Lovely food , and absolutely rapid delivery, all round great

The pitta was a brioche not what I expected and the meat was very oily. Been going for years but no more

Horrible experience, ordered through Justeat last night. Got horrible food. Tried to complain on the app but as they did not update it to delivered, we accidentally cancelled the order but got £0 back anyway. then at midnight one of their employees showed up to my house demanding I order again so they get paid. so we have paid twice for one order. he promised to refund us and cancel the order from the shop however he pressed delivered so we did not get a refund. Tried calling up today and spoken to 3 employees who all claim they don’t know what we are on about and telling us to contact just eat when it was their employee who showed up to our house demanding we order again. no help at all and out of £50 which they will not refund. No help at all. Telling me they cannot sort it as they have no manager in but when we called back 20 minutes later suddenly we was talking to the manager? Proceeded to tell us his worker made a mistake but he will not fix it for us as somehow it is just eats problem? Even though they showed up at our house and promised us they will sort it out from their store by cancelling the order. Then later in the phone call denied it was his worker who came to our house even though we have camera footage. Completely useless.

Think we just ate the best chips ever!! I did throw the burger up that's more a reflection of me than them

Food not great last 2 times , over cooked chicken and dry, chips hard and greesy. Bad for price. Price is fine if food was better.

The staff is absolutely rude I went in there for the first time I wanted to order some food there waiting for about 10 minutes then the guy who was on the phone stated are you ready? I then started my order and the man was mumbling, so I asked if he could repeat himself, he was mumbling again, whilst in the middle of the conversation the phone rang, and he decided to pick up the phone and ignore me after another five minutes, he put the phone down and said are you ready? That we hadn’t already been in the middle of conversation beforehand. I then was reading of the handheld menu and I wanted to order some wings and I said four wings he said we don’t do for wings I further stated, but it says on the menu he then got off of his chair, pointed out on the screen stating that we only do six, so I pointed at the menu saying it says here you have 4 he goes on the screen again, pointing like I was a child and then stated I’m not wearing my glasses I cannot read I didn’t ask them to update their handheld menus. I then asked for a meal when I was finished ordering. I then had to wait 20 minutes for one meal and six wings he then threw the drink on the table He needs to be told what customer service is and how to deal with customers otherwise he’s going to get food thrown in his face

Brilliant food I always go here as I live nearby , always great food ! Although a little expensive but worth it !

Best kebab on the island, everything is fresh, tastey and delivered on time.

Absolutely shocking and it's a shame because most the time food was great, some times their food was either overcooked or cold and sometimes missing items. When contacted about items they said okay no worries when you come in next time we will add it no charge, now normally people don't order take away every day the week so our orders are monthly now when we asked about items owed they say no you have to order same day or next day (which was definitely not mentioned) and when we was speaking about they was very rude and didn't care what so ever.

Have ordered several times, always tasty, hot, fresh. Friendly guys in the kitchen will have a chat with you while you wait if they're not too busy. Their delivery times are always quick. The chicken shish is my favourite. So tasty.

Poor quality of meat they use. It was dripping with grease and had a lump of something hard which has chipped my tooth. Will be trying somewhere else from now on.

High quality food with a lot for your money, served by friendly and courteous staff with a quick turnaround ...... and for those who cannot visit, they also do a local delivery service. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

Previously had good food from island grill. Unfortunately the delivery today of 2 chicken shish kebabs and a quarter pounder beef burger and chips was extremely disappointing. The paper wrapping for all 3 meals and the bag of chips were very wet which sent alarm bells that something had leaked. On opening the polystyrene boxes the food was cold and the pittas and burger bun were too soggy to eat. The lettuce was wet, the salad was mainly onion and the food was cold. On contacting island grill he apologized and said this was because the food was hot when it went in the boxes and offered free delivery (£1) off the next meal. Not worth the risk. Do not order.

Order from here previously and it’s been okay. This time the food came and all of it was soaking wet, not just a bit of steam, it was drenched. The buns of the burger and the pitta fell apart as soon as you touched them. The rest of the food was cold, the chicken was burnt and cheap. Called to complain and he said there’s nothing they can do and hung up. Disgusting attitude and food. Just avoid.

I have used island grill for a while now they are always busy but no 2 visits are the same sometimes the food is nice and enjoyable other times it’s bad toppings missing off pizza burnt and generally horrible island grill special has got smaller in size stale pita breads and generally smaller portions it seems if you are a regular your food starts to go down hill I will still use them in the future but for now it’s time to try someone else also they should have some sort of hat or uniform instead of just a t shirt

Just ordered a vegetarian pizza with onion rings and chips . It’s safe to say I won’t be ordering from here again. The cheese and topping fell straight off the pizza as soon as you lifted it to eat it, didn’t taste great and wasn’t hot. The only good thing was okay was that it came in good time...

Disgusted by the way the owner speaks to stuff always got my food from here but never agian the poor young girl who works in the shop shouldn't have to put up with the way they talk to her

Ordered a lamb doner, got chicken... Chips look and taste like they've been sat in the oil overnight but were still undercooked.. Veg kebab consisted of 2 mushrooms a few slices of onion and a few bits of pepper in a pitta for a cost of £5. Onion rings weren't that bad compared to the rest of the tripe they delivered. 2 bad takeaways on a row from here now.. Onto the next one down the road

As a vegetarian it's my husband who enjoys the kebabs, however I did try the veggie kebab, which comes with hummus and salad and was pleasantly surprised. Would definitely go back for more.

The best on the island and my local and best customer service if there's a problem its rectified in less then 20 minutes turn around legends thanks for pefect food always hot spot on delivey cant thank you enough keep up the good work.

Had delivery from Island Grill, Waited almost an hour for food. Understandably Saturday night busy. Food was cold and tasteless,had chicken burger that tasted and looked like cardboard. Considering I’m almost in the same street, don’t understand why it was cold. Had some hot spicy chicken wings,they were worse than the chicken burger. Partner had a burger which was also below the usual standard from Island Grill. Chips burnt cold and hard. Won’t be using them again, plenty of choice on the island that delivery hot edible food.

Always use island grill, if they have ever got my order wrong they instantly sort it and send me new stuff

Ordered a 19inch Essex fat girl no mushroom bbq base. Like i have done for 2 years. As my son is allergic to tomoto puree. Pizza came with tomoto puree so phoned them and had a really rude man on the phone telling me he made it himself and Its diffently bbq. Causing me of lying. When delivery driver turn up he confirmed it was tomoto puree and took the pizza back. Got no apology from the man on the phone. Won't be using them again. Extremely rude

Would give no Stars if possible waited for well over an hour for the food to have a rude person answer the phone and when it does turn up its freezing cold

We have previously used this place on canvey. And have never been more happy. The food was fresh and well presented. And never has the order been wrong. However over the past three months there had been nothing but problems. Not just from our family order. But from orders that have been placed by friends and family. And the quality has deteriorated. On two consecutive occasions there had been items missing from the order. Yet when we have asked for the items to be delivered we were told it would be half hour. By then the meal would be ruined. And never any form of refund or anything. Even the girl on the phone sounded like she could careless. My advice is stay away.

I normally order a delivery from island grill but today I went into the shop as was passing anyway and boy was I shocked. The staff are filthy, I saw sweat dripping from one man's head onto pizza, another was so dirty and was touching everything with his dirty hands that he was putting his finger in his ears. So rude and unfriendly too.

Very very rude. Disgusting service. Never use again. Speak to you rudely then when you cancel because of the foul mouth they try to force you to still buy. Worst ever service. Treat delivery staff poorly too

Went to collect god during England Columbia match on Tues 3rd July. Guy at till took my money, I paid in cash with quite a few coins, he then coughed into his hands. We went straight over to make a pizza, buried his filthy hands into the grated cheese and piled it onto some poor persons pizza. No gloves, no washed hands. He transferred his cough and germs and whatever he had picked up from the money he’d been handling. Absolutely disgusting - this place should be closed down.

Not a good Kebab shop. Doner is mostly cereal filler, no lamb, and not much spice. I ordered a large with salad and Chilli peppers, for which I paid £7.90. What I got was, at best a medium kebab, with 'No' Chilli peppers. Staff are sad faced Turk's who look as though they don't like being here... Well flight's home are cheap lad's, just mug off a few more infidels like me and you will be back in the holy land.

Great kebab and burger bar serving copious amounts. Great delivery and competitive prices. Great Saturday evening takeaway.

Friendly staff nice place nice food

This is the last time I will order food from here.. I have ordered food from here several times before and it has always been excellent! But this time it was awful! The food arrived really early, thankfully we was at home. They got one order wrong and kindly sent out another. They asked for the old order back which was very odd! I gave the meat to my dog and would not return it after both myself and my husband had pulled the food around.. god knows if they were going to give it to another customer.. yuck! The second wrap was worse then the first, I asked for salad and they had added the smallest amount.. honestly there was like 4 pieces of lettuce, half a slice of cucumber, half a slice of tomato and 6/7 pieces of onion. I rang the resturant to say that I was not happy with the quality of the food.. They said that is how it always comes but I have ordered wraps before and they have come filled with salad.. their customer service on the phone was absolute crap! Will never order from them again.

Rude manager. Requested food back after they messed up my order, I'm celiac and they put pitta bread in with my box of mixed donner (just meat) and gave me a mixed donner kebab instead. (Which contaminates meat)

I always use here for chicken donners, they're portions are generous, including the salads, and they are reasonably priced.

Ordered a large doner kebab - boy, there was so much gyro meat in there it was enough for 3 people. There humus is really good and you get about twice as much as you would in the supermarket for the same price.

Great takeaway kebabs, burgers, wraps etc. Good value, speedy delivery service. Good value for money.

Over the years we've had so many take aways ordered over the phone end up arriving with something wrong or something missing. We've had about half a dozen takeaways from Island Grill and it's been bang on every time. The food is not only delicious and good value but we all order different salads to go with different meat and it's never short of perfect. It's good to know you are going to get what you wanted and it's going to taste good too.

Went in there an ordered food, an coz I pointed out about there hygiene. The manager got aggressive an attacked me. Now the police are dealing with it.

Have had several meals from this shop. All been lovely, did once have cold food delivered which was very over cooked. Rang, and within 20mins, received and food was excellent.

Have always gone here as they are the best locally, we always have pizzas and chicken donners. Noticed that the salad portion with the donner, is now really small compared to the generous amount we used to get, which is disappointing. Other than that, no complaints at all.

Always lovely food from here! Fast delivery and salad always fresh. Our only winge is they occasionally forget things, but always put right in a phone call...can't fault them at all!

Have used this place several times,the food is good, hot and generally on time.I usually have the 19" Essex Fatboy Pizza which is superb and definately serves at least 2 or 2 meals, as I prefer. My last venture was to try the Island Grill Special a superb combination of various kebab meats + Pitta breads, chips, salad, coleslaw and dips. There is so much there I certainly couldn't cope with it on my own and although 3 pitta breads are supplied there is probably enough for 4/5 people. Excellent would recomend to any & everyone.

Waited over an hour for food, called to be told that our food was delivered to someone else with not even an apology.

Meat was very tough and rubbery. They replaced the meal but same tough meat again. Missus requested money back and got spoken to very rudely and belittled by temporary management. Will not be ordering from here again.... Favourite grill all the way! 🍔🍕🍢🍟

ordered pizza and kebabs from this takeaway and was absolutely amazed at the quality and quantity of food you get for your money. They make pizza the size of an alloy wheel lol and it's about a tenner. This takeaway are setting fantastic standards and have made me think twice now about ordering from anyone else. keep up the great food and prices island grill :-)
