Lovely tearoom tucked away in the countryside. Clearly popular with those in the know, it’s a true hidden gem. We had the afternoon tea, pre booked a day earlier. It was delicious. The bread was lovely and fresh, cake moist and scones still warm. Lots of jam and cream too. Couldn’t fault the food and the service was even better. Very friendly and polite. It was refreshing to have an afternoon tea that had clearly been made only minutes earlier from good quality ingredients, at a reasonable price. Highly recommend!

Brought my elderly mother for a bite to eat and tea. Their tea room is quite compact but lovely, we did like the colourful decor and the tablecloth designs, a nice touch. As you enter there's a long counter topped with an extensive array of wonderful cakes displayed under glass. Great to see each cake labelled so you don't have to ask what they all are. There's lots of space outside where you can sit at picnic tables with parasols. There are geese, ducks, different breeds of chicken, even a black lamb roaming around and amongst the tables which is great especially for kids. We had a pot of tea for two which provided us with several cups each and after some debate ordered bacon and avocado salads. They were a good portion size and beautifully presented. After we shared a huge slice of blueberry and white chocolate cake which was so nice we tucked in and forgot to take a photo! All the cakes are made with triple sponge layers so two lots of filling plus the topping! Staff are friendly, efficient and helpful plus there's a good sized carpark. Well worth a visit.

Having driven past this place many times and not visiting, we felt we ought to give it a try. On arriving we were not impressed by it's slightly tatty appearance, but were given a warm welcome by the staff. We decided to sit outside as it was a pleasant sunny day, the tables could do with some TLC and the parasols provided were just shoved through holes in the table and left at an angle. For company we had had 10 or so ducks a goose and annoyingly several wasps. The menu offered the standard Tea Room offerings, sandwiches, ploughman's etc. A big thing was made over the variety of cakes on offer, these appeared to be very popular with other customers. We had the ploughman's which was perfectly adequate for the price, staff were friendly but a little 'ditzy', forgetting to bring milk for the coffees and bread for the ploughman's. All in all what was on offer was O.K., we have had worse and we have had better, probably will not be returning though.

I had the best afternoon tea here. It was amazing. The tearooms are beautiful and easy to find. There is plenty of parking outside and there is an additional area outside for children to play. The whole experience was brilliant. There is unlimited tea and coffee with the afternoon tea and there is a brilliant selection of both. The food was incredible. There was a great choice of very tasty sandwiches and the vegetarians were well catered for. The cakes were amazing; there were three different ones all absolutely delicious. The scones were also great. The staff are so lovely and welcoming. They could not be more pleasant and helpful. Even though it was Saturday afternoon, we did not feel rushed or pressured to finish. Looking at other tables, the lunch food looked amazing as well. The afternoon tea was fantastic value. I would definitely recommend here and we will be back.

We needed food so decided a sandwich would do ... how wrong we were, this is not just a sandwich! This is literally the best sandwich we have ever had. The bread was so soft and bouncy and the salad fresh and crunchy, the filling was not skimped upon it was almost exploding, still full up hours later. Staff were patient while we took time to decide and helped with personalised recommendations. Family run business and the owner had time to chat afterwards, everything freshly made including home baked cakes which we bought home with us. We will be returning asap to try the other items on the menu. We literally cannot stop talking about this place - its a hidden gem.

Lovely sandwich well presented. Great cake and coffee but asked for a jug of water and it looked like they had just removed the flowers from a vase! The ‘jug’was grubby looking ( I know the dishwasher can leave this appearance) but the water wasn’t cold and it had bits floating around in it, it may have been dust but it was off putting . The staff were friendly but they don’t seem to be aware when you have finished . We sat for a while with plates in front of us waiting to be cleared so that we could order cake.

We decided to go here after looking at the reviews and are pleased that we did. When we arrived I would not have been sure we were in the right place but for the sign near the door. It is a wooden building with a conservatory on the rear. It is unusual but a lovely atmosphere, very pretty. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn’t want too much as we we eating later and couldn’t decide between a sandwich or cake so we had one of each to share. Without being asked, the staff split the sandwiches between two plates, with their own garnish. They also managed to cut our slice of cake into two and served them to us separately (we had the lemon, ginger and pistachio cake, it was gorgeous). This was a lovely touch and most appreciated. We sat with a view of the ponds where some people were fishing, and we watched the geese and ducks. I would definitely recommend this tea room.

The soup arrived and upon first taste I was in soup heaven. I enquired what the soup was and it was stilton and mushroom. I dislike stilton on it's own, so this shows how wonderful it was - it was by far, the best soup I've ever tasted. Everything is homemade. Definitely worth a visit - I've returned a few times since.

I love this place and it never disappoints. The food is always amazing and the staff are lovely. They have now had an extension which makes it even nicer-I love watching all the ducks outside whist I’m all warm and cosy inside. I’ll be back soon to try their afternoon tea as it looked delicious

I discovered Manvell Farm tea room a couple of years ago. I have been a regular visitor ever since. Natalie and her team are all fantastic. The food is fantastic, I love the homemade meals and cakes. Natalie is also very happy to accommodate off menu when she can if required. All staff make you feel welcome, the ambience is perfect. I love the renovations they completed whilst they were closed. Whenever I'm feeling stressed I pop in, Manvell Farm is my little slice of heaven. I'm so lucky to have this on my doorstep. I cannot recommend Manvell Farm highly enough.

We visited the outdoor restaurant and pizza bar. The bar area had a really nice holiday vibe where you could sit outside overlooking a stunning showjumping arena. The staff were very friendly who quickly served us and took our food order. We had soft drinks and vegetarian burgers, with chips and homemade slaw. It was delicious and competitively priced. We'll definitely return soon, even if to just drink and take in the atmosphere.

A proper pub/restaurant in West Haddon. Our first visit on Thursday evening, met by welcoming and friendly staff. How good to see a menu of interesting and diverse dishes. And it did not disappoint. We had starter of Ham Hock Terrin, followed by the Beef short rib and The Brisket pie both with fresh vegetables. All well cooked and presented by an obviously competent kitchen. Everything was exellent. The food and drinks were very competitively priced and the whole place had a good vibrant atmosphere. We will be back soon to try some of the other mouth watering dishes.

Visited on a Saturday night. It’s a warm and inviting stone-built country pub. The menu has a few interesting Portuguese influences and I can recommend the house red wine which is also from Portugal. The menu is not extensive but I’m sure most people would find something they like. I had a pint of prawns followed by lamb cutlets, which came with some nice green beans and new potatoes. The bill for 2 including 3 glasses of wine and dessert was around £100. Not cheap, but good value. It’s a very good option in an area not well served for gastropubs. It’s also dog friendly.
