Thanks to Aga for making our stay at the Judge's Lodging extra special. She greeted us, helped carry our luggage to our room, provided restaurant recommendations that exceeded our expectations and was so personable. In addition to the high level of service the hotel is centrally located in the old city. They also provide an early breakfast before many of the area restaurants have opened -- a great benefit when you want to get an early start. If we return this would be our go to hotel.

Ooh lala, lovely food, couldn't fault it.

Decent place to watch sports but the door man who insisted we buy another drink, after we had already bought two rounds, or we'd have to leave...on a Monday evening, after watching a Middlesbrough game, when the place was not even half full. Was a little aggressive.

Went here for breakfast with my Mother, paid £11.95 each, I can honestly say, it was the worst breakfast I have ever had. We tasted everything on the plate, and that is all we did. I'm sure they deep fried everything, even the bacon which had more fat than actual bacon, except for the egg which was mostly raw. Coffee was nice though. The toast was too thick and overcooked, couldn't eat that either. Very disappointed.

Typical pub fare. The menu is exactly the same as the menu of the Dickens Pub near Paddington station, London.

Mi mamá y yo visitamos Kennedys ayer y no vamos a regresar. Vinimos a tomar un bocado ligero y unas copas. Pedimos la ensalada feta e higo que estaba deliciosa y los nachos sin jalapeños. Desafortunadamente, el primer lote de nachos estaban completamente pegados en el papel a prueba de grasa y en realidad no pudimos comer ninguno de ellos y tuvimos que enviarlos de vuelta - no hay problemas, es lo que es. Cuando regresan con un conjunto fresco de nachos, estaban cubiertos de jalapeños - a los que soy alérgico. No dijo ningún problema y se fue. Él regresó, pero teníamos una sospecha inmediata de que simplemente los había recogido y teníamos toda la razón! Cuando empecé a levantar los nachos encontré 5 jalapeños, prueba de que no estaban frescos y que los había quitado. Found this place by chance, while on a mission to fine at least 1 pub doing sundey roast on Sunday! Really nice Sunday Roast, portion was just enough to fill us up and leave space for a lovely dessert and digestive! Owners are just the sweetest and kindest hosts and the building is just AWESOME. Recommend visiting when in York!

I wouldn't recommend you to eat seafood pie, because it doesn't have any inside. There were only 2 tiny shrimps. There should have been salmon and another fish, but we couldn't find it. There were only potatoes. The one with steak is better. You place the order somewhere else. You buy the drink yourself and bring it to the table. I think it's popular because of the location and environment.

So I had the humour with a roti bread. The proportion of humour to bread was ridiculous. There was a massive plate of humous which was delicious by the way but 1 very small pitta like bread. When I asked for more bread I got charged another £2 which made the dish cost nearly £10.

Quería un donner y patatas fritas con salsa de ajo y nos dieron menta que era horrible. Incluso nos dieron básicamente cebolla con ensalada.

In York for a few days and stopped for a drink or two. Staff friendly and the beer garden was nice to sit in. Did see food coming out that looked nice. A nice place to sit and catch our breaths.

It not all bar one York anymore,?? It's called The Terrace folk's xd

I am very impressed with the food, service delivered by Nasar and the general atmosphere. 5 Star ⭐ The Shawarma was the best that I ever had!

Terrible service , staff don't care. Food ok. With our small menu came a huge handwritten list of dishes not available. Order at bar. Nobody asks if food is ok. Staff young. Maybe they just need training
