Amore Italian Restaurant in South Kesteven

So lucky to have found this restaurant while on holiday. Its a winner. lovely venue with very attentive staff, making you feel like a regular. Excellent service, somebody dropped a knife and before it stopped bouncing it was replaced while another person dropped sauce onto napkin and this was replaced instantly without asking. Good menu together with specials and nice wine list. Food was great and actually authentic Italian rather than an English representation and portions were generous as well. Defiantly recommend and we will return without hesitation on our next visit.

Lovely restaurant, friendly staff, specials are always good. Try the seafood pasta. Wine list is good and reasonably priced.

Visited Saturday evening , first off they couldn’t find our booking which I had an email confirmation for , however they did manage to fit us in . Ordered barrata starter which was ok , a bit bland . Then main course was sea bass which 3 fillets came skin side up which was well overcooked dumped on a pile of soggy wet spinach and what seemed like dishwater with a few pink peppercorns thrown in . Wife ordered a risotto which was terribly bland with no seasoning . Too many young girls just standing around with their hands behind their backs just smiling at people. Badly run and bland so called Italian food and mega pricey . Will definitely never return .

Best medium cooked Fillet Steak I have had for a very long time !!!! From as soon as we arrived the service was friendly, professional and welcoming. All the staff were smiling and attentive which made the experience special all night. The mussels were so good, the flavour of the liquor/sauce they were cooked in was excellent. My husband had the Halibut which he said was gorgeous. I had the Fillet Steak medium. It was cooked to absolute perfection, tasted like Steak should, not bland as is often the case elsewhere. The best Fillet Steak I have had in a long time. Complimehts to the chef on Friday night. 26th April. Accompanied by the Merlot which again was perfect. What an evening. I have never eaten here before, I will definitely be returning and I would highly recommend a visit . Thank you Team Amore !!!

we were in the area for 5 days and ate almost all meals out and this was the outstanding meal of the whole trip my mouth is watering just thinking about it just stunning food and would thoroughly recommend. This is the place not to miss

What a nice surprise, this restaurant is a hidden gem in Stamford. Food was fresh and tasty. I had the antipasti which was incredible good and generous. The steak is to die for. We definitely coming back

Have visited before in 2022 and couldn’t fault it but sadly my recent visit was nothing more than average. The price and quality were not matching up for us; you can get a superior Italian in Stamford for the same or less money. The biggest disappointment for us was the antipasti platter: poor quality meats, strange pickled vegetables, a stingy slither or cheese, dry bread and flaky thin crackers. Sorry but this just wasn’t the one so I won’t be returning.

Went on Thursday before Easter and it was full so a really good atmosphere. The service was very good. We all enjoyed our food although my husband found his calamares starter far too salty. I had a seafood pasta starter and rare fillet steak with side for main. Both were very tasty - the steak was very good. We all enjoyed our evening here .

Cosy authentic restaurant. Gorgonzola risotto with butternut squash was delicious. Restaurant was difficult to find down an unnamed narrow lane. Had to use Google maps.

We chose Amore for our 54th Anniversary treat and what a treat it was! The aroma of good food met you at the door, the atmosphere was good, , the service was excellent; friendly. attentive and professional, the food was really good, best olives I’ve had in a long while and lovely bread, the seafood pasta was delicious as were our desserts all very reasonably priced. We’ll definitely be back and tell our neighbours and friends to visit. Thank you for a lovely evening.

Absolutely fantastic! We’ve always wanted to visit Amore and try their food, and we were not disappointed. The food is authentic Italian, and the menu is brilliant. The menu itself is small and simple but that’s how it should be! The service was excellent, and the owners were so kind, approachable and attentive. The food was incredible. It was fresh, and tasted perfect. Proper Italian food! The restaurant is cosy, warm and has a fantastic atmosphere. We are definitely going to bring our family next time here. It’s was amazing! So happy to have found this hidden gem on TripAdvisor, had I not searched best restaurants I'd never known it existed. Utterly gorgeous place. We sampled steaks, pasta, seafood all of fantastic quality and the staff so courteous and lovely! We had the most gorgeous evening and wine selection is great, also lovely limoncello. Excellent service, attentive but not overwhelming. Seated upstairs which was both spacious and intimate for a couples meal. Food was superb, liked the option of a smaller plate for main course. Fabulous choice of cocktails too. Cannot recommend highly enough (and my husband is a chef so can be critical!).

OH EM GEE. amore restaurant is unbeatable. simply unbeatable. the service was great(especially from the red head waitress who i would LOVE to give my number to.) the ambience was impeccable, the food was delicious and quick and as a carbonara fanatic, i can confidently say it was the best carbonara i’ve ever had (including carbonara from italy itself!) it was creamy, packed with flavour, delightful, light and cooked to perfection(off the menu). my father enjoyed his too and was delighted when i asked if we could return, seeing as i’m very very fussy. amore is what i feel for amore. would return

Great service, great food, great wine and a lovely atmosphere. My husband had swordfish with saute and I had my favourite, Carbonara, which was absolutely delicious. Nothing more to be said! We went here some years ago when it was much smaller. Pity we don't live nearer......

Went for a meal with my boyfriend! He had the lasagne and garlic bread! I am gluten free so was interested to see what the pasta dishes were like! i had the stroganoff pasta and was very yummy and we would return!
