The only other gripe I have, which I’m sure will be shared by others, is that when I order a bottle of coke I want a bottle of coke... not a bottle of Pepsi! Might sound petty to some but they are 2 completely different drinks! I’ll cut them some slack however, maybe coke’s been harder to source throughout lockdown! Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

One of the best Calzones in Cas and great value if ordered via their website. Pretty good chicken parmo's too! Certainly recommended and is one of our regular takeaway joins when we fancy a treat!

Best pizzas/calzones for miles. Chips are spot on, SFC is great. Food is delivered quickly and accurately apart from busy times (usually only +15 mins to normal). Give them a try!

Ordered for the first tonight absolutely fabulous food deffo order again

Takeaway delivery order via app. What was described as a gourmet cheese burger turned out to be a large, thin spicy, donor type meat (see photo), not really a burger and in a dry bun and some grated cheese. Pizza was meant to be chicken Kiev, but had no hint of garlic and chicken was just standard tandoori, reasonably tasty but again not as expected. Chips & cheese sticks ok. Baklava was very good though. Phoned them about the burger quality, after some back & forth a driver was sent to collect and give refund in cash. Overall pretty standard takeaway quality but doesn’t match descriptions or expectations given quality of the printed menu etc, a disappointment.

They accepted our order via Uber Eats and never delivered the food. Order accepted at 11.20 for delivery at 12.20 but never arrived. Not on considering we're key workers just finishing a shift at the hospital. Would never order from this place again. Having to attempt to get my money back now.

Absolutely spot on food the pizzas are to die for and so are the kebabs and the burgers have so much taste. Only called in off the odd chance and had it 2 nights in a row it was that good! Quality food at great prices 5 stars from me.

One of the best take aways in the area as long as you avoid using their own app and order via just eat. I wrote 1 star after I never received my food but they do deserve 5 for their quality.

Ordered food at 8.30pm food didn't come till 9.45pm they then forgot food which took more than half hour to come so rest of the food went cold then when the food they forgot came it was the wrong thing so over all not the best experience!

Having ordered on a food app realized after an hour the food would have gone to my address and I was actually at my sons (silly I know ). I telephoned pizza canoe and the said they had tried to deliver to my address but they agreed to bring to sons home . After 20 mins telephoned again to be told it would be with me in 5 mins as he had re made the food. When it arrived it was hot and tasted very good. Will definitely use again

The donna meats were dry and looked like plastic and all the food was flat cold. After waiting almost 1 5 hours on a monday night!! Shame the food isnt as good as the new menu posted. Wont be ordering again!!

We have become regular customers due to amazing staff, service and food. I personally think theirs is the best kebab in Castleford and my husband prefers their pizzas to anywhere else around.

I always come to this take away for a donner burger. It's delicious, cheap and the portion sizes are amazing...not sure what happened last night though! There must be a new member of staff in the kitchen or it has changed hands because I was left disappointed last night. We ordered x2 chilli con carne burgers and one donner burger. We collected them, got home and sat down to eat. The donner burger bun was rock hard and had no chilli sauce on (even though I didn't specify to not put it on) and the chilli con carne burgers were just burgers with chilli sauce on - no mince meat at all. The last time we had a chilli con carne burger it was delicious proper home made chilli. I phoned the takeaway to tell them and they brought 2 new chilli burgers straight away and delivered them (we gave them the old ones back) there was mince meat on the burger this time but still just covered in chilli sauce?! How is this chilli con carne? Someone needs a cooking lesson me thinks. Not sure I will be coming back was completely let down by last night. If you want a proper chilli con carne burger go to pizza prima!

Absolutely shocking service unacceptable that they couldn’t even find the driver ordered food at 6:05 in the evening still didn’t turn up at 7:30 rang The store twice to be told that they couldn’t find the driver because he was new then had to make my own phone call to cancel my own order on just eat and then have to wait seven days for my money to go back in to my account and still haven’t had my food would never be ordering from canoe again wouldn’t bother can’t even get the staff to be able to deliver the service that they actually do

Up here visiting my mother in law....decided to order a takeaway for the whole family (4 adults + 3 kids) large order....delivered within 30 mins...hot and fresh....kebabs,pizzas,chips all of great quality and lovely fresh salad...will definitely be ordering from here again 👍

Took 2 hours for our order to arrive, when the driver got here he parked on a neighbours drive and then walked across our front garden!! We only ordered two pizza's, which were below average, so greasy and not at all what we expected. Will definitely not be ordering from here again.

I ordered a calzone and chicken kebab with chips, when I asked how much it would cost I was told £15. When my order arrived the calzone box leaked grease all over my front door carpet and the bill came to £16.10p and not the £15 that I was told over the phone. The chicken kebab was dry, there was no salad or dip as is advertised in their menue. I managed to eat less than half of it and the chips were soggy. The calzone was also extremely greasy irrelevant of the fact it had left an oil slick all over my carpet! When I rang to complain and told them I was going to leave them a bad review I was told they could send me another pizza out to make up for it. Unless another pizza is going to clean the grease off my carpet of get rid of the heart burn I now have after trying to eat the dry chicken kebab I think ill pass! I would not recommend this take away which is a shame as their menue looks great, they just haven't delivered what they advertised!

Ordered a Family Special Conoe yesterday evening. It was fantastic. They told us how long it would be. Arrived on time and was warm and mouth watering good. Always had lovely grilled food from Conoe. Great service friendly staff.

we ordered from here whilst at the daughters although the food got delivered relatively quick that's the only plus point.we ordered pizza although edible it was rather a poor presentation the base was hard and the toppings was well what i thought under a sloppy type mixture i cannot describe.im aware we all have differant tastes and views but im sticking to our home patch in Morley for the pizza takeawayReturn order ? thanks but no thanks !

Walked in ordered food. Woman behind the counter rolls a fag then decides to stand in the door way smoking it!! Then all the frozen food gets taken out of its bags and put in a house hold freezer draw!! Right place for some food cross contamination

This is a very good takeaway. They are always on time, often they tell you they'll be late but then arrive on time anyway. I appreciate that they avoid letting a customer down. The food has always been hot, generous and tasty. They are my teenagers' favourite. The delivery staff have always been very polite and friendly to us. The menu is standard for a pizza/kebab place. I do think that they slightly better for veggies than their contemporaries. Thanks.
