Went here on quick Saturday tea and breakfast round. Ended up spending much more time here, doing some work and brief reading. The place is nice, specious and busy. Good food and very nice staff.
Highly recommend.
This place is a little gem. Best Full English breakfast I’ve had in ages, a right bargain too. Staff are lovely - friendly and chatty. Such a great vibe. They’d run out of orange juice so went and bought some so I could have a glass. Also we left some stuff behind and they came and found us to return in. Would go again 100%. Lunchtime stuff looks amazing too, if I was local I’d be here loads!
We had a lovely evening. It was a 6 course taster menu and all of the courses were delicious and of a high standard. The waiting staff were very attentive. We felt it was great value for money and will return again soon!!
We have visited this restaurant several times..in fact it’s become our “go to” restaurant when we go to Stamford. Always friendly efficient service ..food is second to none, whatever you order exceeds expectations..with a strawberry daiquiris to die for. Thank you Amore
First time visiting this beautiful place, and was such a delight! Freshly made cakes and scones, and sandwiches, so much to choose from! The service from Natalie was absolutely brilliant, she is a credit to this place, and I can’t wait to visit again! X
Food is average. The service on the other hand was dispicable. Asking a family to leave purely because there 2 year old son may make too much noise is not acceptable in my opinion. If this place doesn't welcome children they should state it when you book and not embarrass people in front of there family on the day. Extremely rude
Super tasty lunch , we had toasted sandwiches with skinny fries. The cake selection looked amazing although we refrained.
Nice place to sit after an explore

Amazing experience from start to finish, we visited based ok past experiences from friends and family and they were not wrong, we arrived to be greeted by one of the owners who sat us down and explained how the ordering at table worked and gave us an honest recommendation about how many sliders and sides to order. We placed our order for nachos and our first round of cocktails with ease and they arrived promptly, this set the time for the rest of the night as we tried about 10 of their cocktails and were not disappointed.
The sliders were incredible, we ordered 2 each and a large side of chips and this was a substantial amount of food, the sliders were cooked perfectly and the pulled pork were to die for.
We left to go for a few drinks round town but returned around 9:30 for more cocktails as their cocktails were the pick of the bunch, despite being the only two in the building on a quiet Thursday we were made to feel welcome and play board games and on leaving had a lovely chat with the couple as they told us of their future plans for the place which I must say sound really exciting
Popped in to have a pint and exchange Christmas presents with a friend. Lovely pub with welcoming staff, good beer and a classic village pub feel. Going back today 😁.
Visited for Sunday lunch, well presented @ generous portions, value for money ,staff friendly @ attentive, lovely surroundings, Visit regularly @ will continue to enjoy what the Hide has to offer.
Called in to this little tea room just off the Main Street in Castleton.
Lovely place, greeted by a very friendly lady. After much deliberation we chose two cakes and a pot of tea.
Cakes were delicious and the pot of tea came with a pot of hot water all served in white china...perfect.
Would definitely recommend.
